Can you use a stylus with this tablet to enter data?

Yes, and it comes with one.  @ David A - the USB port is for CHARGING the keyboard - not using it.  So you can in fact plug in a USB mouse and use the keyboard at the same time OR use the included stand to have an additional USB port OR buy a USB hub and plug them both in OR use the touchscreen with your fingers.  There are options other than "only choice is a stylus or BT mouse"

I want to use this machine as an on-wall-mounted home music server to play music files located on my NAS, via USB class 2 audio to the USB input input of my DAC. But my DAC has no ability to charge via the USB (it provides no charging voltage) but I still need to keep the Iconia charged. If I use a powered USB hub to connect this Iconia to my DAC... Is there a USB cable available from Acer that will both charge the iconia AND pass the USB class 2 audio through the hub to my DAC (Integra stereo receiver)? So that the unit will charge all the time, but I can play audio any time without swapping USB cables?

Im a little confused.    It seems you are combining charging and usb in the same connector.

I use a DACMagic Plus with my Inonia USB Audio input.
The DACMagic is powered by the wall (120v) and so is the Iconia. The Iconia USB connects to the DACMagic.

How much does it weight and does it come with a keyboard?

Not sure on the weight, maybe 2 pounds. Also, It is not slim like most tablets; it almost a half inch thick. Yes, it comes with a cover/keyboard. The keyboard does not have a mousepad. So you either have to get used to the touchscreen or use a mouse, which it does not come with.

Can upgrade this tablet  from window 8 pro to window 8.1 free?

Yes.  You have to run windows update first, and once it has all the Windows 8 updates in place, you will have the option for the free Windows 8.1 update through the store app on the start screen.  Very easy installation.

I know that previously it came with a separate blue-tooth keyboard...my question is:  how do you use the keyboard that is part of the folding case/cover when the tablet is in the dock?

Just because the components are separate doesn't change the Bluetooth connectivity. I personally purchased a separate keyboard just because I don't use the case often enough. I prefer the dock. As to your question you can simply fold open the case and use the keyboard as normal if the Bluetooth is paired.

No, this device will not run Android apps. It is a tablet PC running Windows 8. If you want to run Android apps you should but an Android tablet. I recommend the Samsung Tab4.

Does this come with a docking station with ports to run monitors, keyboards, DVD-ROM drive, etc... Also will it run dual monitors?

The docking station has more USB ports. The tablet itself has a microHDMI out, so you can run more monitors. Assuming your dvd drive is USB, it will work nicely in the dock.

Yes. the tablet includes a keyboard/stand/cover.  the keyboard response is good - if you're used to a slightly smaller keyboard.  the case is a tight fit, but appears very sturdy - a little too sturdy since it's slightly difficult to press the power button when it is on.  the stand isn't really a stand, it holds the table in place on the keyboard.  Over all, I like it!

Do this device support ext hard disk drive? if i use one of the usb port to connect to camera and other usb port connect to ext hard drive, can copy or download to ext hard drive through this device?

I cannot answer your question, because I have used the Iconia so little. I dislike Windows 8 with a passion. It was produced solely to get people to spend money on downloads. I don't care what others think about it. It was created to limit what the user is able to do on their own, without downloads.   Bob H
