Question 1

I cannot find any information on wifi support. Is it like some of the other units where the antenna are built into the cover? And of course, does it have an empty slot for a card?

Yes and yes: half-length mini-PCI slot intended for a wi-fi card and built in antenna with connection leads that end near where the card would be. Personally, I'm waiting on purchasing a wi-fi card until more AC versions in that format are available and I'm using the built-in gigabit ethernet for my purposes anyway.

Question 2

I am interested in only buying this unit as a bundle but I would like to have a HDD drive rather than an SSD drive. I would also like to max out the RAM and do not need a monitor. Is that something I am able to do through Newegg?

I am a customer who purchased this unit and not a Newegg employee.
This unit is very small and, to the best of my knowledge, will not support any HDD.  Even the SDD is VERY tiny.  It is also very low power.  You could probably use a USB hard drive with an external power source, however, there are only two USB jacks (mouse and keyboard, which you will need at least during OS installation).
The following 16 GB ram is working OK for me:

Question 3

Does this unit have enough graphics power with HD4000 integrated graphics to be a home theater PC? I have a 70 inch 1080P TV that I want to stream hulu shows on, would this be able to push a 1080P image at 70 inches?

I built my own HTPC and used an Intel I3-2100 and it works great for over the air High Def (1080I) and blu-ray discs (1080P).  My TV is an 82 in. Mitsubishi.
My I3-2120 does not even support HD4000 graphics, so I think the newer I3 chip in this unit will work better.
If this unit was available when I built my HTPC, I would have imperiously considered it.

I put a "Kill-a-watt" meter on the AC input line and observed a short high of 21 watts during startup, then it settled down between 10-15 watts. I'm running an ASUS 24" monitor from one of the hdmi outputs and have 4gb of ram installed. Also running a 240gb mSATA SSD and a combo bluetooth/wifi card, both internal to the NUC. Finally, I am using all 3 USB ports: one for a logitech wireless keyboard dongle, one for the IR dongle for a Rosewill WMC remote control, and one for an external USB-powered DVD drive (not being used when these readings were taken). I couldn't get to my power brick to see the supply rating but would guess it's maximum 150 watts.

Can this run in a car, on 12 volts?  It looks like the adapter is for 19V, but maybe it can run on twelve...

I would not try it on 12 volts directly. Instead try something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2V511R1615 Not sure about that item exactly, but a decent laptop power supply of the correct ratings, with the correct power connector would be the way to go to use this computer in a car. The 12 volts in a car, is actually anywhere from a low 11.5 volts to sometimes over 15.3 volts. It is NOT a stable voltage source by itself to run a computer, and have it work reliably at least. A laptop power supply will not only provide the correct voltage, but do it at in regulated and stable manner to keep your computer, and you, happy.

so this was selling for 250 before christmass, now its 300 with a $50 gift? New egg must think they are clever...why is it so hard to get a fair deal these days :-(

No, USB 2.0 only, three. The new Haswell version has USB 3.0.
