1 out of 5 eggsAwful

Pros: Loved it while it worked.

Cons: Hard drive died within six months. Honestly if that were a fluke, I'd give this a decent review, because when it was working it was great. But Lenovo is a NIGHTMARE now with customers and warranties. I am out not just the cost, but shipping cost to get no new hard drive.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy lenovo

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy this garbage!

Pros: It looks sleek and modern.

Cons: Everything. I bought this and waited 3 days anxiously, and its life expectancy was a mere 3 hours (no kidding).
I turned it on and noticed it was very slow, and this despite having removed the Norton which was I was assuming it was making it this way. Well nothing happened when it came to the speed, so removing any bloatware will make no difference. I also noticed that the wifi bar gave a mere 2 signal bars when all of my other electronic items like tablet and extra laptop were giving full bars. Yes I know, I disabled them to see if I could get full bars on this Lenovo, to no avail as it still was giving me 2 bars and a very substandard connection which I had to physically connect an Ethernet cable. In any case the strange happened within 3 hours... A blue screen or prompt appear on the screen asking for a "recovery disk" and to boot it. I don't have one and Lenovo did not include one, nor did I do anything physically to this laptop to have render this bizarre message. In any case it ha been in this predicament of the screen since it appeared to me and so far has rendered this laptop useless. If anything, it was proven useless for those 3 hours where it was "working".

Other Thoughts: I contacted newegg and they do not do refunds for this garbage, only replacements for the 30 days it covers. Lucky for Lenovo and Newegg my printer is out of ink and I was given only 7 days to ship this garbage to them in sunny Whittier CA. Now I am stuck with this and I learned my lesson to not buy from Lenovo every again.
Even if I did end up with a lemon why was the manufacture date of early 2012 when it should of have been recent?
I should sue Lenovo for stress and anxiety because this marketing campaign they have for this particular "low end" laptop was a farce, and it turned out to be a rushed made component with no practical use.

3 out of 5 eggsNice looking

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: If you want it to look nice and clean you have to touch it with gloves, the material from which is made get the fingerprint extremely easily.

5 out of 5 eggsGood bang for the buck

Pros: Price.
Good quality physical build, case and keyboard.

Cons: Hardware isn't anything earth shattering, but fair for the price.
Lots of Lenovo bloatware.

Other Thoughts: I think the previous review is unfair to call it slow, while the hardware isn't very fast this laptop comes crippled with Lenovo's bloatware. Which in all fairness is the norm for laptop manufacturers.

When I first booted it up I noticed McAfee using 50% of the cpu. Once I scrubbed it of all completely unnecessary software it was a smooth running machine.

I bought this laptop for my mom for primarily use of internet, photos, documents, and skype. If you're looking for a cheap solution for that and have about an hour to uninstall about a dozen bloatware programs, this is the machine for you.

1 out of 5 eggsDo Not Buy

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: Slow processor; mouse freezes up often.

Other Thoughts: This laptop is so horribly slow that even simply browsing the internet is frustrating. In fact, the touchpad often becomes completely unresponsive for several seconds at a time while the laptop loads a web page or even while browsing the contents of your hard drive.

2 out of 5 eggsreal slow

Pros: Quick arrival
quality product

Cons: slowwwwww processor...
I was hoping that it would be mildly sufficient, however, doing more than about 3 things at once is near impossible at times.

Other Thoughts: Overall I am happy, but the processor needs to be changed out, I should have figured at 279 dollars. However, I didn't want to spend the money and this is what I get
