3 out of 5 eggsInexpensive phone

Pros: Cheap, thin, quad band.

Cons: You can get the same phone cheaper with a global SIM card on skymall. This phone does not come with a SIM card so you need to buy that for service.

Other Thoughts: I could not get this working on a Rogers GSM network in Canada for some reason.

5 out of 5 eggs2nd Time's the Charm

Pros: It does seem strong and sturdy as mentioned in previous reviews. It's a bit thicker than my previous phone, a Motorola F3, but it still fits in a pants pocket easily. Although it is an older phone, it still looks sleek and stylish. The buttons are responsive. The battery life is surprisingly great- it lasted about as long as my old F3, which was four days of all day use. I usually charge my phone once a week, and this looks to be on track to be the same for me. Finally, call quality is good so far. I haven't had an issues of dropped calls or poor quality. I love being able to sync my Calendar and Contacts with this phone using Motorola Phone Tools software- that was one main reason why I got this phone.

Cons: One slight cosmetic defect is a very slight opening between the battery cover and the phone along the sides. I read about this in an online review, and it was very noticeable with my first L6, but with this 2nd L6, it's barely noticeable, but it is there, just doesn't bother me. The only other con so far is that it is sometimes hard to hear. The polyphonic ring tones sound great, but I have missed calls in a crowded supermarket, and I would not have missed those calls with my old phone. I'll just have to find a ringtone that I can hear easily.

Other Thoughts: This is the 2nd Motorola L6 for me. The first one didn't work out of the box, and a big kudos for Newegg for giving me an RMA and sending me this one, which has worked well. If you get this on sale, then it is definitely worth it. Also, be sure to get the Motorola Phone Tools software so you can sync your Contacts and Calendar with this phone. I found it after doing a Google search.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat phone

Pros: This is a great simple phone which is well built, thin and very light. The specifications are actually wrong as the phone weighs only 2.8 ounces (not 3.3 as listed). I have L7 as well and this is a little lighter than that which is important to me as dont like to carry heavy stuff in pockets. Very good talk time.

Cons: Does not have much multimedia capabilities but you would not be buying this phone if you wanted those.

Other Thoughts: If you want a reliable, sturdy, thin and light phone this is hard to beat.

5 out of 5 eggsWow...

Pros: This phone is indestructible. Anything, even water, won't stop it from working. Most of the phone is metal and isn't really scratched easily. A drop from waist height onto cement will do absolutely nothing to it. It's taken two years of neglect and abuse from me which includes dropping it on concrete all the time and throwing it around carelessly.

Cons: It's newer cousin the L7, is actually quite a little daisy unfortunately... Motorola probably saw how this phone never broke and realized they'd lose money if their phones were as indestructible as this one ;] Had an L7 that couldn't even take 1% of the punishment and abuse the L6 did and had to be thrown in the garbage.

Other Thoughts: I am surprised and also glad at the same time they still sell this. If you have a child you wish to give a cell phone to, well, let it be this one, because they could play hacky sack with it and it'll be fine (I know, because I did....boredom does wonders). You'd be surprised at it's durability.
