Pros: Much higher throughput than the integrated NICs.

Also much more reliable at 100 and 1000 Gb/sec speeds.

No driver issues.

Cons: only that I need to buy these since the integrated realtek 8111(a,b,c) are consistently failing on me when used at higher speeds.

WRONG! The link speed may be the same but the bandwidth on a PCIe slot is 2.5Gb/s vs ~132Mb/s on a 33MHz 32 bit slot and that is if the card is hitting the CPU with constant interrupts which normally causes NIC driver problems.

Pros: Works exactly as advertised. After installing the adapter and plugging in the cables, Windows 7 found and installed the necessary drivers, and it has worked all day every day since it was dropped off at my house

Pros: It simply works, Install windows 7 x64 and this NIC works right off the bat. Install any version of Linux and it works too!

Other Thoughts: Now that I am 90% Linux, Finding the hardware that works natively 100% is important. Its nice to see not all manufactures are anti-Linux :)

Pros: It works well windows7 pro 64x updated it's own drivers

Cons: I could have gotten the same one For 28.96 bulk but no big deal

Other Thoughts: I got this card because the network on my x79 Sabertooth was problematic it got rid of all the hiccups and bad negotiations and error pages on different website I cant understand why that was going on.

Pros: It's a fast, reliable NIC compatible with Windows, Ubuntu, Fedora, FreeBSD, and probably other operating systems.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: It's been used in several computers, and was the only surviving part after a power surge in it's second install, and is still going strong nearly 3 years later, normal use is 100-115 MB/s for 8-12 hours a day, 6 days a week. it's been in service since 9/14/2010.

Pros: Great NIC. Fast! Easy to install. Great price.

Other Thoughts: This card replaced the onboard Realtek LAN Controller on my Gigabyte which became unreliable and very slow. Tried a Rosewell NIC which did not do much better. The Intel card gives me better throughput and faster speed, very happy!.

Pros: In this price range, this is one of the industry standard Gigabit cards. Easy installation, great support and the best plain English driver options I've seen for any device. Getting fast 90-105 MB/sec transfers on everything I've tried across our network.

Cons: Same card available in bulk packaging (this one didn't exactly come in a shiny Intel box) with product number EXPI9301CTBLK for $5 less here on Newegg. This one has the word Gigabit in Newegg's title, so the other one didn't show up in a quick search for Intel Gigabit Adapter.

Other Thoughts: This is a very worthwhile upgrade over a motherboard's onboard LAN adapter. Most people buying this card would be fine with the bulk version and save $5.

Pros: Very affordable network interface cards and very reliable. I have used several of these devices in several labs, more recently two in a router build and one in a vSphere 5.1 server build.

Cons: None.

Pros: Works out of the box. I plugged it into my pcie x1 slot and worked right away. My ethernet speed was already fast 32mbs download speed. This pushed it to 39mbs. Very fast and something that every gamer should have.

Cons: Downloading drivers was a bit extensive. Cd did not work. No biggie.

Other Thoughts: This is Pcie x1. It will not fit in regular pci slots. They do however work in any pcie slot even if it is longer than the card. Also every time I click rush processing Newegg does not do things faster. Kind of frustrating. Not intels fault though.

Pros: My throughput has increased ~10% over my previous Rosewill PCI NIC which was already a drastic improvement over my integration Ethernet adapter.

Cons: None at all.

Other Thoughts: Intel also provides drivers for this device on Novell ODI, DOS, Linux, FreeBSD, and Netware operating systems.
