4 out of 5 eggsPretty Impressive Entry Level Tablet

Pros: Fairly quick for being a single core and only a cheap entry level tablet.
Graphics are pretty decent.

Cons: Touchscreen accuracy is a little of, probably by about 1/16 of an inch. So you have to touch 1/16" higher than where you actually want to touch. After having this in my hands for a few minutes, I don't even notice it anymore.
The screen gets dark quickly when tilting the screen, so if you are playing a game that requires you to tilt the screen it could get too dark to see what you need to.

Other Thoughts: You can't compare this to an iPad since it is an entry level tablet. Something in the $300 and up price range would compare more to an iPad.
I bought this for my 9 year old daughter to have, it's cheap so if it gets broke it isn't a real big deal.
I kinda wish it had a back camera as well but it isn't that big of a deal.
This works great with Netflix, Skype, and pretty much everything else I have thrown at it! The wireless is not as sensitive as my other wireless devices, but it gets a usable signal.
You do have to be patient with it sometimes, it is only a single core processor so it does take a few extra milliseconds to perform some functions when you compare to more expensive tablets with multi-cores.
I find myself playing with this more than my daughter as it is a pretty nice tablet and sometimes I need a break from the tiny screen of my iPhone! LOL!

I would buy this again for my daughter or my son, but as for myself, I currently have my heart set on a more expensive Transformer Series tablet by ASUS!

3 out of 5 eggsget what you pay for

Pros: cheap, runs android play store, has camera

Cons: where to begin, its cheaply made, the screen is hard to see and is dim even with the brightness at max. the charger does not go all the way into the tablet. touchscreen is not very reliable, the tablet is slow and with very little memory but i got it for a mother's day present for my elderly grandmother to teach her how to use a tablet.

Other Thoughts: you get what you pay for i also have a higher end ASUS EEE pad that i love and my sister has an ipad 2 that she also loves so be aware what you are using this for good for someone to learn with but the screen is frustrating to see out of.

4 out of 5 eggsFor the price, it's an amazing deal.

Pros: This is a steal, for what you're paying for it.
What I said to my wife when I bought it: "Look, if you shatter your iPad, it's a catastrophe. If I drop my tablet, it's a bummer, but I just get another one."

Cons: When the battery's getting low, the touchscreen doesn't work too well, it would be nice if they'd incorporated USB charging, no bluetooth.

Other Thoughts: I've read the other pros and cons. Yes, the charging connector isn't great, is obviously not very sturdy. So I've been careful since I got it, and haven't yet had any problem. The picture on my television via the mini HDMI jack isn't as great as it could be, but it's passable, and the stream is fine.

I never worry about traveling with this thing, because if I break it, I'm just getting another one. Want one for your kids? Consider it a "first tablet", and as such, semi-disposable. For what you're paying, you're getting a remarkable bargain.

1 out of 5 eggsSave your money

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Screen often freezes, no charging through micro-usb, power cord wears loose after a couple of weeks.

Other Thoughts: I understand that you get what you pay but I only really wanted to use this for ebook reading. The main problem being that the power cable after a few weeks of use doesn't fit as snugly after a few weeks. I have sent it back once and again after a few weeks it happened again. This would only be an annoying problem if you could use the micro-usb for charging. I have different tablets from a different company that has a power jack similar to this one and you can still charge it through the usb port.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: good build quality
compact lightweight adapter
reliable and works well

Cons: battery not user replaceable
no ability to buy or use a second battery
charge is only enough for about 90 minutes of use
sloow to recharge (probably to enable the adapter to be light)
Wi-Fi limited to stronger (nearer) locations
display isn't bright enough for outdoor usage
the capacitive screen registration is a bit off on mine which means having to touch about an eighth of an inch higher

Other Thoughts: I am very pleased with this tablet after getting the adapter inserted into the tablet enough. Only about an eighth of an inch of the metal (at least on my version) should remain visible. It takes a firm push at first. After a few charges just normal force is required.

If it refuses to charge reliably, the adapter probably isn't inserted enough into the tablet.

Its Internet functionality is only as good as the Wi-Fi connectivity available. My local libraries, department stores, Amtrak's Baltimore Station, George Washington Hospital and Kaiser Permanente in Washington, DC all provided functional Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi in the Greyhound bus stations met my needs.

It can take a few hours to learn to use a tablet effectively.

I would buy another Avatar Sirius tablet if I needed to.

2 out of 5 eggsVERY DISAPPOINTED

Pros: WHEN IT WORKS:
Smooth performance, seems fine.

Cons: After a day or two, I couldn't even get the charging cord to stay in place, just like the other reviews.
Since no USB charging, it might have well bricked.
It is tempting to buy with good price, but a tablet that doesn't charge is worth nothing.

Other Thoughts: Could have been a great product.

3 out of 5 eggsnot great, not terrible

Pros: it works well and uses android 4.1. apps can be added easily and Its OK as a super cheap way to get an Android tablet. Functionality is decent.

Cons: Dark compared to iOS devices. Uncomfortable for me to use except in darkened places. Touch is poor compated to iOS devices. Its my first android unit, so I can't compare.

Other Thoughts: This is my first android device (I have several iOs devices.) I bought it to try Android out because it was cheap and had decent reviews. As soon as I got it, it considered returning it because the the screen is relatively dark and to use it comfortably, the room should be darkened. The touch screen is not very sensitive but it does work decently if you are careful about your taps. I find that one of the special touch pens (meritline SKU: 0028384-009 are thin and good) makes it much easier to use this than with my fingers. It functions as it should. I can't say anything about its speed compared to others. Its an OK device to start with.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat while it lasted/Update from 4/11

Pros: Price/1GB RAM/Nice screen/snappy response/HDMI out.

I see a lot in reviews for this, and other tablets, about weak WIFI capture, but this thing would get a quick, good, and steady link at home(through walls, and just using AT&T's standard-issue router) and at hotspots like *bux & McD's.

Cons: Did not make it 3 months due to bad proprietary charge port. Charger fit was problematic from day one, and just got progressively more intermittent until total fail after >90 days. It's a shame they could lay down a few more solder traces on the PWB to support USB charging, cause this was a great tablet.

It's especially disappointing because the first user experience after initial charge is so promising.

DO NOT BUY unless you get a newer model(see other thoughts).

Other Thoughts: Tech support said next mfg rev will support USB charging. I would not hesitate to pay the $100 list for such a model, but I don't know how one can confirm that they would be buying from the newer stock.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Inexpensive. Better screen quality than tablets in same price range. Easy setup.

Cons: It seems all those tablets come from same manufacturer, they just add/remove features to balance price and it shares same casing and interface. If anyone has problem with charging it - I know I did - it doesnt let charge through USB at all (shame) and yes need push adapter all way in (wonder how long that will hold), and need TURN OFF tablet. Its very shaky about charging when on. Sometimes does, then stops. Set to stop charge when some activity happens I guess.. Why no idea - bad design is a good guess. I had it at 30% when it came, plugged in - said not charging... freaked out, turned off, it started pouring in. Koc$*so one was better in that respect even if died off completely under a week.

Other Thoughts: Also went to kids, already ordered 7" brand name for about 120$ more, no need to guess how that will work out.

2 out of 5 eggsInexpensive but not a good value

Pros: Inexpensive, small, lightweight, updated operating system, expandable memory with SDHC

Cons: Slow processor, battery life is unpredictable going from too little to start up to 97% within 5 minutes? Or is that a charging issue?
The biggest issue for me is that the touchscreen seems inaccurate. When I touch, any command/link within 5mm might be activated.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for basic functions: web browsing, email, ebooks. Although a fraction of an iPad mini cost, the usefulness is a smaller fraction of the iPad mini's. As noted in Cons, the browser going to the wrong link is infuriating.
The Android file system is open, an advantage over iOS, but not easy to navigate. I have no idea where my downloads are located.
I wish I could charge by USB. One more dedicated charger to carry.
When I went to the Avatar USA site for support it had been hacked.
