Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I had a little bit of problem with the software; however, I was able to found the solution in creative's web page really quickly

5 out of 5 eggsThink iPod, but MUCH better

Pros: Extreme capacity:price ratio, 2x the capacity of the iPod Video 30GB for <1/2 the price. Supports MP3 and WMA (which most everyone uses nowdays), as well as DivX and other popular formats and not just Mac standards. Password protect picture and movie folders. Recording sound quality is alright, not the best, but more than sufficient for quick memos or to record a lecture. FM reception is well above adverage. Battery life is superb. Screen looks brilliant, especially on 50% or lower. Sound quality is great. Creative is updating the firmware constantly so before you post anything negative, update the firmware (download and run, its an exe file). Not crash prone, just remember this isnt your Opteron or Athlon FX computer, just take it a little slower, give it a couple of seconds after you exit a video before you start another one, let it flush its buffers and youll be fine. Comes with a hard plastic screen protector already on it. Piano black finish is great. (out of characters)

Cons: When playing a 320kbps MP3 or WMA the player does get a little slower in flipping through menus, which is expected since this thing doesnt have a huge processor. No startup password protection option (yet)...thats it, quite a list of cons isnt it?

Other Thoughts: At half the price and double the storage of an iPod, along with a great compatibility list and long battey life make this an excellent bargan. When you first hook it up to your computer it will take about 40 minutes or so to charge enough to come on because they were smart enough to ship it with a fully drained battery to prevent wear on the battery, so dont think its defective. Also, keep updating the firmware.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product at a great price

Pros: I really like my Creative. It does everything I need it to do. It took me a minute or two to fully understand how to down load the software. I think creative has come a long way with their MP3’s. I was kind of shocked or amazed when I find out that you can store your addresses and contact numbers in it also.

Cons: It’s kind of bulky and heavier when compared to the IPOD. But when compared to the IPOD, price wise, you get your full money’s worth. I can’t seem to find a arm strap made for this particular MP3, so you can’t really wear it around my arm like the IPOD when I work out. I also can’t seem to find any device made to wear it on your hip. I bought a leather case for it. The case has a loop on it to wear on your belt, but who wears a belt when they work out?

Other Thoughts: Overall I’m very pleased with my Creative. It serves its purpose. Even though it’s still early, I really don’t have any complaints. I have owned 2 Creative MP3’s before this one, so I knew what to expect from them. Their products are very good, and you get them at a very good price when compared to other products (Ipod, Logitec). I do wish that it was a little lighter or even slimmer like the Ipod.

5 out of 5 eggsTrue Zen

Pros: Purchased to replace my almost four year old 40GB Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra. This unit is slightly narrower, has a color screen that is easier to read even in bright light, and it accesses menu functions much faster than my old Zen Xtra. I don't really use my player for video that much, (it functions fine when I do) but pics look very good for the screen size. Also, the bugs present in earlier creative software seemed to be gone as I have been able to use all of the programs without errors.

Cons: No leather case with belt clip. Does not come with charger (5 hours from completely dead battery to full charge using USB). Still larger in overall size than a similar capacity IP*D.

Other Thoughts: If you want to run with the rest of the sheep, get the Ip*d. The folks I know with the other players spent more money and they still think this is a better machine.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Media Player

Pros: High capacity drive
Bright LCD, good resolution
Easy-to-navigate menus and controls
Long-lasting battery
Hold setting
Decent earbuds
Screen protector included

Cons: More accesories would be nice, i.e. wall charger and cover. I think a few low-cost items should be included with all expensive electronics.

Other Thoughts: For the price to capacity ratio, this is one of the best video/music players on the market. Creative has always made quality audio devices; this one is no different.

I've had no problems with mine; syncing is easy and relatively fast; battery lasts 15+ hours for music (with LCD dark); and mine's lasting through Iraqi heat and dust!
Props to Newegg for shipping overseas to APO.

2 out of 5 eggsThey make better

Pros: Nice looking, easy to use, good software.

Cons: Have had to RMA twice now. Once within a week of receiving, so I bought the extended warranty for $xx(ouch!), glad I did. First time the screen went bad, second time, HD failed, both times they sent new ones to replace.

This new one seems to be a bit different, hope I have better luck.

Other Thoughts: Not sure why all the troubles. Have always liked their sound cards, I own an X-fi xtreme gamer, and I love it! Hopefully now that these have been out for a while, they have worked out the bugs. Will write a follow up before the year is up. is always smart to wait a while before writing a review. Give it a chance to sink or swim.

5 out of 5 eggsZen Vision M 60 GB

Pros: Great player, lots of good features and good price for a 60 GB. This is the largest capacity player I could find that is Rhapsody-To-Go compatible and the protected files play flawelesly on this machine

Cons: The touch pad is rather sensitive, something I am sure I will get used to. A great step up from my Zen Xtra I owned

Other Thoughts: I wish they had this in 100GB with satellite radio.. hey, I can dream!

1 out of 5 eggsStay Clear of Creative..

Pros: Cant think of any because I could never get it to work.

Cons: I returned this item. It claims to play movies, but after 3 days of trying to figure out how to do this, and countless emails to Creative, I just returned it. Also the files it loaded on my computer were very difficult to get rid of also Poor poor customer service from Creative.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage.

Pros: Intuitive navigation, supports loads of video codecs.

Cons: Kind of bulky, see other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: I bought this device in late November of 2006. I had to RMA it to Creative in February because the display became corrupt. They replaced it with a brand new unit, but here we are about 5 months later and the display is corrupt AGAIN! I just sent it out for the 2nd RMA in an 8 month period. Totally ridiculous. Creative should stick with what they know (audio) and stay away from what they obviously don't (video).
