5 out of 5 eggsNice device - New prices $99 & $149, if you can find one..

Pros: Smooth snappy device, awesome deal at the new prices.. Just ordered the 32Gb for one fourty nine online, probably the last one since all retailers are pulling them..

Cons: If you paid previous pricing, I'd utilize the 30 day return guarantee, or demand a refund of the difference from whatever retailer you bought it from.

Other Thoughts: Phenomenal, once in a lifetime deal at the new prices - who cares about apps or product support at those prices.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Device -- Too Bad HP is Dropping It

Pros: This is one great Tablet. The screen is sharp and vivid, and the touch sensor is light and responsive. I like the "Just Type" feature, and transferring files from PC to Tablet is a breeze. You can also get 50GB of storage from Box for free. Side by side with an iPad 2, this one feels snappier. HP Synergy allows you to sync files without even thinking about it. The browser is intuitive, and it displays HTML 5 and Flash content flawlessly.

Cons: Huge con to HP for deciding to drop it after only 6 weeks on the market. They never gave it a chance to take off, even though there was almost universal praise for the device. I'm hoping that someone will pick up support for WebOS devices so it will have some life in the future. This was for the wife, who is not tech savvy, and for her use, it's perfect, and she has no desire to return it (if you buy online, you can't anyway -- beware). I would not buy one for me, knowing that firmware, OS support and Apps will probably dry up. Still, it is an excellent tablet -- the best I've used.

Other Thoughts: Despite the fact that HP is discontinuing the device, I cannot take any eggs off. The tablet is worthy of 5 eggs.

Apple has so dominated the market that this thing probably never had a chance without massive back up from HP. They have just shown they are not interested in that, and will eventually divest their PC division too.

If someone jumps in and takes over WebOS device support and App development, I might consider snatching up another one. The price is bound to drop like a rock, and you'd wind up with a very nice tablet for a very low price. I'll wait and see.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst Tablet, Great Experience So Far

Pros: -Built-in applications are great, along with preware and other many free applications, add-ons and tweaks.
-Slick interface, switching between open applications and organizing them is great
-Customizable
-Love the email client
-Exhibition mode is cool
-Great notification system
-Skype works great

I love deleting emails and notifications with just a swipe

Cons: It seemed heavy when I first got it, but I don't notice it now

Other Thoughts: Reviews have said spotty performance, I've never seen this.
I've also never had issues with Skype, as long as I can keep my hands steady or place it on the stand it's clear and crisp.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome tablet!

Pros: - Slick, fast interface. I don't know how it was before the system upgrade since I upgraded it right when I got it, but this thing is very fast. Thinking of homebrewing it and overclocking it to make it even faster
- I have fallen in love with the cards. Makes multitasking a breeze
- Box.net free 50 GB of space. This is a great deal! Now I can access my data anywhere with the cloud.
- Looks great... my pictures and games that I play on here just look spectacular
- HP Synergy, pulls in all of my accounts. This is very convenient.
- Just type is awesome. When I got the thing I figured I wouldn't really care about it, but it is really nice as you can search for anything or anyone and it will pull up everything from your tablet relating to it, or you can hit google search.
- The onscreen keyboard has a number pad. Haven't had to switch to the symbols keyboard yet and probably never will.
- Developer friendly..currently don't have to pay for a developers license.

Cons: - Sometimes doesn't recognize my touch, but its infrequent and could be my own fault.
- I don't need a ton of apps, but I do need the big ones. There are a couple I would love to have, such as itunes. The music player that comes with it plays certain types but I don't think it plays itunes songs.

Other Thoughts: I was a little nervous buying this, it was kind of an impulse buy with the 100 dollar discount last weekend. I was planning on trading in my original ipad for it, and this touchpad has blown away all my expectations. I am definitely selling my ipad and going touchpad all the way.

5 out of 5 eggsIn love

Pros: 1. Really love the OS, webOS, which lets me view all the different things I am working on and Stacks webpages that I launch with the app that launched them (click a link in an email, stays together with your email, unless you want to move it). Just throw an app (card) off the screen when you are done. Everything is very integrated, can message in one thread from Gchat (multiple accounts, including Google Apps!) Skype, AIM, Yahoo, etc. Excellent email support.
2. Runs real flash! Means you can just view Amazn Instant, Hulu, YouTube movies, etc. No need to go find an app just to view a flash-based site.
3. Good quality apps seem to be arriving daily. Excellent FB app, good Twitter, google Reader apps, photo browsing apps (Pix), MLB, Multi-task within apps (Glimpse) lets you do up to three different things -twitter, reader, youtube, weather, notepad, calendar, etc.; podcatchers (Video Flood HD), and keep coming. Lots of games (Angry birds HD of course).

Cons: Not quite as fast as the iP*d 2, but you can overclock if you want. Still needs some apps, and the big missing thing is document editing, although that is arriving very soon. You can already edit Google docs online. It pulls docs in very well, all your accounts are in one spot, even multiple dropboxes can be fully accessed from within the docs app.

Other Thoughts: Really enjoy the device, I have kept up with my email much better since having it, makes an excellent quick response machine! I would really recommend checking this out before settling on the competition!
