2 out of 5 eggsNot good

Pros: Can't find any.

Cons: Just not a good laptop for its price range.
If ordered with Win 7, might not have a set of Win 7 recovery media, or the Win 7 key sticker, so no license if things go south.
License key seems to have been removed from the registry on the Win 7 build.
Preloaded image is mostly unusable. After the initial setup and even after a few boots, but with so much bloatware, it still feels extremely sluggish, like an OS with a few years of use.
Construction feels flimsy, unlike most Lenovo laptops.

Other Thoughts: The company i work for recently got a big batch of these, and while preparing the corporate image, i was very disappointed by how poor it's performance is with a fresh Win 7 install. Adding more RAM didn't help, the 5400 rpm hard drive is just not adequate, and i have my doubts about everything else hardware. If just feels like old parts inside a new shell.
To get any decent performance out of it, it needs an SSD, but in my opinion, it's not worth the investment. With a few years of experience dealing with Lenovo laptops (back from G40/G41 P4), it just feels like these were not made to last more then a couple years, and i doubt they'll survive the occasional drop intact.

3 out of 5 eggsUpdate to my review

Pros: Faster than my old computer. Keys. Easy setup. Relatively lightweight. Boots up quickly. Energy Star certified.

Cons: Black matte finish shows fingerprints like if you just used hand moisturizer. Touchpad sometimes has a mind of its own. Lenovo Solution Center is somewhat annoying - it usually indicates I have messages but when I go in to check them it shows there are 0 messages.

3 out of 5 eggsDon't like touchpad

Pros: Faster than my old laptop

Cons: touchpad, keyboard

Other Thoughts: Set up was easy. Connected to my WiFi easily. But I really dislike the keyboard and touchpad. The touchpad buttons are on top, most are under the touchpad and it will take me awhile to get used to it. It also isn't as sensitive as my old Dell so I struggle with getting the pointer where I want it. I may end up going with a mouse to avoid using the touchpad. The touchpad is also not centered - it is off the left I assume to help you avoid touching it when you type because the numeric keyboard takes space to the right. I didn't think of this - I thought I really wanted a numeric key pad but I find my fingers are off by a key because it is off set. Also I seem to have to push the NUMLOCK button every time after I reboot in order to use it. I probably would not buy it again and would choose a laptop without a numeric key pad if I did it over. I don't use it enough to warrant the hassle with the offset keyboard and touch pad.
