2 out of 5 eggswork okay until broke

Pros: cheap

Cons: this usb dongle is badly engineer, there is a transistor too near the usb connection so when you plug it fully it may broke so be carefull to not push it all the way in.

Other Thoughts: Mine broke after around the 10th insertion, but it can happen anytime you plug it fully in the usb connector

1 out of 5 eggsBad enough to make me write this

Pros: Worked sometimes. Seamless software integration with Windows 7. Recognized and successfully paired with my devices.

Cons: I usually never write reviews, but for this little gem, I've made an exception.

Randomly causes BSOD. Yeah, random--as in hard to troubleshoot, like faulty RAM. I'd be using the computer for a while and suddenly the computer hangs, goes to blue screen with a bunch fatal error messages, and hard-resets. What eventually gave it away was the fact that right before the blue screen I sometimes heard the "doo-duh" sound that Windows makes when a USB device is disconnected, and realized that it only happened when I was typing (BT keyboard).

Other Thoughts: My PC is perfectly stable and error free now--WITHOUT this piece of garbage plugged into it.

This it the third and final USB Bluetooth dongle I'll ever try.
If you want reliable bluetooth in Windows, buy a motherboard with bluetooth built in!

Cons: The software is horrible... I have never been able to use the device. Will not be buying asus peripherals in the future.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected

Pros: I have this BT dongle plugged into a Windows 8.1 64 bit desktop PC. I simply plugged it into one of the front USB ports and Windows found the drivers and installed them in less than a minute. I never use the supplied software that comes on the disk, I always let Windows find the appropriate software. I grabbed my LG smart phone turned on the BT, I clicked on the little BT icon located on the task bar of the desktop and it found my phone in a matter of seconds.

I use this only for transferring pictures to the PC from my phone and MP3 music files from my PC to the phone.

For the price (got it on sale dirt cheap) it does what I need it to do without hassles.

Cons: None that I can think of for my intended uses

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to install

Cons: It isn't the right bluetooth for ps3 controllers, which is the reason I bought it.

Other Thoughts: It was a waste of money for me, but I guess if you need bluetooth for something make sure it is the right type.

5 out of 5 eggsThis little guy rocks

Pros: Compatibility is the best I've had so far. Low profile but you wont break your fingers or the unit trying to remove it. Range is excellent. Asus stack has never skipped a beat with any device I've used. My kids have had tons of Wii remote and tablet streaming fun with this little dude.

Cons: People complaining about stuff that isn't the drivers or the devices fault. MotioninJoy is known malware. It is NOT a solution to use your PS controllers on your PC. Sony made it difficult and motioninjoy is NOT the answer. I suggest formatting and reinstalling your OS if you made the mistake of trusting that shady software.

It isn't the fault of the drivers, or the device either, if your Wii remotes have issues. That's all that needs to be said. Mine work fine, just disable the wiimote speaker. Need it? Buy a wii for 10 bucks.

Other Thoughts: People with these issues need to read more. Bluetooth 2.0in general is a fairly unreliable, buggy platform. The fact it can play music at somewhat decent quality surprises me. Don't blame the old dongles that brought BT to your computer.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Did everything that was expected

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: At first I was a little hesitant on buying this product due to some of its reviews, but after installing the drivers with windows 7 and hooking up some devices, it was everything I expected and more! Some reviews said the receiver would not work through a usb hub, plugged it into mine and worked just fine. A thing to note is that if you are using a collectable tardis or darth vador helmet usb hub, chances are it will not work, you probably need to get a good 2.0 usb hub that you might need to spend at least $20 on. A second thing to mention is that costumers said only one device can connect to a receiver at a time. This again is false. I was able to connect a blue tooth keyboard and a PS4 controller and both were working simultaneously. And about the drivers, used the CD and everything installed smoothly.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks but only just...

Pros: Cheap and tiny. Doesn't protrude from the side of my laptop much. Fairly easy to set up, I just nabbed the drivers off Asus's website directly rather than using the provided (not to mention outdated) driver CD.

Cons: Pretty unreliable for the most part. It works and hasn't died on me in the 1.5-2 years I've owned it, but in terms of connection, it is very hit or miss. Sometimes it will connect to my phone, sometimes it won't, sometimes it will drop the connection halfway through sending files. Transfer rates on the box says "Up to 3.0mbps", and I can honestly say right now that you will never see anything close to that, or even 1.0mbps to be frank. The rates vary from 20-200kbps and it fluctuates a LOT.

Other Thoughts: I have a Dell all-in-one PC that has built in bluetooth that transfer far better and much more stable than this thing. On my Dell I can achieve a stable 300-400kbps transfer rate. As said earlier, this thing fluctuates crazily between 20-200kbps. Can be frustrating at times when you're in a rush to transfer something without any other physical options, but hey for the price paid for this thing, I guess it's a small price to pay. At least it transfers...

5 out of 5 eggsPaired with PS3 Controller

Pros: Purchased to pair with a PS3 controller, took a little while to get the drivers working, but it works perfectly now in steam games.

Cons: -None

Other Thoughts: It works with PS3-dualshock controllers you just have to install the official drivers first.
