Pros: Know what you are buying and what you are buying for and you will be very happy.

GREAT KEYBOARD. For this size laptop you need to be practical and get something that you can type on. Otherwise its just a toy, not like that's a bad thing...

GREAT CASE! Un-heard of design for the sub-notebook class. Awesome screen quality and resolution. The case is very strong, takes a lickin' and wont start clickin'... n3rd joke :-P

Cons: There is a heat issue on the bottom, but it stays on the bottom. There is very little heat transfer thru the keyboard or touch pad. Wish I could say the same for my EEEPC, that thing fries your fingers.

Screen has a high gloss look to it, I think it adds to the sexiness.

Mouse buttons in and odd layout, but easy to adapt to.

Battery life is sub par. I went to get another battery and found that a 6-cell was cheaper the the 3-cell that it comes with... kinda odd.

Other Thoughts: I got this for school and internet and it runs smooth.

I used vLite to create a custom slimmed down version of Vista Business. Cut the fat thus no vista areo. Ran into some driver issues, not un-common for laptops. I tossed in 2 gigs of ram (kinda needed for vista). Took sometime to get things up and running (slow processor).

Highly recommend for users looking for something to take notes on or surf the web on.

I love the design, Strong, Sharp, and Small.

Pros: If you know what you are expecting out of this machine and do what it is designed to do then you will be very happy with it.

Windows XP or other Linux distro (i.e. Ubuntu) is a must.

Pros: small and light, nice keyboard for the size of the unit. space saving mouse, battery, speaker placement. nice looking. above average battery life. linux preloaded. large HD. plenty of ports. quiet.

Cons: runs hot, very hot. does not come with recovery CD's. if the preloaded suse linux was my first linux OS, I would not be using linux. every couple days, the screen won't respond, but, after restarting, it works. HP support for linux is a con, but hp did send recovery disks in 2 days.

Other Thoughts: 3d graphics are enabled regardless of what the desktop effects GUI reports... you can shift click on enable 3d graphics, and 3D desktop effects will work. I got this computer for my girlfriend instead of the EEE because of the hard-drive space, and I thought suse would be more user friendly for her. I think the EEE is probably a better buy.
