5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: -All expected 17"-class features: Full keyboard w/10-key, etc.
-Good fit and finish.
-Solid feel.
-Reasonable weight for its size.
-Minimal bloatware, which can be removed easily.
-Powerful enough for all routine productivity tasks and light/casual gaming.

Cons: None, for the price.

Other Thoughts: This laptop can't compete with the performance of $1,000+ 'Desktop Replacement' or 'Gaming' laptops, but for just over half the price it shouldn't be expected to.

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING Laptop!!!

Pros: So I've been using it about five days now, throwing everything I've got at it to try and find it's limits. I haven't yet. This thing is an A+ in all areas. The battery life is AMAZING; screen is crisp and clear; keyboard is extremely comfortable; hardware speed amazing. I don't think I've ever owned a more solid piece of equipment.

It's also EXTREMELY light for a 17.3" laptop.

Cons: The bloatware, but aside from the initial hour or two of installing my programs and removing theirs it wasn't bad. Honestly, there wasn't even much bloat compared to what other manufacturers do.

Other Thoughts: AMAZING laptop!!!

5 out of 5 eggsSo far, so good!

Pros: This laptop has everything. It looks amazing, it isn't as heavy as most 17 inch laptops, and the bloatware on it is at a minimum. The I3 processor in here is pretty great too, multi-tasking has never been this quick. I don't plan on gaming much on it, but the graphics processor pumped out a 5.5 on it which blew my mind.

Cons: None really, so far...

Other Thoughts: I will add that I've owned this thing for less than 24 hours. I just wanted to get a review up here so I can add to it later, but mainly to warn people about something. It's not a HUGE deal, but bugged me. In the tracking section of the website there's a column labeled "Additional Details" (I think) that the delivery guy can add info to. Well in mine the guy added "Left with Woman." This is false, I was home when it was delivered and he didn't even knock on the door. He just tossed it in front of the door and bailed, which I know because I was looking out the window all evening waiting for it.

Again, not too important, but bothersome no less.

1 out of 5 eggsAnd there goes the sound...

Pros: Sounded fine while they lasted.

Cons: Speakers were kinda quiet as it was, but now I have to deal with crackling sound whenever I want to listen to anything.

It happened in the middle of watching stuff on Hulu. Started crackling out of the blue. Now it does it whenever.

I tried reinstalling drivers / updating, but to no avail.

Once again, I'm disappointed.

4 out of 5 eggsFirst impressions - Kinda dissappointed

Pros: - Disyplay's color is good. More on the display below.
- Keyboard is comparable to Apple's. It's really nice and springy.
- Comes with minimum bloat ware.
- Track pad is very smooth and easy to use.
- The laptop feels solid. I knew I was getting a strong piece of hardware when I bought it.

Cons: Just initially how I feel after using it for several hours:
- Display has pretty bad viewing angle. You have to move it into a precise location to get it to look somewhat decent.
- Backlight bleeds through everything. I bought Lenovo because I read the displays looked amazing. This is lackluster, and the backlighting is probably reason for most of the issues. Edges are very bright. This is by far the most disappointing thing about this purchase.

After all of the reviews I read on Lenovo and this line, I thought I was getting something amazing. I'm kinda sad, just off the quality of the display alone. Maybe you get what you pay for?

5 out of 5 eggsDarn Good

Pros: Beautiful Screen, nice resolution, nice keyboard, surprisingly limited bloatware compared to other laptops (only had to uninstall a few things).

The Chinese got this one right!

Cons: For this size laptop I would have expected additional internal space for a 2nd HD/SSD.

Other Thoughts: I immediately replaced the internal HD with a 64gb SSD after creating the restore disks (which rebuilt Windows on the SSD). Worked like a charm. This things screams through Win7-64 startup and login through the facial recognition is pretty darn snazzy.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid System

Pros: *Crisp LCD resolution
*Very loud and clear speakers
*Sturdy chassis/LCD hinges
*Great hardware for the price (especially the 17.3" LCD!)

Cons: *Seems that the factory install of Win7 runs a bit sluggish with all the bloatware (but this is obviously NOT due to the hardware specs)

Other Thoughts: I will need to reinstall Win7 and/or Ubuntu to be able to ascertain the true computing power.
