Please read the product description carefully for all unlocked cell phones.

Some unlocked cell phones sold by Newegg may have previously been locked to a specific carrier. A carrier-locked cell phone may often have carrier-specific applications and branding. Some of these applications cannot be unlocked and/or may not function with a different carrier. Also, applications requiring a data plan may result in data usage charges from the original carrier.

In addition, the cell phone box may arrive unsealed and the cell phone may appear previously handled. The unlocking procedure requires unsealing the box and manually handling the cell phone. In this case, the cell phone should not be considered “tampered with” or “defective”.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Phone

Pros: I have this same exact phone (albeit the GSM model) and it does everything I want. There is a virtually unlimited number of applications for Windows Mobile, many of them free and/or open source. The camera works great and the keyboard and screen are both very responsive.

Cons: Android isn't ported for this phone yet.

Other Thoughts: I have CID-unlocked my Touch Pro by following the instructions at xda-developers. Just google!

This means that I can flash any custom rom I would like. After playing with WM6.1 when I first got it, I made the jump to WM6.5 and I must say that this phone comes alive with Microsoft's new OS. To compare it to something widely known, it is much more responsive than the iPhone. The interface is EXTREMELY finger friendly.

I can't wait until Android gets ported so I can play with that, too. :D

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great phone. Screen looks absolutely stunning, has lots of features and raw horsepower for whatever you want to do (if you complaining about it being slow, read the other thoughts section). Running WM 6.1, so yeah you can install whatever you want essentially. I don't have the sprint version, mine is a GSM version so there are slight differences. Has a nice solid feel, keyboard works great, and the interface is wonderful. Wifi is wonderful when I need it. Sounds great, looks sexy.
Best part: You can flash using XDA kitchen roms and do whatever your hearts desire is to this phone XD

Cons: The screen is obscenely delicate. My first one broke just riding in my jeans...the bending over stretch the jeans over the screen and cracked the tough sensitive layer. Alltel replaced it for free, and I just ended up getting an aluminum case to carry it in when it's riding in my pocket. Not a big deal.
Reception kind of sucks in basements of buildings on campus, but hey my RAZR didn't perform much better.
Interface is a little slow, unless you have the ability to use google and can read English...
Stock opera kind of sluggish, getting the new version fixes that.

Other Thoughts: Ok people, if you aren't happy with tech there is almost always a way to get what you want out of it.
USE GOOGLE. Get .net compact 3.5 and advanced config. Find one of the 15 million reprints of the guide explaining how to increase cache size and whatnot. This will make the phone significantly faster, killing nearly any lag time with all apps/touchflow.
Still not happy? Find XDA and look into getting a whole new rom.
Honestly guys, just google.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing phone for both business and multimedia.

Pros: Windows Mobile operating system. Stylus, touch screen, and keyboard. Internal motion/level sensor. Very nice camera with flash. Excellent screen resolution. Easy to use. Able to use slide out keyboard or on-screen keyboard which can be setup to be full QWERTY, compact QWERTY, or phone keypad layout. Voice command. Sprint TV is very nice. Instant weather access is super nice. Text messaging and picture messaging are both fantastic. Internet browsing is nice especially since you have Opera and Explorer to use. The navigation is system is very impressive and better than my friend's Garmin.

I absolutely love all the information you can store for each contact. You can store name, company, multiple addresses, multiple numbers, email, IM, web page, important people, and a whole page of notes for each contact and then some.

The phone comes with a clear screen protector that you put on. It just covers the touch screen portion, and you can't even tell it's on.

Cons: I do wish the screen was a bit larger. I see everything fine, but a slightly larger screen would be nice.

I wish more applications were available. Sadly the iPhone is for sure far superior in the application department over all phones.

Speaker phone could be better. The volume is fine in a quiet room, but if there is any noise in the room it is hard to hear. Also at full volume the speaker is high pitched sounding.

Also it would be nice if the regular speaker could get louder as well. This is only a problem in a loud environment, but still most of my other phones have been able to go louder than this one.

I wish there was an easier way to backup my contacts and d/l the pictures from my phone. Unfortunately I have to buy the current Outlook to backup my contacts.

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure what else I can say about this phone. I absolutely love it and have been pleased with the Sprint network. The phone is not 100% perfect, but then again what is. There really only are a few things that can be done to make this phone perfect. I should add that this is the first smart phone I have ever owned/used, but I did put a ton of research into it before I bought. I was with US Cellular, and I was determined to go with Sprint's $99 Simply Everything plan. The competition is at ~$150 for the same service.

2 out of 5 eggsdepends on what you want to use it for

Pros: Beautiful screen. Handy slide out keyboard(has bugs).

Cons: Two weeks of utter frustration! I went from a razr two to this. Really disapointed. No apps for this phone work. Either nothing is available or if it is it doesnt work. Java Emulators c*rap out, of course HTC doesnt include java although somehow its running opera mini with the j2me enviornment. Every app that is available for this phone is business oriented. Confirm what anothe reviewer posted about lag, its really slow! If you are used to a phone responding quickly.. this isnt for you. Played with a gsm version works much better. Touch Flo 3D is nice at first but its the biggest pain in the neck to get used to. Always pressing other buttons, launching software which you dont want. I have small fingers btw but its just too sensitive. And i have changed the settings. Nothing works, already had to do a hard reset twice. Battery life is horrible, If you use your phone a lot get extended if not two batteris and have chargers with you ( I carry a usb cord around just in case).

Other Thoughts: All i can say is for the basic user its ok, if you really want some use out of mobile device avoid this one. If I wasnt with sprint I'd go for blakberry or G1. I am really disappointed by this product.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Best Touch yet. The slide out keyboard is nice, but it is optional. You don't need to use it at all.
Fast.
Great screen!
Nice camera!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Went from HTC 6700 to Touch to Diamond Touch Pro.
Just the best yet.
I can't wait for the Touch HD (if it ever gets to the US)

4 out of 5 eggsTouch Pro

Pros: 640x480 screen resolution is quite nice, especially while web browsing. The camera takes good pictures as well as video (352x288) and has a usable flash. Sound quality is good on the phone and the signal strength is a bit better (I think) than my HTC Touch. The keyboard takes a little getting used to, then it is great. The HTC full QWERTY is a great on screen keyboard if you don't want to fold out the big one. The abundance of Windows mobile programs that are free or available for purchase will let you do about anything you want to do. Office, torrents, great video and audio programs, whatever.

Cons: The touch flo interface is shortly amusing but ultimately not very effective. It ends up requiring more steps to do everything (accessing calender, contacts, PHONE, internet, everything...) A well configured today will allow you to access time, calender, weather, phone, camera, internet, messaging, e-mail and so on all without extra menus or flipping through things.
Full screen QWERTY, is great except when looking through your contact list and pressing the "R" button. Only when in use in the contacts program does the "R" button act like the "send" button. Pressing the "R" button will dial the selected contact. None of the other input methods have this bug.
Installing the Titan stack that comes with the device causes random lockups requiring resets.
Battery life is terrible. From 6:00 am to 5:00 pm I have 50% or less on the battery with only a modicum of use.
Pulling out the keyboard while the device is loading something or receiving a message will lock up the device.

Other Thoughts: In many places the U.I. is outright clumsy. It being difficult to scroll without clicking on something, or just scroll without immediately going to the bottom or top of the page. In 8 years of using windows mobile devices I have never seen one as clumsy as this one.

Random slowdowns are worse and more common than on my HTC Touch. Even the menus are slower.
Now that I am done ragging on the device; it is a decent phone. Once you learn your way around the bugs it is quite nice to use. And far more versatile than an iphone. If you want a device that does it all you must chose the Touch pro (unless you don't want the physical keyboard, get a Touch HD).

4 out of 5 eggsthe good, the bad, and the ugly

Pros: Too numerous to list... Beautiful design, great layout, powerful graphics, etc...

Cons: The battery life is the biggest con. However, there's an extended battery available, with a replacement battery cover, but not from Sprint, though (why not?). Search the web for HTC Touch Pro extended battery and you can get one for about $60.

The software response tends to be somewhat sluggish at times. The keyboard is a little smallish but functional. Keyboard backlight tends to go out after a few seconds of non-use, so if you are typing in dim lilght or at night and pause for more than 5 or so seconds, you'll find yourself pressing random buttons to light up the keyes.

Other Thoughts: To see if you have EVDO REV.0 or REV.A dial ##778## to get to the management screen. Tap on the "View". You will see a table of values. At the bottom of the screen you will see "View Info", keyboard icon, and "Cancel". Click on "View Info". Select "Data Parameters" from the list. This will open a table with 2 lines: Packet dial string and Rev. A or Rev. 0. Mine had Rev. A Enable.

5 out of 5 eggsTouch Pro

Pros: been using this for a little ofer 2weeks and so far its been working great. 3D video is great with it. faster Direct Draw(2D) and D3D(3D) play back then the touch mogul or diamond.
Camera on this is amazing very clear great 3.2MP camera but after testing only about 2.9-3MP are effective. But can be changed also.(touch the far right of the screen to get into the settings. to take pics it the middle button on the right touch it to focus and click it to take the pic.)
internet is set to just REV0 not the high speed REVA at this time but can get changed by (calling SPRINT and asking for your MSL code for that phone then once done on the DIALER select ##778# and clicking EDIT then type in your MSL code and clicking on OK selecting DATA PARAMETERS then tapping and holding on REV.A and selecting a over button and clicking on ENABLE. now on the bottom right slect menu and then OK now it will say reset phone and you are all set up.)(do not touch anything else)

Cons: battery i get maybe a day if that with very little useage and that is full coverage. 6hour off the charger and its at 62% battery. Its very hard to unlock this phone to flash it at this time and you cant get updates yet because HTC makes you reg. the phone and you have to buy it from them directly to reg. it.
gps is slow but if changed in the Start>Settings>System>externalGPS>Hardware and where is says baud rate select 38500
Screen is on the top so it can get scratched easy but with insurance it will be free.

Other Thoughts: for watching movies in the setting of your player if you can select raw frame buffer it will speed your video up better.
make sure to get the insurance.
Iv listed more probs and less pros just because there are to many pros for this phone. the TouchFLO3d is very easy to use it is missing a COMM manager area but at the far right of the touch flow in the programs section you can add the comm manager there.
Hope this helps some people. its a great phone to mess around with but you should get a extra battery to be safe unless you are near a outlet all the time.
