5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Most of things were good!
This is a gaming laptop, so I5 is good enough for game, don't have to wast money on I7 CPU.
750M-SLI is powerful for games !

Cons: I just want a win7 system with it. I had so much hard time with win8 system.

2 out of 5 eggsNot durable at all

Pros: extremely economical, most graphical power available in its price range. It was nice, while it lasted.

Cons: When people tell you this laptop feels cheap, they mean it.
It creaks disturbingly when picked up and screws rapidly loosen. Ive had it for nearly a year now, and the escape key has fallen off six times, one USB input has completely failed, the keyboard pops out of its socket, and now it refuses to boot up. DO NOT purchase if durability is of any concern to you at all.

1 out of 5 eggsDefective???

Pros: SLI and works... sometimes! Lighted keyboard, and the key presses are really responsive. My fingers can glide over them.

Cons: Windows 8! Errors everywhere, junk installs EVERYWHERE! I've had to restore twice already and it crashes around 2 hours of straight use. It's a gaming computer and I am working school assignments on it. Haven't dared try to play on it, it's just not happening. I have to go to my pc to finish anything, save constantly so I don't lose my work. It is a giant pain.

Other Thoughts: I don't know if I got the bad one of the batch but after seeing all the reviews it really seems like it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat laptop for the price

Pros: 1 Great aluminum case and sleek design
2. backlit keyboard and solid does not bounce while typing
3. Fast processor
4. sli gt750m's capable of playing many games.
5. 1tb of storage more than enough.
6. quiet fan for gaming laptop

Cons: I read a lot of reviews before buying this and I think a lot of peoples problems could have been solved by updating drivers. Out of box most if not all hardware drivers out of date. windows update did not get these you need to go to Lenovo site for it .

my only cons are
1. lack of external volume control
2. odd position of right shift key for me makes it hard to get used to capping letters when I use that shift key.

Other Thoughts: Overall these is the best value for $$$$ you can get. I did research for weeks before choosing this laptop. I looked at acer, msi, HP, and cyberbook. with all those brands I would give up features or power for same price I paid for this.

The week I got this I upgraded to windows 8.1 and went to Lenovo updated all drivers, and its running flawless. I have no issue with SLI , synaptics touch pad , or design.

I highly recommend this but defiantly update everything before you review it should get a lot of bugs out.

3 out of 5 eggsOverheats

Pros: Good performance, BF4, LoL, 1080 vids

Cons: Overheats. had gotten so bad to the point in which it crashes on games like League of legends from overheating,
Video cards patches bugged a couple times

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy Great Value Gamer

Pros: 1 Solid Build Brushed Aluminum
2 Backlit keyboard and quality of keyboard
3 Fast processor and Graphics cards
4 Amazing display bright looks good
5 Copper heatsinks and quite fans

I wanted a decent gaming laptop without breaking the bank or having overly large laptop. Very sleek design its simple yet sharp looking I didn't want shiny plastic and this isn't it

Cons: 1 No external volume control
2 Odd placement of right shift key oddly enough hardest thing to get used to if you type a lot.

Other Thoughts: Before buying this I read a lot of fellow newegg shoppers reviews. I suggest people go through upgrade all drivers before posting a review and going to windows 8.1.

I saw a lot of cons I think would be resolved if you go to the Lenovo site and update all drivers needing it. I know for a fact this model is outdated on most drivers. The automatic updates will not do this go to Lenovo for all needed drivers.

Personally I had no issue with sharp edges its the design looks good. I also had no issue from touch pad updated drivers was fine. I don't complain about battery life this has 2 gpu don't buy it if you want long battery life. I also didn't find heat as an issue but than I used older generation processors that ran hot just sitting there.

Honestly the biggest issues for me were smallest thing lack of volume control and that shift key in odd spot.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Laptop for games and life

Pros: When setup properly, breezes through many games with no problem at 1080p with the dual gtx 750m graphics chips set in SLI.

Cons: USB 3.0 ports are too close together, I mean WAY too close together. You must manually enable SLI mode to get the performance you are probably expecting. I haven't really tried the built in wifi because I bought a usb 3.0 ac stick. Unfortunately, the usb3 ports are so close together its not likely I can use both at once.

Other Thoughts: The keyboard has 3 brightness setting (Fn+space) dim, bright, and off. The USB thing is really a minor complaint considering how great this laptop is. I love it more than I have loved any laptop I ever owned.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good, but a little odd.

Pros: Good processor
1080p Screen
Dual 750m's capable of running games very well
Full Backlit Keyboard, including numpad, which has two levels of brightness
Speakers are pretty good for a laptop
2 USB 3.0 ports, and an always on USB 2
SD Card slot
Gigabit Ethernet

Cons: GPU underclocks a LOT LOT when you are running on battery power, which saves some battery power.
Weird issues with Explorer randomly freezing and restarting
Battery isn't too great, but that was expected
No media keys, just volume keys with the Fn modifier.

For some reason, my main graphics card is underclocking itself even while the charger is plugged in, randomly going up and down from 940mhz to 135mhz, which is pretty annoying while I'm trying to play games.

Other Thoughts: This is a very good gaming laptop for the price, I generally use it for World of Warcraft, or Skyrim/Oblivion and now Battlefield 4, all of which it runs pretty nicely at reasonably high settings. I haven't tried the Geforce Experience recommended settings because I'm overly paranoid about heating, since it's a laptop it doesn't have as much cooling power as my desktop did.
Running skyrim will get the cpu and gpu's running up to around 150F, with settings on high at 1080p.
The screen looks pretty nice, and is reasonably bright.
Ethernet is gigabit, but I'm usually just using Wi-Fi.
Windows 8 isn't a huge deal for me, since I have already gotten used to it on my old pc, it has it's pro's and cons but using Start8 I can ignore a couple of those cons.
I would definitely buy again.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome for Gaming

Pros: $$$Price$$$ Probably the best bang you can get for your buck right here.

i5 4200M, for 9 out of 10 Games this processor is as good or better than an i7 4700mq, but uses less power and produces less heat.

Dual GT 750M's running in SLI, so far I've ran Borderlands 2, Battlefield 3, and Rage all at max graphics, aside from one setting in Rage which was limited due to RAM.

Windows 8.1 - I'm a convert, hated Windows 8 until I discovered a program called Classic Shell (google it). Fixed MOST of the things I hated about Windows 8. Windows 8.1 actually is pretty good, it is much faster than previous versions.

Backlit Keyboard - This is a requirement as far as I'm concerned and usually you have to spend a whole lot more to get it on a laptop.

1TB HDD - Plenty of space and the Hybrid SSD is actually pretty good. By the way, mine shipped with 24gb for the SSD portion, not 8gb as listed.

JBL Speakers - The sound is incredible, I was really shocked at the sound coming out of this thing.

1080P Full HD - Again, usually have to spend a lot more to get 1080P.

Cons: ***HOT*** This thing gets cooking when you are gaming, I use an external cooler and recommend you do too.

6gb RAM - This is right on the edge of just enough. 8gb is really the number you want to shoot for. It's upgradable to 16gb and I chose this because I would prefer to just buy my own high end RAM.

Other Thoughts: I paid 869.99 flat, to my door, done deal. I don't think I could have gotten a better deal other than Black Friday when this was 849.99. If you can get the i7 8gb version for under 999.99 than do it, otherwise this is a better buy. I wanted the i5 simply for heat and battery life and it performs very well. But... the i7 with 4-cores is going to keep up with things as games and software progress.
