5 out of 5 eggsGreat so far

Pros: Several I can think of off the top of my head:

-1.3MP Webcam is much better quality than the 0.3MP on some models.

-Keyboard keys have slight curve like a desktop keyboard. I'm a huge fan of that

-Touchpad is larger enough to be useful. I have a big problem with small touchpads. No such problem here.

-Battery life is about 7.5 hours on moderate to high performance. Impressive.

-Dual-core processor is also impressive.

-Got it on sale for a really good price.

-Windows XP is a relatively lean OS (especially compared to Win 7), so it doesn't bog down the 1 GB memory on the laptop. Thing runs smooth as...well, something really smooth. The RAM is also fairly cheap, so an upgrade to 2 GB is no big thing.

Cons: -The outside cover of the screen is glossy, so fingerprints are an issue (I know, boo-hoo, right?).

-Lots of pre-installed Samsung software. It's especially annoying the first few times you boot the thing up, when it badgers you to back-up your system, tutorials, etc. It's basically useless; get rid of it immediately.

5 out of 5 eggsDitto

Pros: I can't say anything not already said. Darn nice machine that feels like it will last a long while. Solid case, great keyboard and crisp display. Definately made the best choice at great price. First Atom I have owned and was very surprised at how well and fast this runs with only 1 gig memory still. Buy and you will be very happy

Cons: Now my son is claiming he needs one for school!

Other Thoughts: I have wanted to buy a netbook for a while. My wife saw one the other day and asked if it would do what the desktop does. She thought it was pretty neet and said she wouldnt mind one. 3 days later she got her new Samsung. BTW I have all Samsung phones from newegg as well. They make a solid nice product.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Netbook

Pros: Good build, quality manufacturer, keyboard is a small adjustment from full size laptop, relatively easy set up and great battery life. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Cons: Came with NO pre-loaded office software, not even MS Works. Now that I've loaded Office I really don't care, though. Lid is fingerprint central, but otherwise I have no complaints. It was what I expected.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: It's a netbook, it does netbook things. However, I do like how sturdy the case feels and the quality of the keyboard and lcd.

Cons: Quite possibly the most annoying adhesive possible for the sticker left of the trackpad.
No *lock indicators so sometimes YOU DON'T IMMEDIATELY NOTICE
FN keys are barely supported in linux

5 out of 5 eggsSolid, fast and cheap

Pros: Replaced a 4-year-old HP laptop with this. The keyboard is surprisingly good -- I'm typing at full speed and I have large hands. The display is crisp and bright, the battery life is wonderful, and the overall responsiveness is excellent. Great wireless reception too, and the built-in Bluetooth is appreciated! Nice little touches, like velcro straps to bind up the power adapter cables.

I also very much appreciate that Samsung didn't load up a lot of junkware. I only needed to install the trial McAfee before starting my own software installations.

If your philosophy is to do the heavy lifting on your desktop PC but have something small and light and long-lived to go on the road with, this is a great choice. I don't have any regrets.

Cons: The built-in speakers are awful, and I could use an Enter key about 3mm wider. Also, the lid is glossy and already covered in fingerprints.

Other Thoughts: As always, Newegg's shipping speed and communication is just the best.

5 out of 5 eggsThumbs up

Pros: Solid, looks great, faster than my 15" Dual Core running Vista. Although the keyboard is small, I have no trouble typing on it.

Cons: You notice the 1GB RAM when you open several applications at once. I'll probably spring for the 2GB. The built in speakers are pretty bad. (But no worse than I expected.)

Other Thoughts: People have complained about the touchpad, but I haven't had any trouble with it. It works fine.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Happy

Pros: This laptop was a whole lot more then I expected. I recently ordered a similar Acer Aspire One model and the thing is nothing next to this machine. The internet is easily accessible and loads fast, the download speed matches my desktop. No junk pre-installed other then McAfee which I immediately removed. It's small, sleek, and runs quietly. Beautiful display. FAST DELIVERY. Ordered Saturday, here by Tuesday.

Cons: Didn't come with extra RAM, though I have had no need for it yet. I kind of wish it had come with Windows 7 but the XP that is installed seems to run very smoothly (much better then the Windows 7 running on the Acer Aspire One that I bought). Takes a half hour to an hour to set up the basic software and drivers but once it's all done the machine runs flawlessly. I'd give it 6 out of 5 stars even with the "cons" I listed.

Other Thoughts: If you're having second thoughts, don't! You wont find a better 'netbook' for your buck.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Netbook

Pros: The keyboard is what keeps me coming back to Samsung. None of the essential typing keys are moved/shrunk to a size or location that is hard to use. The only major movement is the location of the page up, page down, home and end keys. Those are put to the side and are actually quite easy to use.

The battery life is usually much longer than indicated. I have three of these netbooks in the field with customers in the sales industry and they report 6-8 hours consistently with 802.11g and bluetooth enabled and active.

An upgrade to 2 gigs of ram is recommended, but not needed unless you're doing a lot of multitasking between applications.

Cons: N270 processor, although arguably that is not a big deal depending on what you're using a netbook for.
