Does model include the Back-lit keyboard and finger print reader?

Hi Anthony, I am writing back to tell you that the computer we received DOES have a backlit keyboard, but no fingerprint reader.
Sorry about the misleading answer earlier, we just figured out the backlighting.
Anyway, really pleased with the purchase.

I purchased 3 of these. They came with Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1. The only other preinstalled software was OpenOffice suite.

Question 4

In the image, I found sth. plumped up in the battery part. What's that? It lose the compactness of thinkpad T series. Could anyone tell me what is that?

The part sticking out of the back is extra battery. It has a 9 cell instead of the standard 6 for increased run time on battery. Mine has been running 6 hours or more on battery every day. You could replace the battery if that bothers you sticking out but your run time will decrease.

Title says T430s but the specifications show T430.

Is it the "s" or not?

No that appears to have been a mistake in the description.  The sent me a T430 not a T430s.  it had a 9 cell battery.   I complained and they sent me another T430 - the 2nd one with a 6 cell battery!   They were very courteous and have told me they would resolve the problem.  But I am not yet sure whether the resolution will end up in my getting a T430s or just a refund.  Despite all this - I am happy with their responsive customer service - if you have any more questions about it.

Does it have wireless connectivity? Do not all  laptops have that?

Yes, the T430 has an integrated wireless adapter.

I can not say "all" laptops have wireless networking, however >99% have wireless adapters.  Many of the smaller (e.g. ultrabooks) new laptops do not have wired adapters.

Question 7

What does "Microsoft Authorized Recertified" really mean? Can I expect this PC to be refurbished to a like new state as their advertising states.

I have ordered 3 of these computers.  They all were in very good condition. Case, keyboard, touchpad showed very little "wear".

I plan on purchasing additional T430s.

Question 8

NEWEGG, I've noticed that many of these ThinkPads do not specify the maximum screen resolution.  1600x900 was a preferred option for these laptops and it's extremely important for buyers.  So is this a 1600x900 model?  Please let us know!  Thanks.
