Does this keyboard Backlit ?

Yes it does. There are three light settings with the Lenovo: off (no backlight), low red light and high red light.

What kind of optical drive does this model have? The model on Lenovo's site has a blu ray optical drive, so i wasn't sure if Newegg's site had the model with the blu ray drive or not.

It...doesn't. Not really, anyway. They use an "UltraBay" or whatever in the place of where normally one would put an optical drive, the idea being that you can put other stuff there. In this case, that's where they throw the second video card. Technically you can remove that and put in an optical drive, though, albeit probably requiring an optical drive from lenovo designed for the ultrabay. I don't really know how it works too much.

Question 3

This model on Newegg doesn't seem to have a DVD optical drive, but has a Dual NVIDIA card.  On the Lenovo site, the same model number (59406648) does have a DVD optical drive, but only a single NVIDIA card.  Is it a trade-off?  A DVD drive or a second NVIDIA card?

It would be a trade-off in graphics I believe.  I did not realize that it did not have a DVD drive until after I purchased it.  I originally wanted an ASUS but ran into some problems.  Went with the Lenovo without realizing the DVD drive was not there.  The only trade-off would be burning CD's and DVD's.  I do not watch DVDs on my computer so it did not set me back much.  Also, there are always external DVD drives you can purchase if it really is a problem.  Although the USB connection will slow the processing down a little.  The extra graphic drive is easy to take out if you would like to replace the DVD drive yourself.

Question 4

When 8GB is selected on memory, the picture has the blue Intel logo in the right corner of the picture that reads Intel i5 processor inside, the description claims it contains and Intel i7 processor. Does the product contain an i7 processor or an i5 processor?

I just bought the  8GB version in April and it is the i7 processor. The only downside is that if you get that version with the dual video cards, you do not get an optical drive with the computer. Which was something I didn't realize. It's cheap enough to buy an external drive but it was still an added expense.

Also the laptop is definitely fast, performs well and worth the price for sure.

Does this laptop have an Optical Drive?

No. It comes with an extra gt755 for sli. It is swappable however if you want to buy a CD drive, you can swap one of the graphics cards out and put in the CD drive, but then you lose sli.

Can Windows 7 Be installed on it?

I have not tried.   I would look to see if drivers are offered for win7 and if so why not.   Only issue I see would be USB hub or chipset driver..   Video and sound been around awhile.

Love the laptop.  Fast enough for new games.   But battery life isn't the greatest.    A few things.   The bluetooth acts up and computer doesn't recognize the internal bluetooth adapter sometimes.   Takes 1 or 2 reboots before its not greyed out in the airplane mode settings switch.   I use a bluetooth mouse so its annoying.   Another thing is    unless the power is plugged in it will bog pretty bad on games.  I'm assuming that if the power isn't plugged in, it wont run the 2nd video card to conserve power.     If watching say Netflix.    You'll get about 2 movies done on 1 charge.    But all in all I love the computer.   I've recommended it to friends and would recomend it to anyone.  Can't beat the specs to price comparison.  Solid computer.     If I wanted a light weight ultrabook or touchscreen  I would have just used my tablet.   This is a powerful laptop.  Won't be disappointed.

does this model uncludes the sli? or is just a single gpu?

There are 2 graphics cards in an sli configuration. One is removable by way of the Ultrabay. Power saving modes that use the Intel HD4600 graphics onboard will not function with the second card in the ultra bay.

is this a problem to add some ssd and change system that is installed on hdd to ssd? advise

You can add an M.2 NGFF ssd as a boot drive and keep the current HDD. You are however limited to the 42mm size, which restricts the size of the SSD down to 128gb. Your other option is to replace the current HDD with an SSD and then reinstall everything. In either case you can downgrade to Windows 7, most drivers work just fine. You will have to download some drivers directly from intel (for the USB host controller to operate at USB 3.0 Speeds) You can look through various forums for additional help. This process is however relatively simple. Overall great laptop, with exceptional performance for value.

Question 10

so i am opting for this laptop with 16gb ram and GT 755 sli,
but i find that there is no option of ssd.
Does that mean i cant have ssd again or can i replace the 1tb hdd with Samsung Electronics 840 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Single Unit Version Internal Solid State Drive MZ-7TE250BW??
or any other ssd??

I thought there was a seperate ssd chip in this computer kind of what's found in some of the smaller netbooks a few years back. Turns out it's built in to the hdd. If you have experience with working on computers the hardrive is easily swapped out for a aftermarket 2.5 ssd just make sure you mount it in the cage well cause I saw a video and the ssd was slimmer then the hdd in the laptop so it could wiggle if screws aren't tightened. All in all this laptop has been amazing.
