1 out of 5 eggsStupid LED light ruins it

Pros: Does atomize water into the air

Cons: Nowhere in the description or package or instructions does it say "includes pointless, super bright color changing LED light that can not be turned off." I bought this for my bedroom, where I like to sleep in the DARK, but the built in LED makes it unusable. There is literally no reason for the bright color changing LED light to be included besides someone in China thinking it would look cool.

Other Thoughts: If you have any intention of using this at night in a bedroom, don't bother. It does work as a humidifier, but you will be kept awake by the LED.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic tool

Pros: The IPS display is fantastic. Great responsiveness. The keyboard dock, while a little pricey is a terrific addon for this device. Turns it from a multi-tasking tablet, into essentially a netbook.

Cons: The TouchWiz UI can be glitchy at times and doesn't add much to the Tab. No standard usb/hdmi ports.

Other Thoughts: I've owned this tab since July and also have the 7" Galaxy Tab since November 2010. Makes life a lot easier. When I'm out the door for work, I slip both tabs and my keyboard dock into my bag. Easy as can be, and really helps me accomplish more throughout the day.

5 out of 5 eggsSamsung makes quality android devices

Pros: Overclockable to 1.504ghz stable.
Easily rooted
Integrates well with my cloud storage
Sexy device
Fun all around

Cons: No SD expansion, but this isn't that much if an issue with its ability to readily access and use cloud storage instead

Other Thoughts: This tablet is my fourth device from Samsung and they are all wonderful. I started with the Omnia 7 then got a galaxy s then the s ii and now the tablet. Its a great device... and is capable of playing wow via stream at a good 20 fps. Galaxy IIs Love. >.<

5 out of 5 eggsGreat alternative for those who don't drink the Kool-Aid...

Pros: Open, customizable, fantastic hardware, and it's an alternative to the closed-natured Apple products. Apple makes attractive, well designed products, but I am very much opposed to their business practices. This Tablet is just as high quality in terms of the build, and in many cases more capable than the iPad 2.

Cons: There is certainly an argument to be made for the number of apps available to Apple users. Everyday, that is becoming more irrelevant though, and what I install is not subject to rejection from the mothership.

Other Thoughts: Either way, competition is good. I am very glad someone is making a product like this, because I admire Apple's products (I had an iPhone 3G and work on a Mac Pro) but wish I could support something that is healthier for everyone, and competition definitely is that. Everyone can get what works best and inspire improvements.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat tablet

Pros: I've had it for 2 months. It has an excellent screen and it's super thin.

HD Youtube is glorious and has made my day when I stayed home sick.

I have to charge every 4 days or so with my light use patterns of morning/evening internet time and an additional 1h of video per day.

Netflix works but the current app only delivers SD quality video.

Cons: Charging cable is proprietary and too short to use while plugged in to the wall.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: Fast, thin, attractive. Holds a charge forever, feels good in the hand. Brilliant screen.

Cons: Accessories for it stink. The Samsung touchwiz UI update RUINS the unit in my opinion. I had alot of trouble even getting it to update and once I did boy was I sorry. I love the stock honeycomb Tron like UI. The Samsung update makes it look like a children's story book. I had to root mine just so i could roll the firmware back to the stock set.

Samsung proprietary connection is a real drag.

Other Thoughts: After the first week any desire I ever had for an iPad died.

1 out of 5 eggsFeezing constantly

Pros: It's not an iPad. Small, thin, good sound, nice screen.

Cons: Constant freezing. I RMA'ed the first one because of this, and the secod one is freezing more than the first one.

Other Thoughts: I really wanted to like this tab because I hate Apple, and the snobby user base. I have an Android phone, which I love. I've updated the FW, and it still freezes often. I thought it was maybe some of the apps I installed so I wiped it clean, and it still freezes. I was without my tab for almost 2 weeks when I RMA'ed the first one, and it looks like I will be without it again when I RMA the second one with hopefully Newegg. I would hate to have to RMA it with Samsung, and end up with a refurbished replacement. I want to support Samsung products, but not if they release products like this.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Other than the first one having a small battery issue, this tablet kicks some booty.
Smooth transitions, great multitasking, beautiful display, and great customization to fullfil ones needs.

Cons: other than the amount of apps available
No cons at all

Other Thoughts: you will love it

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a Tab!

Pros: Does what a tab is supposed to do, that is offer portability, be very light weight, and feel great to hold. I put my eBooks for college on here and now don't have a giant backpack like other students do. It's great for surfing the internet at random points as well. What really sold me is the battery life, getting about 8 hours of "hard" usage, which means it lasts over a week of normal usage for me.

Cons: The android OS (3.1) is a bit finicky at times. I've been having an issue where the whole tablet will lock up for 10-30 seconds. I've also been having issues with the browser closing for no apparent reason other than it errored out. I'm sure they will fix these issues, and if not I plan on flashing a custom rom to it anyways to improve performance.

Also, I hate the proprietary charger. The cable is short as hell so don't plan on charging and using at the same time. Also, you can't charge it while you are data synced to your computer. This is also stupid, as every other device out there that isn't a tablet nowadays can charge through a USB port. I know it's a marketing gimick, but seriously get with the times and just allow standard USB chargers to work.

Other Thoughts: IDK why people complain about "less apps than apple," as all the essentials are there and then some. It's the same app store as the phone so you know there is a great baseline already.

Also, the lack of expansion ports is kind of frustrating, but you don't need them. I'd rather have a light weight thin easy to hold tablet than an hdmi port (thats why I have a PS3 and a computer) or an SD port. The storage problem is remedied by the soon to be released AllShare app from Samsung that lets you stream media on your home network (and potentially over any internet connection if you set it up properly). You can also access the file system when connecting it to your computer (your PC will treat it as a modem).

5 out of 5 eggsThe best tablet hands down

Pros: -Can play flash which means can visit any website makes web surfing much more enjoyable
-Compact light weight can take it just about anywhere
-The best screen resolution of any tablet on the market even better than the Ipad
-Android OS is stable and open

Cons: -Android for tablets is still growing fewer apps
-Laptops are still faster and better productivity applications
-Some videos that aren't optimized for mobile devices are slow and choppy
-Processor could be faster

Other Thoughts: Got 2 of these. One for my mom and one for my wife. My wife said she didn't need it when I got it for her. Now she doesn't leave home without it. I have wifi tether on my phone so when we travel together it makes a great GPS and travel buddy. Kids love to read books and play games on it. I got it for my mom so she could learn how to use touch devices. I will eventually get her a smart phone, this is a great way to learn.
