1 out of 5 eggsSTAY AWAY!

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter, 2.4GHz 450Mbps/5GHz 450Mbps, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: Easy Install

Cons: Constant disconnects
Horrible signal strength
tiny antennas
5ghz still doesn't work

Other Thoughts: I am using this 8 meters from my router base, on Windows 8.1. The card fails to stay connected for longer than 10 minutes. Constant disconnects. 5ghz is unavailable even after confirming twice that my router is set to 5ghz. As I'm writing this review, the wifi card has disconnected twice so far. I have tried everything from reinstalling drivers, replacing antennas, changing router channels, changing channel width, changing wifi card power settings, reinstalling drivers in windows 7 compatibility mode, changing driver versions, and the list goes on. Customer service has been no help at all. I have now purchased another card which is working fine. TP LINK, never again.

Just STAY AWAY! This is a horrible product with no support.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter, 2.4GHz 450Mbps/5GHz 450Mbps, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: Has worked excellently so far -- no trouble connecting to home WiFi after installing software on new build.

Cons: The three antennas seem a bit much and aren't super easy to coordinate with all the other cables and such coming out of the back of my case. However, this is a minor inconvenience.

2 out of 5 eggsWifi Signal

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter, 2.4GHz 450Mbps/5GHz 450Mbps, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: The signal quality was great to begin with at a decent price.

Cons: The signal quality has decreased with time, and has continued to the point that I can no longer play games without great lag and disruption. Ping tests had 0% packet loss to begin with and at the moment is up to 10% to 15%

Other Thoughts: The signal quality if it had continued would have been great.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Quality

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter, 2.4GHz 450Mbps/5GHz 450Mbps, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: The card itself, as well as the antennas, are very high quality; great connection; and the card works great and is reliable.

Cons: Nothing to major really; the only thing is the card physically doesn't look to great. Coming out the back of your rig it looks perfectly fine since all you see are the antennas, but oh well. Not anything to major.

Pros: Blazing fast....compact size and Very, very dependable ...have purchased two units for different computers in the last year and they both ROCK

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: I wish there was something bad I could say but there isn't ....this card is about as perfect as it gets......ESPECIALLY for the price....WOW

5 out of 5 eggsLinux compatible

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter, 2.4GHz 450Mbps/5GHz 450Mbps, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: I was happily surprised that this card was linux compatible with no extra software needed. I get a good signal even with a metal framed desk but I plan in getting some remote antennas just because I want better signal.

Cons: Non

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter, 2.4GHz 450Mbps/5GHz 450Mbps, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: - Fast!
- Reliable

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The 5Ghz 450mbs make it seem like you're using wired connection instead of wireless. In gaming, I only noticed 5-10 ping difference between the two.
