5 out of 5 eggsI can only smile

Pros: It works like is says, comes with free cloud storage and bluetooth kb. I was really impressed with the quality of the audio (until you put in in the folder case that comes with it). I do everything on this thing from remoting in to our servers at work to watching movies.
This crazy thing even does a decent job of playing games.

Cons: HDD size it really too small but with cheap thumb drives this is really easy to work around. I looked everywhere to find a 128GB
SSD in the mSATA config. they are really rare and hard to find one that is not crazy in price. If i had a 128GB SSD I think i would be done with my other computers for good!

Other Thoughts: this is really a dream device. it seems that they discontinued it shortly after I bought mine. and I had to wait for 4 months for them to get back in stock. got the alert, ordered that day, noticed they were out of stock the next day. if you see one new or used i suggest buying it. Best device i have seen in sixteen years of IT.

5 out of 5 eggsSICK!!!!

Pros: Don't even believe all the good things you hear about this slate... because it's better! Once you see it for the first time, you realize it's not the same thing you saw in the picture back there.

What you have in your hands is the real deal. What you have is El Grande. It is so impressively well-built, it is simply astonishing.

Small, light weight, fast and it is powerful. Comes loaded with Office 2010 pro trial or upgrade and don't forget to try One Note ~ and just get Sketchbook Pro 2011. It will do Photo shop and it boots up faster than any PC I know.

There's still lots of space left but of course, use a flash drive or SD card as an additional drive. If you're not running memory hungry programs, you can switch off virtual memory and use direct ram (to save rewrites on the drive). I did not have any out-of-memory issues so far.

Screen is Gorilla glass so it's well protected from scratches. Be brave.

Upgrades in 5 minutes.

Cons: Just can't keep enough of them in stock.

Have to watch Newegg every hour to see if any units are available for sale.

Other Thoughts: And remember, you don't have to use your finger all the time - use the included digitizer pen. There's even an onscreen cursor that shows you where the pen is pointing even before the pen makes contact.

If it's in stock - just BUY it before it gets sold out again. Lists elsewhere for hundreds to a thousand more.

5 out of 5 eggsep121

Pros: Best pen tablet I have used. Included keyboard and case are a nice addition.

Cons: Pen does not have secondary buttons(had to buy one that had them). Small hard drive space and low battery life.SD memory slot makes up for some of this. you can get a 32gb for $35

Other Thoughts: I am a professional artist and this makes for an awesome digital sketch pad. Also a great alternative to getting a cintiq, you get a laptop as well as pen enabled screen.

You can buy an after market pen with side buttons for about $10, also add an external hard drive and you will have all the memory you will ever need.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Niche Device!

Pros: As I'm sure you know by now if you've been doing your research on the EP121 it's a beast of a tablet.
Fast, can multitask, do everything you'd want to do on a notebook shy of running high end games, and best of all you can write/draw on it. This is an artists tablet.
The penabled touch screen (256 levels of pressure) was the deciding factor for me with the ASUS Slate and I was worried that it wouldn't be able to measure up to my Cintiq. The verdict, not bad!
As a cartoonist/animator this will inevitably increase the amount of portable color work I'm able to do. The drawing is accurate, but clean-up can be a bit of a hassle unless you download a third party utility to toggle hand recognition (Artrage and Sketchbook Pro detect hands and make random lines frequently with the way I hold my pencil)
Keyboard is great (Microsoft Bluetooth 6000), (wish it were rectangular so that it would fit into smaller cases, but I appreciate the ergonomic design)
Comes with well designed Folio case!

Cons: The power outlet seems oddly sensitive and fragile, just rotating the plug can sometimes cause it to break the connection.
A hard drive upgrade is necessary unless you're using this solely as a web browser. After installing just a few small applications within a week I'm out of space. (comes with 9GB of usable space)
Pen lacks secondary buttons, so if you want to dramatically speed up work flow you'll have to get another tablet PC pen from somewhere else.
Windows 7 on screen keyboard is sluggish at best, in general you will probably not be able to do things as quickly without using the included wireless keyboard
It's tough to open it up to upgrade RAM/SSD without the right tools, a credit card was able to do the trick, but you need to use a fair amount of gentle force.

Other Thoughts: If you're an artist, particularly a college student in graphic des., cartooning, animation, anything that requires line work and you don't have a computer or a tablet, then definitely consider this tablet, it's powerful enough to be both your main laptop and art machine, but be prepared for the hidden cost of a bigger hard drive, SD card and possibly flash drives for storage.
If you don't need this tablet specifically for the penabled Wacom screen, you will probably be paying the early adopter price for features you wont use. That being said this is an awesome machine that turns heads in a room of iPads when you bust out a painting or handwriting program.
With these specs its not really a tablet, it's a very portable laptop with a great touch screen and stylus that will satisfy your tablet appetite.

4 out of 5 eggsEP121

Pros: I been wanting a Tablet Pc for a while now, and the EP121 was the first table that had the power that I needed. I was tired of carrying around my bulky notebook, and this was a great replacement.

Its power full enough to do the things I need. I didn't buy it for a gaming rid, so I didn't expect to place games on it.

Cons: Better Battery life - I hoping that window 8, which is going to be a table OS will have better battery life.

Docking Station - I took this from tabletfeedback post. Like the Eepad transformer I recommend strongly Asus to release the next Eee slate with this docking station as an option; people would be able to buy it as a bundle or not. Having a docking keyboard would be nice, since the Bluetooth always loose connection.

Easier to replace the SSD Drive - With bigger hard drives coming out, if would be nice if it was a compartment that you could open to replace the hard drive without having to open up the hold unit.

Vide Card - Needs to have a more powerful video card. The Nvida ION would have been nice.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this one and replaced the 32GB hard drive with an 80GB hard drive. Waiting for the 128 to come down in price and will be replacing that one. I knew the 64GB was big enough that why I paid less, and bough the 32GB.

I also upgrade the memory.

1 out of 5 eggsASUS' Bad Support

Pros: Slate worked as expected.

Cons: I purchased my ASUS Slate 3 weeks ago. I did not test he keyboard right away. I began trying to sync the keyboard up 2 days ago without success. After some research, I contacted ASUS. Waiting 2 hours, I was told the keyboard was defective. I was also told there is no warranty for the keyboard because they did not manufacturer it. I pointed out it had ASUS on the front and was part of the purchase. He did not care and said they would not help. I was then transferred to a supervisor named Andrea who told me the same thing. They will not support the product even though it was part of the purchase. I asked to speak with his manager. He told me his manager's was Dwyane then promptly hung up on me. The tablet has worked but the support is horrible. I am considering my options as I do not want to be stuck with a tablet that may have an issue in the future and a company that does not support what they sell. Extremely disappointed!!! Buyer beware! ASUS doesnt support their customers.

5 out of 5 eggsf$%K ipad

Pros: units works flawlessly. video/audio encoding is very fast. plays full 20 gig 1080p dtshd mkv files perfectly.
running full versions of autocad, sketchup, sketchbook, photoshop with 0 issues.

Cons: NONE, JUST IDEAS TO MAKE AN APPLE KILLER. 1. ESATA 2. USE A MICRO HDMI=1 CABLE FOR PHONE/TABLET.3. USB 3.0. 4. 4 CORE PROCESSOR WHEN ON PLUG/2 ON BATT. 5. START RECESSING THE POWER CORD!!!

Other Thoughts: people learn to use your computers before u write a negative on here. the keyboard needs to removed from the bluetooth device menu, then reinstalled. annoying yes but its a bluetooth issue not asus.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Tablet, Bad Keyboard

Pros: The Tablet is great, after all, it is the World's most powerful tablet.

Cons: The Bluetooth keyboard would not turn on after just a week of ownership, and use of maybe 1 hour total. Asus does not waranty the keyboard, so I had to ship the whole system back to Newegg.com for replacement.

Other Thoughts: Newegg.com treated me great with this product and the ensuing aftermath. I'm still waiting for my new tablet and keyboard, but it's typical for a RMA.

4 out of 5 eggsAsus ep121 tablet

Pros: Excellent tablet, full operating system nothing strip down, pretty sturdy, touch screen pretty active & easy to use. The i5 processor keeps it steady. Gets loads of work done. Would definite recommend for office & light entertainment. The system rocks!

Cons: Not enough battery life limited to 3 hours, which is a bummer because it's so easy to use and fun. Which the graphics were a little more energized.

Other Thoughts: Bottom line I know they wasn't aiming for the ipad type market but if they improved the graphics, and battery life this would definitely be on top of the tablet must have because it's so easy to use for those who love windows!
