5 out of 5 eggsGreat Camera for $ Can't be beat...

Pros: Huge 24x optical zoom and Sharp lens quality. Great program controls plus color accuracy with processor. High MPixels. Manual and artistic effects controls. HD video and Stereo sound. Has recessed threads on lens permitting filter use. Batterypack holds charge very well. Image.Stabilized works quite well.

Cons: Sound recording could be better.
An included micro HDMI cable would have been nice.
The "free" case was half the size needed for the camera, LOL.

Other Thoughts: Replaced my Cxxxn S1 that died. This Camera is better and cost half as much than the Cxxxn I bought 4+ years ago.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome camera for non-professionals

Pros: Picture quality, speed, options, zoom...almost everything about the camera. And Newegg itself, which is always great.

Cons: Only JPG output, auto settings in low light*, came with a weird bundle that included a case that wasn't even close to being big enough.

*The intelligent auto settings it chooses for low light situations usually produce grainy pictures, but you can set it to program mode to always select ISO 100, and the shutter speed is usually still fast enough to avoid blurring.

Other Thoughts: Got this before Xmas under two hundred dollars, and my wife absolutely loves it because it's a huge improvement over our point-and-shoot. I was mainly considering DSLRs, but after some extensive research I went ahead with this one. The tradeoffs (much lower price vs the main cons) are well-worth it for someone like my wife who doesn't want to worry about lenses.

My wife has been singing the praises for her new camera, and I'll certainly look to these Panasonic superzooms for recommendations and gifts in the future.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent for the price

Pros: I am not by any stretch of imagination a pro when it comes to photography. Just wanted something lightweight, with good zoom and can take good pictures. I read in another site that this camera has one of the best color reproduction, although I cannot compare with anything I am very pleased with the pictures I have taken so far. Camera has a lot of features and for a novice like me, it took some figuring out the best settings given the situation. Once I got a hang of it, the results were excellent. I wasn't able to get it at the low black Friday deal since I was still thinking then if I should get the FZ-150. At $220 though, it's still a very good deal, considering some other sites were selling them $30-80 more.

Cons: If you want a simple point and shoot this may not be "it" for you.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper awesome camera for price!

Pros: Camera was on sale before Christmas for under $200 and it's by far and away the best camera you can find anywhere for the money. Incredible zoom, rechargeable battery pack that lasts quite a while and you can find additional batteries for the same price as a 4 pack of li-ion AA batteries.

Battery/SD card door is well designed and doesn't seem to have any little plastic tabs that would be prone to breaking. Even if it did the battery and SD card are held in separate from the door and each other allowing you to switch out SD cards without having pop out batteries.

1080p video with stereo sound that lets you use optical zoom while recording and even has an option to automatically cancel out what little zoom sound the motor makes. In other words it's rather quite without the feature on and virtually inaudible when it is on.

Just feels solid all around and you can tell the quality. Seems like this should be at least a five hundred dollar camera, if you need one this is a great cho

Cons: Has a 15, 30, and 60 second stary night mode that is really neat, however on the longer exposure times due to the rotation of the earth the stars have a slight streak to them especially when zoomed in.

Comparing it to other cameras in the price range I've tried out the flash isn't quite as good but still more than adequate for taking good pictures.

No help button, if you don't know what a setting does you have to consult the .pdf on the CD.

I'm just trying to get as detailed as possible, there really aren't any cons at all with this camera, just minor gripes, so don't let anything said here detract from it in any way.

Other Thoughts: There are TONS of different settings menus and picture modes to play with and it can be quite intimidating and will take a while to get adept at if you aren't used to this sort of thing.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Given as gift. They really enjoy it. Her last camera was stolen, I think she'll be more careful with this one.

Cons: Extra battery packs are expensive. Would almost always prefer AA's! But the camera was exactly what looking for so we settled.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Camera ! Best so far

Pros: $189, Black Friday Deal
24X Zoom
Amazing Clarity
Best Battery (I took 497 Pics, with a single charge, Additionally, i reviewed some PICS of them on Battery too)
Electronic View Finder (One Click change b/w EVF and LCD)
1028p HD Recording (Awesome Clarity)
Not a DSLR but can Compete any mid-range DSLR
Less Weight
The list goes on like forever...

Cons: Very few pics turned out be blurr..I heard there is an option called power OSI to reduce it, need to try that and see

Shipping was little late for my Excitement

Other Thoughts: Best point and shoot camera till date and Black Friday deal is a Steal. The free camera bag was way to small for this camera.
Don't Hesitate to buy if it's under $200, Even at $250 it's still a worth one.

1 out of 5 eggsImage Quality Suffers

Pros: Light weight and easy to handle.

Cons: Image Quality

Other Thoughts: As a dedicated Panasonic Camera fan I purchased 4 of these cameras based on my previous experience with 4 fine Panasonic Ultra-zooms Cameras (Fz30, FZ8, 18 & FZ35). But when I took comparison photos (literally hundreds) with the former FZ35 model, a camera with superb reviews, the FZ47 image quality was simply awful in comparison. Fine detail was severely lacking as the ISO climbed above 100. For me, all that matters is image quality, forget the rest, so I sold all four of the FZ47's I purchased for family members. I was very disappointed in this camera given my past experience with Panasonic Cameras.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT BUY

Pros: Easy to use, LOTS of options, GREAT pictures, ZOOM, and many more.

Cons: Came with a free bag that was too small. Not a big deal, I was planning on getting one anyways.

Other Thoughts: The wife uses it WAY more than I do and she LOVES it. It is not a DSLR, but it is really, really good still.
