4 out of 5 eggsA little disappointed

Pros: Price is great - even lower than the older model TEGS80G. Metal housing, stays cool, works like a charm.

Cons: They removed a lot of extras - even something I didn't thing should have been cut. There are no port indicator lights for speed. The previous models all have visual indicators of port speed. That help one immediately determine if a slower, older cable is plugeed in or if the device is not gigabit compliant. On this model, there is only a single green light that goes on when the cable is connected and flickers to show data transfer - no indication of link speed. I find that terribly disappointing.

Other Thoughts: Price cutting should really only go that deep, and not to the point where a few LEDS (and associated circuitry?) are omitted.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good Switch

Pros: Metal housing, no fan, cables plug in back and indicators are on the front.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I own many of these switches, including some derivatives from the same manufacturer. Never had a problem with any of them. Always wait for them to go on sale before I purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Switch

Pros: I now have several of these in service. One has been running for over 4 years now. They work as advertised, are inexpensive and allegedly consume less power. I like that they have a metal housing too.

Cons: None for me.

5 out of 5 eggsNice switch

Pros: -Worked right-away without any issues.
-No conflicts with new AT&T Uverse Arris modem
-Good quality (metal construction)
-Downloads seem to be slightly faster
-4 rubber feet
-Lights in the front that show activity
-Affordable

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Along with replacing my existing TRENDnet 8 port switch model # TE100-S8, I replaced all my cat5/5e patch cords with cat 7 red patch cords. I feel that it was a wise investment for the long haul because an AT&T Uverse technician came out to fix some problems we were having with the dvr unit. He told us one of the problems was the patch cord going from the modem to the dvr unit. So, he installed a new cat 6 or cat 7 patch cord.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible!

Pros: Super fast, metal housing, plug and play, price

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: Improved my LAN instantly int the zone of my house I put it in. DLNA devices work 100 times better, my PC is enjoying the extra muscle as well. No more bottleneck, limited by up/downstream from modem. Love it!
