If your flip phone is bluetooth compatible, then it should work. Not sure how easy since I had trouble hooking up my flip phone to a blue tooth headset back in the day.

how do you set it up?

1. Turn on the Bluetooth connection
on your phone and enable
the pairing mode of the Bluetooth
connection. Make sure your phone
and the Car Kit is no more than 3
feet apart.
2. Make sure the Car Kit is powered
off. Long press the MFB button of
the Car Kit for 6 seconds to enter
the pairing mode.
3. Your cellular phone will now start
to look for the Car Kit. When the
Car Kit is found, your phone will
display “GBHFK231” from the list
of devices, and you will be asked
to enter the pairing code. Enter
“0000” and press OK to establish
the connection.

will this work with an android phone?

Yes. It worked with my Droidx and currently works with my Samsung Note II. Works just like any bluetooth headset.

Question 4

Wondering how this handles winter and summer temps in the car?  I don't want to have to remember to bring it in the house.

I live in Virginia and bought mine in July, 2013.  I have left it in the car attached to the windshield since then.  So far, so good.  I haven't noticed any problems with the summer heat or the cold in what has turned into a very cold winter.

The suction cups have unstuck twice leaving the unit dangling from the windshield (but only one of them so it has never fallen) and I had to recharge it once.  Apparently, the solar panel really works.  (I use this at most a half hour per day during my commute and I'm only talking maybe 10 minutes of that at the most.  Where I park is usually sunny for about half the day.)

I have this device and have loved it. I have an iPhone 5c now and when I tried to sync it with my phone it didn't connect. Is there something I need to do?
