5 out of 5 eggsGreat Lenovo notebook

Pros: Well worth the money, easy set-up, and fast for basic computer needs.

Cons: Don't think much of windows 8, but it is what it is. There is a lack of free software that comes with this computer, so you will need to take the time and a little money to reset this computer up. Also could use a Mic jack for a two piece headset had to buy an adapter. Oh one more point buy external mouse you will need it, pad a little jumpy.

Other Thoughts: If your looking for a nice little unit this one fits the bill. There is one thing and this is for Newegg it was packaged very poorly for shipping, thank heaven it arrived in one piece.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Powerful, quiet, feels solid.
Keyboard has good feel.

Cons: The "K" key isn't balanced correctly, so it can be fully depressed without effect unless your finger is at the bottom of the key.

Other Thoughts: A common con is Windows 8, but I replaced it with Linux Mint right away.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: Very solidly constructed and aesthetically pleasing. Really like the look and feel of the keyboard and touch pad. (not too sensitive in my opinion as others have stated). Great specs for the money. Typical great service from Newegg.

Cons: As mentioned before fingerprints are a problem.

1 out of 5 eggsBad QC, useless customer service

Pros: Cheap, fast, quite.

Cons: poor quality, cheap look and feel. The screen failed after about 10 days. It looks like it buried. The laptop was in my home office since it arrived. I barely used it since I used my work laptop most of time. It was working fine until last night. This morning when I turned it on, the screen shows a big huge dead spot on the upper right corner. Rest of area shows black and white stripe lines. I am so shocked because I have not seen this before. The laptop is in perfect physical condition. It was not dropped or hit by anything. Not even a scratch on the it!!!!!
I called the customer service. After I told him what happened, he said there is 80 dollars charge to just evaluate. I told him that I did not damage the screen but he just keep saying the screen will not crack itself. Yes. The screen will not crack itself! However, there is NO crack on the screen. It is somehow buired inside after super light normal use. This is a defective product!!!!!!!! I had to ask new egg to replace the laptop since I threw out all the package. Will ship it back next week and update my review. First Lenovo product, probably will be my last one.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Laptop

Pros: This is a great laptop. I have had Lenovas over the years and will probably stick with them. This laptop is fast. Very light. The display is awesome and USB 3 is a huge plus for me on data transfers.

Cons: None at all.

Other Thoughts: I bought mine as a "open box" and saved some coin. My wive has a Asus with just about the same specs, although only 13" display. Shes jealous and wants mine!

I told her to keep her fancy Asus, this one is mine!

As far as the start menu in Windows 8, Google and get Classic Shell, it solves the whole problem. Better and faster than Windows 7

5 out of 5 eggsnice machine

Pros: Prime deal for an Intel I5 CPU. Function and speed are very satisfactory. No annoyances that would typically grab your attention right away. Very happy with purchase.

Cons: Fingerprints standout on case, although cleans up nice with a cotton swab wetted with isoprene. Not a big deal for me. KB takes some getting use to, due to key pad sizes and location.

Other Thoughts: Very happy with purchase. Spent a lot of time researching and ended up with this laptop. The reviews and CPU/$ value convinced me. Win8 is a migration to touch screen - likely why some folks are so frustrated when using a mouse with Win8. Need to use shortcut keys more to navigate faster. Some good youtube videos on Win8 help alot. My main machine runs linux. Eventually may dual boot this laptop with linux.

1 out of 5 eggsDoA

Pros: It was very well reviewed, so I was happy to get such a great deal.

Cons: It was dead on arrival. It will power on, but the motherboard must be fried. It doesn't even get a chance to boot into BIOS. Very disappointing and upon looking elsewhere online, this seems to be a not uncommon problem.

4 out of 5 eggsWindows 8

Pros: Fast and cheap. What more can I say?

Cons: Windows 8. My only complaint, it took me a long time to figure out how to downgrade from windows 8 to windows 7. Usually when you install windows 7, it automatically installs all your important drivers like graphics and your LAN driver, but this time it didn't. Why not? I assume it is because this laptop is built ONLY for Windows 8. Luckily for me there is a website that has all the drivers for Lenovo Laptops I was lucky to find and was able to install right away.
