5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: I was familiar with the Canon quality with my PowerShot A80. After years of use, I was ready for a new one. After much searching, I decided on the PowerShot SX200IS. I have not regretted my decision. I love the larger screen and coming from a 1 1/2" screen, I feel like I've moved from a black and white TV to HD.
The 12.1 mega pixels have wonderful clarity. Pair that with the 12X optical zoom and you have an awesome combination.
I like that the battery is one that can be easily recharged and that the recharging unit is compact.
The camera is very light and the size is good...although I will admit that I had become accustomed to the protruding bar section on the A80, as it made it more comfortable to grip. However, this would not prevent me from purchasing this camera again.
As a suggestion, I would certainly buy a camera case for protection, especially for the screen.

Cons: I use my camera a lot at school to take pictures of my student's art work. I have noticed that it does not capture violet to red-violet colors accurately. This may be something I can easily adjust, but I've not taken the time to check it out. All other colors are captured to perfection. The camera also does a great job of capturing detail in a project.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat camera

Pros: This camera is compact, has great features, takes great pictures and is fairly easy to use. I really like that it can take wide angle 22mm pictures. There was a negative comment or two in other review about the pop up flash getting in the way. I don't feel that it's a problem at all. The zoom is great and the camera feels real good in your hand when taking photos. I bought an 8 gigabyte memory card and can take something like 2,400 photos at 4,000 x 3,000 resolution. I also own a Sony DSC H-20 camera which I really like. I think the Canon has it slightly beat due to the 28 mm wide angle lens. Picture quality is great and colors are rich. Also, camera can zoom while taking HD video.

Cons: None so far and I have been using the camera everyday for a week.

Other Thoughts: I purchased both the Sony DSC H-20 and Canon Powershot SX200 IS cameras for Christmas. I had intended to return one of the camera. Unfortunately, I like them both so much that I intend to keep ( and pay) for them both.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome camera

Pros: I bought this camera to replace my older Canon Powershot and I have to say that I have no complaints whatsover. Ease of use, widescreen lense, large LCD display, functionality, and just the overall quality of the product. Once again Canon done it again!

Cons: Well, the pop-up flash flips up as soon as you turn on the camera and stays up and can sometimes get in the way with a finger or two but other than that it's a great camera.

Other Thoughts: Anyone looking for a 12 megapixel camera with lots of features, widescreen lense, and excellent picture quality, here's the camera for you and it looks great too! I bought the red colored one.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Quality

Pros: Great Quality pictures, high battery life, 10x Optical Zoom for those longer range pictures.

Cons: A bit bulkier than the pictures? I still like the camera.

Other Thoughts: Also, on the left side of the camera, the design of it curves outward in the front, the product pictures on newegg don't really show that it's there.

5 out of 5 eggsWife Loves This Camera

Pros: Great pics, substantial options, unbeatable optical zoom given the modest size of the camera, decent battery life

Cons: Not so small that you can stick it in a pocket, you need to have a really steady hand (or some other means to steady the camera) to take full advantage of the 12X optical zoom.

Other Thoughts: My wife owned a competing top-quality superzoom point & shoot and never really liked it. It produced great outdoor shots, but dark indoor pictures. This camera has a diminutive but remarkably effective flash, and the indoor shots are as spectacular as the outdoor images.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is a great buy, If you are looking for a all in one camera then get this one, between the high quality pics and video it takes and all the individual setting that you can customize there isn't a shot you can't take with this. Everytime I spend some time messing around with the camera I find out more cool features. This is my 4th point and shoot camera and it is the best so far.

Cons: Can't Really think of any, The battery indicator was telling me I had a full battery when I didn't but I had already taken over 4 GB worth of video and pictures so by that point I knew that it was getting low.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: After one week of practicing I feel like a pro. With this Camera it has not taken a college education to use. I love its great quality Photos and Mov of the Grandkids and new puppies. See at littlnet sites. I use a 16g memory with the org. battery which has lasted over a week before it ran down. I use this camera daily.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I should have bought the whole kit at first. My old hands are bit shaky. No fault of the camera. This site does not upload mov. format.
