if device increases data rates u use more data?

We purchased several of these with great results.  They were purchased as a cell signal booster - and perform extremely well in that capacity.  We also have noticed that we do have a stronger data signal as well.  We do not use more data, just have more ease of access to it.  We work in remote areas and these have been a great investment for us - no more foreman driving 10 minutes from the jobsite to make a call.

I have an AT&t family plan and an old razor phone my brother gave me. Im in a very remoted area. And its extremely frustrating to come to a solution. There will be more towers put up in May of this year. will this booster work? I cant afford to toss $out the window. Im on cellcom right now to @$70.+per month til May and get some signal. Or go with $20. per month and have no signal.. Im thinking I will go with cellcom til then:( Unless there is a better idea

You do not know it until you really try. It improves signal, but not that much. I use it for hiking. It helps, but if you have no signal at all, it probably will no help. 
There are better boosters for car, but more expensive.
