Other Thoughts: I found that on mine I could not insert the usb part fully into the port or I would receive static and constant cut outs. I am not sure if this is a fault of the device itself or my USB port, but seeing as this is an old HP I use at my job possibly it is the port. Get the 8.0 Atheros drivers and manually update and you will have better luck. Also, try not shoving the receiver fully into the USB port, it seems to cause all sorts of issues (possibly the usb connecter on the dongle is made improperly so fully inserting it does not link up right). Otherwise, my Spotify is coming through in full stereo with no issues and with good quality.

Pros: Works with Linux and Windows x86.

Cons: Would not work with Windows x64 (Vista, 7).

Other Thoughts: I tried this on several Win x64 computers and each time it caused a BSOD and would not work afterwards. I was going to get a replacement until I read the comments where others stated that it does not work with Windows x64.

I tested it on Linux and Windows x86 and it worked properly.

However for Windows x64 it does not work even with the latest drivers from the Asus website.

Pros: I use this adapter with my HTPC and bluetooth headphones. I used this on a fresh install of Win7 and had no problems. I think it may be related to what chipset and motherboard you are using.

Cons: I was one of the lucky ones that had no problems on the install.

Pros: I love how the personal area networks have been integrating lately. With this little (and losable) adapter, you can have your bluetooth headphones going, and never miss a beat. If you're in need of bluetooth for whatever reason, this will do the job (and for a decent price)!

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I have had good luck with ASUS products, and hope they continue their trend of positive product quality. I would definitely buy again.

Pros: Small, Cheap

Cons: I tried to use the driver disk provided but the program would freeze when I tried to load it. When to there site and downloaded the drivers. Device still didn't work. Pulled it out and my system blue screened.

Other Thoughts: I gave up, it was not worth it to me and just gave it to a friend who was running xp. It worked fine on that machine. I am running 7 ult 64.

Pros: small, works great with motionjoy software

Cons: none atm

Pros: RMAing was easy. Had to pay restocking fee though.

Cons: Not capable of transmitting stereo sound! Tried all the possible drivers I could find. From the Asus and Atheros website. My headsets- Kinivo BTH220 & Jaybirds. Win 7 64 HP, Win 8 Pro. No success.
Hiccups.
Obsolete drivers.
The range is pathetic.

Other Thoughts: I compare this dongle to a Chinese noname one. You know what? The noname dongle is better in so many ways- cheaper, radio range is much better, no driver issues, no hiccup problem.
Expected more from asus

Pros: Small, fast shipping, compatible with a variety of software and hardware

Cons: On disc drivers do not work, drivers must be acquired from Asus's website, the BT211 does not function with backwards compatible USB 3.0 ports, the drivers that are included both online and on disc or terrible, terrible, self signed drivers that barely function. Easily lost.

Other Thoughts: Get a different one. Seriously.

Pros: Cheap and small adapter

Cons: Mini CD with drivers doesn't work in a slot load laptop. Lame idea. Moved to a flash drive on my PC first. Drivers seem a bit heavy, but works as expected.
