Nice if you get a deal...
- Pros: The product works well, and it is endorsed by Energizer, so it probably won't blow up. Charges as described, compact, not totally ugly.
- Cons: The 'case' aspect is questionable. There is no 'click-secure' type thing holding the phone in. Though the connection is tight, I just feel like the phone could fall out of the top. It does not when I hold it upside down. Still...
- Other Thoughts: This is great if you get a good price and you need extra juice. I have another battery, so I added this one just to be safe. I would probably not pay full price for this. More ergonomic than a Richard Solo battery. If you just need a backup battery just-in-case, this might work for you. As a perm fixture, think again.
Issues with Charging
- Pros: Will recharge your battery about 60-70%, I use it to recharge when I am running around and cannot have it plugged in.
- Cons: Does not protect the entire iPhone.
- Other Thoughts: As some others have mentioned, I have problems with it working as well, though this appears to be more of an iPhone issue than with the actual case. Sometimes it will charge, sometimes it will not, almost like the iPhone does not recognize it. At one point I thought the iPhone had fried it, the LED's, nothing worked!
Decent product
- Pros: 1500mAh capacity, does a decent job of keeping the battery "shielded" from your hand so you won't end up warming up the device though I wonder if there's breathing room for the iPhone battery, you can use the USB cable provided to sync the iPhone with your computer.
- Cons: Case won't protect your iPhone if you drop it, adds a fair amount of bulk to the iPhone though nothing unbearable.. the thickness is at least doubled, and at first it was a little funky in terms of being able to charge my iPhone.
I suspect that if you intend on using this as a recharging device ONLY then you should expect a fair less usage time than you could get with this permanently attached to the iPhone.
- Other Thoughts: This proves that the iPhone needed a bigger battery from the beginning or at least a removable battery. So let's get this straight: 1150 + 1500 = 2650mAh total. The battery is at 25% right now while the iPhone's battery is at 100%. It hasn't even been 12 hours yet since I charged it and the battery pack is at 25%.
So now my iPhone will last roughly a day without charging and not to mention more recharging time that will be needed.
I guess I shouldn't complain too much. I owned a PDA before and had two batteries, one at 850mAh and the other at 1150mAh and they could only power my device for 5 hours combined and the PDA didn't even use WiFi most of the time.
So maybe everything isn't all that bad...
