5 out of 5 eggsGreat camera

Pros: Great camera ... excellent photos. Like that it uses AA batteries. Much better than running out of power on the road.

Cons: Wish it took 4 batteries but if I am going to take a lot of photos I would always bring extra batteries regardless.

Other Thoughts: Very similar to another canon camera I have and love. I purchased this for my son who knows the controls on my camera this camera has the same controls. modes etc.

This is almost as nice as my Canon A630 for half the price.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is the fourth Canon Powershot I have purchased. I bought two of these; one for mom and one for mom-in-law. They are very tech unsavvy to say the least :) but with very little instruction are taking excellent pictures and can even put them on the computer and email them. Very good quality cameras!!! Just need a big memory card and yer set.

Cons: 32mb memory card you have got to be kidding......

Other Thoughts: If you want a high quality camera that is very easy to use for really cheap you can't go wrong with this camera in my opinion.

4 out of 5 eggsEasy to use

Pros: Good pictures at good price. Easy to use.

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: Comes with a small flash card so i picked the bundle that came with another card that holds 500 to 800 pictures.

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid Powershot

Pros: It does take nice pictures when it works.

Cons: Canon seems to be cheaply producing lots of cameras. I'm very disappointed they have chosen the non-quality route and the poor customer service. We had our powershot a little over a year and it broke. Beware of any review that only talks about the camera after a week of use. It was the sensor that broke in it (apparently a common problem with Canon from reading other reviews). It costs more to replace than it's worth. There have been many other complaints of the exact same thing among other quality issues, but Canon won't issue a recall until most of the defective products have been payed for by the customer and/or when the camera is worthless.

Other Thoughts: Buy a quality camera not a Canon or get the extended warranty, you'll need it.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Camera

Pros: I bought this to replace my seriously outdated Kodak 3.2MP Easyshare (laugh if you want) Of course this is exactly what I expected it to be. Good picture quality compared to others like it on the market. Loads of nice features and options. And support for SDHC, always a plus.

Cons: Yeah, as with all modern day tech, power requirements are just as demanding. This thing will eat any alkaline you put in it. Spend the extra "green" on some high end NIMH. And you're gonna have to purchase the SDHC card seperatly too, unless you're not taking many pix with it.

Other Thoughts: I've never tried Canon before. Had plenty of Nikons, Kodaks, and a HP. It's gonna be a lot of fun to see what a Canon can do.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat camera for the price

Pros: Picked this up for my wife. It is nice and compact, but not TOO small. It's about the size of a deck of cards but a little thicker. Good image detail. Automatic modes work surprisingly well. The 'face detection' is way cool and the fact that the camera exposes to those points does a lot for having the proper exposure. It does have some manual modes for more creative work. Auto ISO works as you would expect.

Movie mode is VERY good. It's very much like having a digital camcorder in the palm of your hand.

Reviewing the pictures is quick. They even have transition effects to make things a little more lively.

Cons: Goes through batteries, especially when the flash is used. Grab some NIMH 2500mah or stronger batteries and a charger. Lots of red-eye, but that's to be expected by any camera with the flash so close to the lens. No hot shoe to mount an external flash.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a small, all-in-one camera that takes good pictures, this is it. It does have some limited growth potential if you want to explore. If you want to use external flashes or be able to change lenses, look to the Digital Rebel DSLR line instead.

Check out Transcend's SDHC cards. A 2GB card holds a little over 600 pictures.

I'm used to higher-end DSLR cameras. In comparison, these images are a bit noisy when looking at the images full-size on a computer, but I believe that to be a trait of all digital cameras in this price range because of the very small physical sensor size.

I've had some one-hour photo prints made, and they look great.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very simple, very nice little added effects while browsing and snapping shots (fading/red-eye removal/face finding feature/and picture rotates to view/many others). The video setting has great quality. In a nutshell it is well worth the price, and i've seen numerous people buy worse cameras for equal or greater prices.

Cons: The only complaint i have is when you take flash off and the lighting isnt 'great' the automatic feature doesnt adjust enough for decent photos to be taken, so you are stuck to almost always using flash (cause if you dont you'll get lots of smearing/smudging across photos).

Other Thoughts: Bought mine with a 4gb SDHC, no complaints yet!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Camera

Pros: Out of the box it was easy to use. No problems trying all the features. After the initial tryout I read the instruction booklet for further understanding of some other features so I was able to use it more than I thought it could be used.
Glad I looked this one up. There are others out there that cost a lot more but why spend it?

Cons: None at this time

Other Thoughts: Might be nice if they offered a rechargable battery kit as a combo package
