3 out of 5 eggsInterface review

Pros: Interface has many options for basic users. 2D, 3D, night time mode and options behind each one to make it unique (such as auto-night mode). Charges by plugging into mini-USB. Comes with car mount, pictorial guide and instruction manual CD. Charges full in under a couple hours. Feels solid compared to other GPS devices I have experienced. Touch-screen works fine with finger, but also comes with stylus. While in 2D or 3D map mode you can click and drag the screen to move the map, or a single tap will bring up two options: 'Go there' or 'Add to Favorites'.
Interface language and spoken language can be changed separately. Speaker is loud and volume is easily adjusted. You can navigate options etc without losing your route. Comes with SD card.

DOES tell you when needing a charge 20 minutes ahead. LCD turns orange when charging, and green when fully charged.

Cons: Seems to pause when calculating searches or routes. If you mis-type something, it pauses for too long just to tell you the city, street or POI doesn't exist.

Confirmation clicks happen even when calculating, or if you miss your button (IE - clicking above a button on nothing will still make a clicking sound, making it confusing as to whether or not you clicked).

Doesn't seem to give much leeway when making name mistakes (Texas Rangers Baseball Stadium VS Texas Rangers Ballpark).

Only comes with one visual style (not including map display settings).

Voice sounds robotic and cannot change accents.

Other Thoughts: Happy so far - This isn't expensive, so don't expect the best out of it. Good for a cheap unit.

Also - haven't figured out a way to input coordinates, only view what LAT/LONG I am currently at.

Altitude seems inaccurate, but might be caused by poor GPS signals in area.

4 out of 5 eggsGood GPS for the money

Pros: Signal strength, and acquisition time are very good. Speaks street names clearly and accurately. Screen is bright and clear. Great price!

Cons: Software is not upgradable. Touch screen is a little quirky, doesn't always register when you touch it, even with the stylus.

Other Thoughts: For the money it's hard to find a GPS with the features that this unit offers. So far it has been very dependable and very accurate. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this GPS to anyone I know.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Excellent so far. Works as advertised. The battery can be recharged using a standard USB cable through the computer.

Cons: Did not come with an A/C charger; only with a car charger.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible GPS

Pros: It looked like a GPS, it came with a SD memory card.

Cons: This thing works when it wants to, battery died after 2 weeks of use, 90% of the time I have to hard reset it, otherwise it will not turn on. Screen is not 4 inch, which is the diagonal measure of the Cover Plastic Edge. The whole GPS software worked as Windows CE application, without the maps inside SD card it will not work. Fonts are so small, buttons are also small you'd have to use the STYLUS they included. If it’s not FINGER friendly, then it is not designed for drivers. Called PHAROS within my 30 days about battery issue and map update issues, NO SUCH THING CALLED MAP UPDATE, *** CANNOT UPDATE MAPS *** not even If I want to pay for that. Now this thing is a paper weight, I got a TOMTOM instead; I should so get that the first time, don’t waste your money on this trash.

Other Thoughts: There is an antenna hole in the back, customer service don't even know it exists when I ask for GPS antenna accessory.
