Pros: Basically everything it says on the specs. takes amazing pictures and video for the price of the camera. Waterproof, awesome.... and is small enogh to fit in pocket. takes pics like the high end cameras but doesnt cost 2k. Once you play around and get all those odd pics of random whatever that was done, and setup, it will do it all for you if you set it that way.
Cons: Battery life could be a issue if using max resolution which is just amazing with this camera. Pananoramic and vid recording will drain it pretty fast. I bought a kit just for this camera that came with another battery and a awesome tripod and monopod with case and stuff which works great with it. Also, I bought 4 or 5 NL10 batterys as they will work with this camera. Just charge them up night before and rock it.
Other Thoughts: Like in cons area batteries are a good idea. I purchased SDXC 64gb card for it also. Sandisk with speed rating of 10. The kit I mentioned can be found on newegg as well as the 64 gb card, and kit has a 16gb one too. Girlfriend took to Botanical Gardens in OKC and shot well over 300 high resolution pictures and 20 or so and 1 to 5 min. high res movies of waterfalls and butterflys, all that stuff. ugh, lol. Anyways used 1.7 gb on card and went through 1 battery. So, yeah, amazing camera imo. Great gift for her, just now I have to look at 1000s of pics of everything, lol.

Rating: 5/5Great Rugged Camera
Pros: Rugged, but still good design. Fast start and snaps photos quickly. Special camera modes for your environment (underwater, auto, vivid) Great screen and easy to navigate/understand menu structure. Lots of features. Good quality outdoor photos and HD video. Has optical zoom!
Cons: Rechargeable battery (be sure to get a spare) The panoramic mode does not really work well.
Other Thoughts: Purchased this camera with the intent of using it for Hawaii and snorkeling trips. Has worked great when using it on our vacation and takes great underwater pics! Survived a 3 foot drop on concrete and still works despite external scratches. Be sure to get a floating wrist strap and spare battery to help you get more out of your investment with this camera. This camera is worth every penny and is great for capturing your outdoor adventures!

Rating: 5/5D20 vs D10 - A Solid Upgrade
Pros: Good image quality (same resolution as the D10 but shots from the D20 look a bit better in color/contrast) Great LCD screen (brighter and higher resolution) Underwater abilities (still great as with the D10) HD video (HUGE improvement) Dedicated video button (for me this is big, now I can switch between video and pictures without touching the menus) Better zoom (though I try not to use it, zoom is 20x vs 12x) GPS tagging (though it kills battery and I never use it)
Cons: Struggles with action shots (same as D10) Poor results in low light conditions (same as D10) Door opening levers feel lower quality and are harder to use than the D10 was LCD screen gained 3 scratches rather quickly - though I wouldn't say it is any more scratch prone than the D10 was Shape - for some this is an odd shape but for me it fit in the pocket slightly easier than the D10 so no complaints
Other Thoughts: Comparing the D10 and D20: I've owned the Powershot D10 for years and loved it, so after reading reviews I tried the D20. The LCD is nicer and the video is 1080p - these are great upgrades. I don't care about GPS and some of the other new features. Sadly a couple of the problems with the D10 are still there, but for a rugged underwater camera in 2012 this does a fine job at a lot of tasks - just not low light or action shots. Note there is no power cord in this box, unlike the D10 which came with that. Also note that the power cord, battery, and battery charger for the D10 will work just fine with the D20! So if you have both cameras they'll be interchangeable. I've taken the D20 on land and underwater shooting many videos and photos, so I can confidently say it's a great camera. Still some flaws, but the gains over the D10 are considerable and the setbacks - though annoying - are not inhibiting the camera from doing it's job. Highly recommended if you loved the D10!

Rating: 5/5Excellent for this class of camera
Pros: * Excellent full HD video including the ability to zoom while filming * Very durable and fully waterproof * Fairly fast shooting * Excellent exposure * Great image quality for cameras in this class (rugged or underwater camera) * 5x optical zoom
Cons: * Limited manual controls
Other Thoughts: I was planning to get an underwater housing for my Canon S95 when happened on a GREAT deal on the Canon D20. This will not rival cameras like the S95, but for a camera that you can use in challenging conditions - kayaking, surfing, fishing, skiing, biking, etc. - without worrying about it getting knocked around or ruined by the elements, I don't think you can do any better in this price range. I've taken some stunning shots and videos with this camera. It is a GREAT compliment to my Canon S95 and T1i DSLR, and I am VERY happy with it.
