I love TomTom...
- Pros: No GPS is perfect, but I have always had great luck with TomToms. This is my second one and it works great and a lot faster than my old one.
The windshield mount is way better than my old one as well.
- Cons: None...
Register first, then update is available
- Pros: I've only just opened it, so this review is limited to the map updates. I registered as a new user and, then pluged in the unit to the computer. Updated all the software and signed up for mapshare feature. Then when I tried to update map it indicated that I would have to pay $39.95 for map updates for 5 quarters. Closed program and then tried it again the next day. Walla, I was now eligible for map updates and the update was as smoothe as slik.
- Cons: None, too soon to tell
- Other Thoughts: Excellent shipping as always. Newegg rocks! Go it for $90, but missed out on a $20/30 rebate a few days later.
Works depending on location
- Pros: Lots of neat features. Enjoy using it.
- Cons: Took TomTom to Los Angeles; couldn't find Van Nuys Airport or IKEA, 2 locations that have been around for at least 20 years, maybe more. Major pain!!
Mispronounces many street names, especially ones in Spanish.
