5 out of 5 eggsVery good laptop

Pros: Well built and sturdy
No keyboard flex
Windows 7 Pro
Very nice screen
Battery life is average and the Intel CPU and integrated graphics perform well.

Cons: The usual bloatware but somewhat less than I've seen from other manufacturers.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my wife and she uses it everyday and is quite happy with it.

I had to replace the screen last month after it was left on the bed one night and my son cracked the screen. It cost $65 for the screen online and I replaced it myself.

1 out of 5 eggsNot so good

Pros: Worked for four months.

Cons: Died after four months, won't power on. Looking around the web I read stories about bad configuration memory. Wife not happy. Not worth the hassle to get "fixed", trash canned it after removing the hd and memory - no more Lenovo for me.

Other Thoughts: Buy something else.

5 out of 5 eggsDurable, Fast, Sleek

Pros: After a solid month of tedious laptop searching (online and in stores), I came to the conclusion that this laptop is one of the best you can find right now in its price category. It has a large anti-glare screen, incredibly comfortable keyboard, well above average processing speed, and strong Lenovo support. I can't vouch for its ability to handle large processes, but it does everything the average user will need to do perfectly. It would be a waste of money to spend more than this on another computer to fulfill basic computing needs.

This model with these specs is cheaper here on Newegg than on the Lenovo website (I don't know why). i3 processor, which is perfectly fast. Battery lasts 3 to 5 hours, depending on what you use it for. The trackpad can be adjusted and customized with various tap functions. Decent speakers. Number pad.

I highly recommend this laptop.

Cons: The delete key, for some reason or another, is the same size as the keys surrounding it. Basically, this means you'll have to look for it every time you want to press it.

The battery feels loose. It isn't lose, and I've had no connection problems, but it doesn't fit perfectly. This hasn't affected my computing so I haven't done anything about it.

Other Thoughts: In a way, this is a lesser version of the Thinkpad T series, but it still offers all of the features and qualities that Thinkpads are known for.

5 out of 5 eggsWell designed Durable

Pros: Quite a nifty contraption I must say. Durable components, well designed, all internals are accessible via bottom cover, eraser type mouse, HD webcam, non glossy strong plastic with a metal frame, well designed cooling, Intel HD 3000 graphics light weight...

If you want a laptop that has a reputation of being durable and well designed this Edge lives up to such expectations!

Cons: Ad ware, Google crome, Utilities...
Just Format, re-install, and update.

Other Thoughts: This is no laptop for the average consumer, this is a Bussines class model, no frills no extended features, it's plain, simple and durable it's a laptop for grown ups.

Also I suggest to order an additional 4gb DDR 1333 module for Dual channel 8GB RAM. Stuff be cheap bro.

Also the dot on the "i" on the think pad logo ligths up! I found that to be a little uneccesary, but I see it has a bonus.

5 out of 5 eggsWell Made

Pros: Lenovo tends to make a more robust laptop. This was the deciding factor as this is for my wife and she is hard on a laptop. Light weight if that matters to you.

Cons: A fair bit of bloat ware

Other Thoughts: If this will hold together for 2 years I will be more than happy. It really is a nice laptop. It is fast. The HDD is 7200 rpm which does make a difference. I have been through Dell, Toshiba, HP, ASUS, and Lenovo. The Lenovo is the only one that last to obsolescence. All of the others had a none repairable hardware problem after 12 - 18 months.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Laptop

Pros: This laptop was exactly what I needed. Granted the only thing I do not like is the pointing stick. It makes some of the keys odd to use but after using the laptop for a few weeks you get used to the location. What I really like from an IT standpoint is the easy access to the HDD, Ram, and CD-Rom. It will make repairs easy and quick swaps from one to the other.

Cons: None
