1 out of 5 eggsCan't get everything to work at once.

Pros: Great price. Good reviews. Fast shipping.

Cons: Not recognizing all connections. I've set this up to distribute my internet from my Motorola Cable modem (which only has the one port). I've got one desktop wired straight in. One router which connects a desktop, PS3 and wireless devices. And one cable going to my Sony Bravia. When I first fired it up, I had no connection to the tv. After rebooting the cable modem, the lone desktop had no connection. A third reboot and my wireless router was not connected. I tried rebooting the switch and still had the random connectivity. No matter what I've tried, I cannot get all to work.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear valued customer,

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. To successfully distribute internet from your Motorola cable modem, the suggested configuration is to wire the internet port of router directly to the modem port and wire TE100-S5 to one of LAN ports of router. So, all your desktop, PS3, and ip-based TV can wire to the switch, and wireless clients can connect to the router. If it still doesn't help please contact us at sales@trendnet.com, reference "New Egg TE100-S5 Product Review" and someone will contact you immediately to resolve your issue. We look forward to working with you directly and restoring your faith in TRENDnet products.

Warmest regards,

TRENDnet Sales Team

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Bang for the Buck!

Pros: Fast delivery! Plug & play right out of the box! Just plug in the ac, the cable from the modem or router & extensions. No drivers, setup or anything! Works great!

Cons: It is a 4-port switch -- NOT a 5-port switch. 1 of the connectors is taken by the input cable from the router. Not worth deducting a star.

Other Thoughts: I am amazed by how easy it is to set up & how well it works as well as its low price! I paid $10 delivered. Thanks Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I needed

Pros: -Better than my other one
-Easy to install, didn't even need the setup guide (who would anyways?)

Cons: None yet..

Other Thoughts: This is definitely better than my old Netgear switch, running at 10Mbps. This has 10x the speed, and it shows. I can easily run my Minecraft, Team Fortress 2, and Garrys Mod servers, without completely killing my network switch.

5 out of 5 eggsRE:DOA review left Trendnet replaced

Pros: Let's start with customer service from Trendnet..Top notch comes to mind. My original 1 egg review of this item being DOA got an immediate response from Trendnet. I was expecting to have to ship this back and then wait for a replacement. To my surprise after letting them know what was wrong with it they said they would ship me another with no need to return the faulty one. In this day and age of every dollar counting I can say this is certainly going above and beyond for your customers. They have me as a customer for life because they do something you just don't see much of anymore, they stand behind their product. My thanks to Rodney F. for taking the time at Trendnet to make me a satisfied customer.

Cons: None..works perfect.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA..not worth returning

Pros: None

Cons: It didn't work right out of the box. It even says in the manual that with the Auto Mdix ports you can use any port as an uplink. NOT true..only port 5 worked and was not marked or divided from other ports. It then worked for about 30 seconds and stopped and would do that over and over again. Not worth paying return shipping to have it replaced. JUNK

5 out of 5 eggs3 Years, still works

Pros: I've owned this product 3 years and it still works. No complaints here. Has convenient holes in the back so you can screw/nail it to the wall or desk so it can't move.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsEXCELLENT PRODUCT

Pros: Simple to use and it works so far without an issue. Mine is the blue one otherwise the same thing. Plug this thing in and your off immediately.

Cons: Non so far!

Other Thoughts: I already have a gigabit router and a gigabit Trendnet Switch. However, I wanted to plug my printer in the laundry-room and work on computers in the Living-room from time to time without having to plug and unplug the printer. Also, I did not want to drill a second hole or enlarge the current hole on the wall to pass a second RJ45 cable. This is where this little Switch comes into play. It works perfect for my simple needs (no Gigabit needed for occasional use), it's small plus cheap. I was able to get it for just under seven Buckaroos, free shipping and new. If it last and works as reliable as my other Trendnet network equipment I'll be extremely happy.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: While this isn't comparable to a higher end switch by any means, for the money you can't beat it. Just plug it in and go!

Cons: It won't make you breakfast.

Great Switch

4 out of 5 eggs
This is a great switch! And who can complain for the low price? Does everything it says it will, no problems.

Can't beat it for the price

5 out of 5 eggs
Small; perfect for home networks that are running out of wired ports, which is getting easier to do all the time.
