Please read the product description carefully for all unlocked cell phones.

Some unlocked cell phones sold by Newegg may have previously been locked to a specific carrier. A carrier-locked cell phone may often have carrier-specific applications and branding. Some of these applications cannot be unlocked and/or may not function with a different carrier. Also, applications requiring a data plan may result in data usage charges from the original carrier.

In addition, the cell phone box may arrive unsealed and the cell phone may appear previously handled. The unlocking procedure requires unsealing the box and manually handling the cell phone. In this case, the cell phone should not be considered “tampered with” or “defective”.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Basic Phone

Pros: Very well built/designed basic phone.

>Speaker/ear phone is loud if you need it loud!

>Call quality with Walmart Family Mobile (T-mobile) is excellent.

>Battery life is A+; 4 days of heavy use before it needs a recharge. I have two, the second is used less often and will go 8+ days without a recharge.

>Camera is OK; definitely not high def, but good enough for a quick pic when a real camera isn't handy. Works great for desktop pics and emailing them as the file size is very small (75Kb).

>Lots of customization options; including a shortcut bar that you load with your favorites.

>Battery charging is quick; dead to full in about an hour and half.

>Texting is easy once you get a feel for the layout.

>Nokia customer service is EXCELLENT! You call, they give answers. Walked me through setting that the manual poorly covered.

Cons: >owners manual is terrible; no real help with advanced features..you basically have to try and try again to set it up the way you want it.

>Depending on how you hold the phone, you may hear your own voice when speaking; sort of like you're talking in a can...but the recipient says it sounds great.

Other Thoughts: Great phone that handles calls/text extremely well but leaves a lot to be desired as far as web browsing...but hey...it's an $80 phone...

Bluetooth works very well. If you want to ditch your landline, but would love to still use the landline phones in your house, buy a Phonelynx to go with this phone...You'll be in heaven!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat phone for travelling

Pros: Has a full keyboard. You can browse the web (although it's only for emergencies). Probably the best software on a phone that is not a smartphone. For example you can set it to silent mode until a specific time of the day. I wish my iPhone did that.

Cons: None really, as long as you are aware that it is not a smartphone so internet browsing will be limited and there aren't very many great apps.

Other Thoughts: Worked for us with T-Mobile USA, TIM Italy and other carriers. You do have to get your carrier to send you the configuration SMS with the settings for sending and receiving pics (MMS) and with the data settings (WAP). I was not able to manually set them up otherwise. I had to call T-Mobile, while TIM in Italy send me those messages when I started the contract with them. Other carriers will let you request the config to be sent from their website.

After receiving the config SMS you will be able to go in the menu and switch between all settings you received as you switch SIM cards around to keep MMS and data going.

1 out of 5 eggsAT&T Customers Beware!

Pros: Cheap

Cons: If you are an AT&T customer you will not be able to send and receive pictures. According to the sales reps at the AT&T store, this is an "overseas" phone and does not fully support the AT&T network.

5 out of 5 eggsBasic but good

Pros: Well built, responsive buttons, good layout, good call clarity, music sounds good (using skullcandy buds). It's exactly what they claim it to be and it does a good job of it.

Cons: Camera is really useless! .3mp - There is no excuse for not having at least a 1mp camera. I don't know why they even bothered. A better selection of simple ring tones (actual ringing sounds) would of been nice.

Other Thoughts: Read the reviews of the phone and know what you are buying - If you have done your homework and are satisfied with what it has to offer then go a head and get it, you won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsYou have to think old school

Pros: It is going to do just what I want when we travel to Brazil. A pro is that it is evolved from an old school phone that will do mail and messaging at more of an optimized data rate than modern smart phones.

It will make calls and keep you connected to IM, news and email. You can even search the web.

Cons: If you own modern smart phones you have to dust off some old skills. All applications have to be downloaded to the phone over the data connection. You can do firmware, music, photos and contacts on your computer.

Other Thoughts: The phone does not have wifi. OK with me because I do take my US smartphone and use it only on wifi. You have to lookup the packet connection settings (GPRS code) for the card you are going to use. This is a common setting and a shop in the country where you are going should be able to help you... or search the web for "packet connection setting" and the provider name. Once that is done you will be online for data.

I downloaded a free ebuddy app from their store and now have an instant messaging via multiple providers so I can IM to the US for just the data charges. The built-in mail client supports multiple providers natively and is again optimized for low data usage. It presents only the first 5-6 emails. You have to tell it to gather more. I also grabbed a news program app to read the US newspaper.

The apps you download appear about 5 menus deep. I found you can add them to the GO TO menu on the left key.
