The widescreen nüvi 2350LMT comes with free lifetime map updates and traffic. It also includes lane assist with junction view¹, trafficTrends historical traffic, myTrends predictive routing and ecoRoute.

  • newegg Includes Lifetime Map Updates Right out of the box, the nüvi 2350LMT comes bundled with nüMaps Lifetime. Which means you can download the newest map data when it becomes available — no monthly fees or maintenance costs — for the lifetime of your device. (FREE lifetime map updates entitle you to receive up to 4 map data updates per year, when and as such updates are made available on the Garmin website, for this specific Garmin product only until this product’s useful life expires or Garmin no longer receives map data from its third party supplier, whichever is shorter. The updates you receive will be updates to the same geographic map data originally included with your Garmin product when originally purchased. Garmin may terminate your lifetime map updates at any time if you violate any of the terms of the End User License Agreement accompanying your nüvi product. )
  • newegg Includes Lifetime Traffic A combination power cable/traffic receiver in the box gives you traffic services for the life of your device. You’ll avoid traffic jams and keep moving when your nüvi alerts you and offers detours. No additional purchases are necessary — it’s 100% subscription-free traffic. (FREE lifetime traffic updates may not be transferred to another person or another Garmin product. Lifetime traffic extends for the useful life of your Garmin traffic receiver (as long as you own a compatible Garmin GPS) or as long as Garmin receives traffic data from its traffic supplier, whichever is shorter. Traffic content not available for all areas. See for traffic coverage areas and for program License Agreement containing complete terms and conditions.)
  • newegg Know the Lane Before It’s Too Late No more guessing which lane you need to be in to make an upcoming turn. Lane assist with junction view guides you to the correct lane for an approaching turn or exit, making unfamiliar intersections and exits easy to navigate. It realistically displays road signs and junctions on your route along with arrows that indicate the proper lane for navigation.
  • newegg Turn-by-turn Directions nüvi 2350LMT has an intuitive interface that greets you with 2 simple questions: “Where To?” and “View Map.” Touch the color screen to easily look up addresses and services and get voice-prompted, turn-by-turn directions that speak street names to your destination. It comes preloaded with detailed City Navigator NT street maps for the U.S, Canada and Mexico with nearly 6 million points of interest (POIs) including restaurants, hotels, entertainment venues, gas stations and ATMs, and speed limits for most major roads in the U.S. and Europe. And with HotFix satellite prediction, nüvi calculates your position faster to get you there quicker.
  • newegg Go Beyond Navigation Also offered on nüvi 2350LMT are standard nüvi features that go beyond navigation. For example, nüRoute Technology — trafficTrends and myTrends to better predict your estimated time of arrival and improve your routes. Enhanced pedestrian navigation capabilities — pairs great with optional cityXplorer maps to navigate big cities. ecoRoute — a green feature that helps you calculate a more fuel-efficient route and tracks fuel usage. Travel tools — JPEG picture viewer, world travel clock with time zones, currency converter, measurement converter, and calculator. Photo navigation — download pictures from Garmin Connect Photos and navigate to them. "Where Am I?" emergency locator — get your exact latitude and longitude coordinates, the nearest address and intersection, and the closest hospitals, police stations, and fuel stations.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Enough

Pros: * Gets me where I need to go
* Loud
* Still working after 1.5 years
* Free map updates!
* Adjusts to your driving, and learns where you are going (sort of).

Cons: * Speed limits are usually off, or non-existant
* Menu navigation can be a little annoying.
* Address finding isn't the most accurate.
* Doesn't come close to sticking to windshield anymore.

Other Thoughts: * Haven't had problems updating maps, seems pretty easy.
* It learns sometimes where you're going, it's nice because lets say you go the same place every Tuesday. Next tuesday it will have a little notification on top that says the place you are headed, and how long until you get there. You can just click it and hit Go. It doesn't always work but when it does it's nice.
* It adjusts the times based on your driving habits, that's nice it being much more accurate.
* Speed limits on major highways and some places, and even they aren't always accurate. I've got TomTom on iphone and it's a lot more accurate on there, but when it works it is awesome.
* Finding addresses isn't always spot on, like most GPS's, but I find it helps to do intersections, and to save everywhere you frequent so it's memorized.
* Windshield stick doesn't work anymore so it's just wedged inbetween my dash and windshield. I've tried tricks but I think I need to buy one of those bean bags for my dash.

* BOTTOM LINE is the price is right and it's nice compared to my TomTom. Happy I bought it. I think if I buy a new one I want voice activation so I can just tell it to navigate where I want instead of trying to push through menus.

1 out of 5 eggsFirst use March 25, 2012. Just plain died March 31st for no apparent reason.

Pros: When it worked it was the best GPS I ever owned. It showed traffic and automatically without any user input redirected my route. Screen layout great. The ads were unobtrusive. In fact whilst driving I boasted that I was going to buy another once my road trip ended and was lamenting why I didn't use it sooner.

Cons: It died in the following steps. First the road disappeared from the screen so that it just showed grey, then the voice commands stopped, then it didn't respond when I tried to re-input the destination via touch screen, then I shut it off to turn it back on (hoping that rebooting it would solve the problem), but it never came back on. This happened two days before my road trip ended. I had to use my first GPS which I took with me just in case there was a steep learning curve to this one. is one was too hard to get used to

Other Thoughts: I was skittish buying this after reading the other feedback, but thought I'd give it a try anyways, and was so impressed in the first 6 days of use that today as I am writing this would have purchased another. I guess I should be happy that it died while still in warranty (I assume). Will contact Garmin for a refund or replacement.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Customer Service

Pros: Easy to use.

Cons: Product was packed with wrong connection accessories. The car lghter power input packed with this product was GTM26 when the actual model should be GTM35. Neither Garmin nor wants to take responsibility to correct the situation.

Other Thoughts: I have to go out to buy the correct power adapter and cost me another $20. MY ADVISE -- DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CHEAP ONLINE WEBSITE. They have the least customer service!

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works with micro usb / mini usb car chargers.
Comes with an automount feature.
Switch off the traffic and you have no ads.
Routing calculation takes mean time.
Nice screen and nice navigation with good features.

Cons: Voice is low when compared with other GPS.
Routing calculation could have been made fast than it is right now.

Other Thoughts: Haven't used much, but would recommend buying it in a deal, as you have free lifetime map updates on this one.

5 out of 5 eggsNice GPS

Pros: Lightning Fast Acquisition. Speed and Red light camera alerts.

Cons: Odd routing at times. Low volumes.

Other Thoughts: Amazingly immediate startup. Turn it on and it acquires in a blink of eye. I'm in awe of this thing. The signal processing to do that is incredible. The GPS signal is a long pattern to correlate and this GPS simply kills the competition. Traffic adds are no problem for me. They only appear when you have stopped at your destination or at startup. The speed and red ligh camera alerts are the best. You can avoid a costly fine. I use this gps every day to watch traffic going to and from work. The traffic data is about 80-90% accurate. This is my second unit. The first unit crashed some, had insensitive touch screen and had volume issues so I returned. The second unit behaves much better but the volume is only slightly higher, I think. Set at 100% volume is what I keep and it is just adequate against road noise. The routing can be problematic and can route you in odd ways. The best thing to do is to zoom out and look at the route and see if it makes sense.

2 out of 5 eggsNever assume

Pros: Works fine. Free map updates. Option to add safety camera locations.

Cons: No bluetooth (doh!)

Other Thoughts: I was on the fence about buying this unit. I already owned a Garmin nüvi 765T that worked perfectly...but Garmin wanted $89.00 for lifetime map updates. When I saw this little number marked down I figured "hey for another 40 bucks I can get an updated unit with free map updates. What's to lose? Well bluetooth that's what. Check the specs right next to bluetooth is the word NO. No bluetooth. No caller ID pop ups on the map for incoming phone calls. To make it worse there's a limited return policy associated with the product so I can only return it for a replacement. I have no one to blame but myself.

4 out of 5 eggsBetter than my last Garmin GPS

Pros: I don't know about average GPS units, but the 2350LMT easily surpasses the other Garmin I owned. It's got a better touchscreen, boots up faster, and recalculates faster also. The UI is also slightly better on this unit than my last one making searching for stuff much easier.

Cons: I don't like the ads, but you can just run off battery to avoid those. I don't like having to have the unit plugged in to receive traffic updates. Search times are still pretty slow.

Other Thoughts: Overall I feel this is a pretty solid GPS unit and I plan on keeping it until it breaks or I lose it again.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: Lifetime maps, wide screen

Cons: Insufficient turn notice from voice prompt.

Other Thoughts: Replaced a 2-3 year old Magellan because of map update costs and occasional errors. Have same occasional errors now and miss turns due to the lateness of voice turn cues. Traffic feature is useless in my second tier city.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Buy 4 1/2 Eggs

Pros: Good value. Bought as a shell shocker. Christmas gift for the girlfriend. Gets her from her house to mine so I can't ask for much. Lifetime map updates is where this thing gains some value. The map layout is aesthetically pleasing to me. This thing also tells you where to go.

Cons: If I could, I would take half an egg off for the ads that support the lifetime traffic updates. Sure, she will probably never use it and you can turn the feature off, but I'm sure most human beings would rather pay an extra few bucks than have ads popping up on a device that they bought. Just doesn't seem right. You wouldn't buy a new LCD TV if it you had banners poking up every 10 minutes.

Other Thoughts: Overall a good buy. I have a garmin myself and have always been happy with it so I got this one. Works nicely. Nice black color. Thin. If you can, get a model with out lifetime traffic. But go Garmin.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't Buy

Pros: Fast startup.

Cons: This is my second unit which doesn't work properly. Not reliable; shuts down randomly.

Other Thoughts: This is an update to my 12/12/2011 review. This second unit is also rebooting or shutting down randomly while in use. I now have to pay another shipping fee to get it replaced by Garmin. Although my earlier contact at Garmin said they would pay shipping if there was another problem, now they won't. And Newegg won't replace it or refund either. I'm not happy with either Garmin or Newegg.
