Apple’s iPod has revolutionized the way we buy and listen to music. You don’t have to buy the whole album just to get the songs you really wanted. Listening to an iPod is like having a commercial-free radio station that only plays the songs you choose … and they always take your requests! The iPod Touch takes the revolution into a new dimension, with WiFi and theatrical widescreen capabilities!

The iPod Touch’s stunning 3.5” multi-touch screen lets you navigate quickly through the intuitive menu system to any of your videos, photos, music, or audio books. The screen automatically re-orients itself, however you hold the iPod, so you can choose the view you want. Browse and download from the WiFi iTunes Store, surf the Web using Safari, search using Google or Yahoo!, or watch videos on YouTube, anywhere you have WiFi access!

The Touch uses flash memory so it‘s unaffected by vibrations, so it’s a perfect choice for your active lifestyle! The 8mm-thin Touch gives you up to 22 hours of music playback, or 5 hours of video with sound on a single charge. Big things really do come in small packages!

5 out of 5 eggswhat do you think?

Pros: touch screen, wifi, music player, video, 3.5" screen, jail-breaking for third party apps, light, thin, two actual buttons, accelorometer, same data port for connecting to computers, list goes on.

Cons: back scratches very easily, battery life is fairly short while browsing/playing movies. Non other

Other Thoughts: typing this review on my iPod right now. You could always turn Dow the brightness which saves battery life a lot.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great while the battery lasts...

Pros: * Decent Storage Space (8GB)
* Touch-sensitive feature works very well
* Small and lighter than expected
* Hard glass cover (scratch resistant)
* Internet browsing is very intuitive and feels almost better than using a normal computer.

Cons: * The battery life is terrible! With Wifi on, you're lucky to get 3 hours. Combine internet browsing with MP3 listening and you're practically charging the iPod daily.
* Although the glass is scratch resistant, the chrome back scratches VERY easily and becomes mucked up with fingerprints quickly.
* Due to the delicate exterior, you absolutely have to buy some sort of case for the iTouch.
* Doesn't include AC Charger. Some people may not mind, however when I travel I don't always have a computer with me. (iTouch comes with USB cord to charge via your computer.)

Other Thoughts: If the price were $50 less I would give it 5 stars just because even the pros heavily outweigh the flaws.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes not include January update

Pros: Newegg costumer service rules

Cons: Does not include January software update. Price needs to be adjusted accordingly.

Other Thoughts: Newegg needs to stay on their feet at all times and keep their eyes open like they do so amazingly with computer hardware.

In January, Apple released a software upgrade for the iPod Touch that adds some new features. You can still find and buy both versions. Generally though, the older version sells for 10-20% less. You can buy the software upgrade later from Apple, for a fee.

Considering that the price is the same as the newer version, and given that this is after all Newegg we're talking about, I would assume that when I pay the full price I will get the full version.

I have to point out. Newegg did not flinch for a second and made good on my purchase. In under two minutes on the phone every issue was resolved and again I walked away a satisfied Newegg costumer.

Note: At the time you read this review the item might have already been updated to the new version. Check the description and specs carefully.

Happy Newegging

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome ipod

Pros: Awesome ipod. works WAAAY better in my car vs. my Sony Network Walkman. iTunes even has a feature to convert your WMA files to AAC for you, so no need to mess with a 3rd party converter, let alone re-ripping your CDs :)

Now if only I can get to jailbreaking it... ;)

Cons: in order to display the track time remaining/elapsed time on the song, you need to touch the area where the music note is on the player. also there's a bit of a bug when you first set it up. the lock dialogue and the time set dialogue said my time was 4:02PM (the time when I got to running the iPod for the first time) yet the topmost toolbar still said 1:02 PM.. oh well. I fixed it.

not to mention that this is a 8GB model and ipod touches/iphones only go up to 16GB, but hey. has more than enough room for me.

Other Thoughts: Needs more women and a lunch buffet would be nice, but other than that and the minor time fix, this thing is awesome. :D

4 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: Same pros as before. However after owing this for a month several things have come to light. First the headphones that come with this are basically junk. My daughter broke them in the first week. Second. The back looks horrible now and is all scratched up despite a very expensive case.

Cons: Three. I have bought and returned 4 different "boom boxes" that were different brands. All of them had lots of static when playing music from the Touch. What is up with that?

Other Thoughts: Still mad as **ll that they don't include a five dollar wall wart to charge it with. Apple is as greedy as *ONY..

5 out of 5 eggsGreat iPod

Pros: The design is wonderful, music playback is fantastic, and headache-free synching with iTunes. Cover flow is amazing, and actually fun to use to browse through music. Wi-Fi works as advertised.

Cons: It does tend to get a little scratched on the back (why didn't they use all black like the iPhone?) and the screen a little smudged, but it doesn't affect my pleasure of the device at all. It's not as bad for me as many seem to feel it is.

Other Thoughts: 8GB is not a lot of music/movies. It's not a con, since I knew this going in, but it was (and still is) hard to isolate those few songs from a library 3 times that size to put on the iPod.

5 out of 5 eggsQuite Impressed

Pros: Compare this to any portable DVD player and you'll find that it beats every one of them hands down. The video quality is quite good, and the interface remarkable. What's more it's pocket sized, and can connect to WiFi for Internet browsing.

Cons: The price is a bit high, and I wish the browser had better capabilities. My main con though is the ITune interface. That thing can use a lot of improvement, not that it's bad, but just not great like this player.

Other Thoughts: This is the first Apple product I've used since the 80s, and also the first electronic product that's impressed me, going WOW, since HDTV.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome product

Pros: I would just like to start out and say that I am writing this review on my iPod touch. The keyboard is the same from the iPhone so it automatically fixes your mistakes. Very easy to type on. I just recently downloaded the update to get the iPhone apps and love it even more. I can check my email, check the weather, and even keep track of the stock market. Awesome. You would be supprised how easy it is to find a wifi network wherever you are. Sometimes it can pick up a network my MacBook Pro can't.
I have to say this is the ultimate alternative to the iPhone if you are stuck to a network or already have a phone you like.

Cons: Storage size is the only thing I have a problem with (although I had no problem fitting all 1000+ songs, two movies and some space left from over).

Other Thoughts: Great product. If you cannot get an iPhone, or just want an amazing iPod than this is what you need.
