Excellent camera with a few drawbacks
- Pros: This camera is an excellent point and shoot camera that takes incredible pictures with adequate light. Video quality is also excellent with plenty of light. Screen is huge and looks great with the resolution provided. Build quality is very solid and can take a slight beating and still perform top notch. Make sure to update your firmware to enable zooming while shooting videos. Wide angle is a great feature, and the 10x zoom is awesome.
- Cons: Audio quality for recorded videos is absolutely atrocious if sound is more than 2 feet away. In low light situations picture quality takes a serious beating, and video quality is constantly out of focus. Intelligent Auto does not work in most situations, unless you are out in direct sunlight or inside with very bright fluorescent lighting.
- Other Thoughts: I would have given this camera 4 or even 5 stars if it was usable for more than simple pictures and videos in very high light situations with no sound

- Pros: Great overall camera. Hard durable casing, compact, and great zoom. My wife loves it. When she is happy the family is happy!

Introduction
The Lumix DMC-TZ5S from Panasonic packs the features of a larger camera into your pocket. The 9.0 megapixel sensor is fronted by a 10X optical zoom Leica lens set for superb image quality. Optical Image Stabilization keeps the picture steady even when your hands aren't. You can see it all in the 3.0" rear LCD that automatically adjusts its brightness depending on ambient light levels.
