5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Plug and play in hackintosh.

Cons: Speed is not at maximum available.

Other Thoughts: Bought this as it was recommended for a hackintosh build. Was totally plug and play and recognized as Airport extreme card in OSX. Can't get above 50 Mbps down over internet, even though I have 75/75 connection and my other computers hit that. However, I am not convinced that this is the fault of this adapter. Recommended.

4 out of 5 eggslow range

Pros: Very easy to install. Fits right next to my R9 290 which is a large graphics card.

works great after I moved the computer closer to the router (see below)

Cons: VERY picky about range and antenna placement. I was having very poor reception, a 7g file would take a day to download. After trying every driver available for my mobo and the TL-WDN4800 if figured out I was 10 feet too far away from the router, yes, ten feet. I'm upstairs in a three bedroom two story house and the router is down stars (maybe 30' away). Same 7g takes twenty minutes to download now after moving my computer and my desk ten feet. If you're going to be separated from the router by any distance, look elsewhere.

1 out of 5 eggsI Thought Mine Would Be Different..

Pros: Worked somewhat well for about a month.

Cons: I read a decent amount of reviews before finally deciding on this WiFi card, it had enough ratings and a majority of then were good. I saw that a few people said that their card stopped working well at all after about a month. The mistake was thinking that it was just a fluke and that somehow mine would work as advertised. The ping spikes are very frequent and I'm actually surprised I got this page to load at all to even write the review.

Other Thoughts: Don't waste $40 on this.

5 out of 5 eggsFlawless on W8.1

Pros: -PCI-e x4, avoids the issues W8/8.1 has with USB
-immediately started working when inserted. Drivers hadn't even been installed yet
-Non-invasive W8.1 driver, small driver package

Cons: -The range doesn't seem as good as my RNX-N250UBE, but that's likely because the antennae are about 1/3 of the size.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to replace a failing USB wireless adapter (caused in part by poor W8.1 support by rosewill.) Plugged it in and bam - hadn't even removed the old Rosewill drivers yet. Uninstalled those, went to the site, downloaded the new ones, isntalled, rebooted. The current 7/8/8.1 driver is only 20MB and doesn't add an icon to the taskbar or anything. Definitely happy with it so far, will update the review if I start having dropouts/lag like I did with my Rosewill.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Happy

Pros: -affordable
-arrived quickly
-dosent have a problem seeing signal
-comes with drivers on cd and was super easy to install
-3 antennas
-dual band (future proof)

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: Old wifi card died. It wasn't dual band. Went to staples, best buy and wally world and none of them sell pci or pci express wifi adapters anymore.. only usb. I wanted a pci x one. Newegg shipped quickly. Happy

2 out of 5 eggsGood but no WoWLAN

Pros: It works okay and everything for your daily internet use, no complaints there.

Cons: I mistakenly though that most if not all network adapters would have Wake on LAN functionality. Sadly this one doesn't, if you are planning of using remote access, don't get this one.

1 out of 5 eggsUnbootable

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Makes my computer unable to boot when it's plugged in. The computer simply loops in the BIOS. Once I take it out the computer boots up easily.

Other Thoughts: Haven't tried swapping it out, maybe a replacement would work, but I have an external adapter now, so I'm not gonna bother trying.

5 out of 5 eggsWireless connection is now PERFECT.

Pros: I have a Comcast router downstairs in my basement.

I live in a 3 story town house.

I was starting to get fed up with the poor signal to my Wife's PC (she uses it for gaming (racing games like NFS Rivals and Youtube videos).

I installed an AP first, which just game me a lousy bar and half upstairs (AP was on the second level of the house).

A month later, I then replaced the old Wi-fi PCI-card (Single Band) in the computer and BOOM. PERFECT Signal. I have noticed only TWICE that the signal has dropped.

It went down from five bars, to four for maybe 5 minutes tops.

Cons: If you live in a 3-story like me with a similar setup, you many still need to have an AP located in the middle of the house to keep a beefy signal.

Other Thoughts: An example: When only the router was downstairs, NFS Rivals lagged constantly. I was irritated playing with her online (I'm hardwired downstairs so connection says solid) because she lagged all over the place.

Now, I have a competitor who never lags, and beats me in races:/
