5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Device

Pros: Works with AT&T "4G"

Cons: I was only able to get 5 bars of dialup with Verizon at the campground

Other Thoughts: We are in a campground with no cell service in the middle of no where, I put the antenna up on a 22 foot flag pole buddy system and went from no service to 5 bars of AT&T 4G service with internet download speeds between 2 and 4 mbps. Texting and phone calls all clear as crystal.

3 out of 5 eggsIt's a risk

Pros: Worked pretty well if you got it set up correctly. Have to get everything just right. Was able to use my phone in the house.

Cons: It died on me after 15 months. Now I'm back to being unable to use my phone in the house. Have to go outside to get a signal and sit in my car to use the phone if the weather is bad. Too bad it died right before winter. I don't like standing outside when it is freezing. All I have is a cell phone and it is bad for business when you can't use the phone. I don't think it is worth paying that much for it for it to last just over a year. Now I'm dropping calls all the time in the house if I can get a connection at all. It did work for a year.

Other Thoughts: Purchased 8/15/2010

4 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised

Pros: Basement office, no bars. Installed zBoost antenna in garage attic, ran cable to basement into mechanical room. Installed base unit. 5 bars. No dropped calls. Making money from the basement now. Don't have to go outside.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Recommended.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not live up to it's claims

Pros: compact

Cons: Does not live up to it's claims to boost signal indoors up to 2200 sq. ft.
Signal lighting system overly complicated and confusing

Other Thoughts: The unit boosted the signal only when it was within 5 feet of my laptop which defeated the purpose of a wireless booster. The signal lighting sequences were too complicated to monitor during set up - I had to keep referring to the lighting matrix from the manual to try and determine whether the antenna was too close, too far away, etc. Overall, it was a very frustrating experience.

1 out of 5 eggsWasted My Money

Pros: If you are looking for an expensive device that does nothing more than blink like an x-mas tree, this is it!

Cons: Does not boost anything except frustration.
They intentionally sell you the unit with a sub-par antenna so that when you call tech support, they tell you "oh well if you want coverage greater than 3 feet from the base station, buy a better antenna ($95) on top of the 300 I already paid for this junk box.

The upgrade antenna is a directional one, not omni directional. Again, this company does not use common sense.

The zBoost Says: "If you want to boost a signal, we should make it line of sight! yeah then up sell them another antenna to do it."

Standing next to it, with the antenna in my attic, and the base station in the basement (35ft vertical separation) it gives me +1 bars yet still drops my calls.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for an expensive device that does nothing more than blink like an x-mas tree, this is it!

This deserves nothing more than 0 eggs, perhaps 1 rotten one.

Dear zBoost: please go out of business and do society a favor, your not helping anyone by selling your warez.

4 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: Easy to set up. Can now get signal in most of the house, even parts of basement. Without booster, couldn't get any signal in the house.

Cons: None really, you just have to be sure you can get some service where the antenna is located. My house is in remote location with very marginal service, I have mounted the antenna on a mast.

3 out of 5 eggsFaulty Power supply

Pros: Does Amplify signal. Easy set up. Everything you need for normal operation is in the box.

Cons: Most people who need a cell signal booster will also probably need a directional antenna. On my unit, the power supply failed after only a month. The base unit is pretty fussy about its location relative to the antenna.

Other Thoughts: After owning the booster just over a month, the wall wart power supply failed. Newegg will not deal with me after 30 days, even for faulty equipment, so now I have to deal with the manufacturer for something as simple as the power supply. Shopping at newegg is becoming more troublesome all the time, and I believe I will just start buying more of these kinds of products from my local retailers.

2 out of 5 eggsThere are better options.

Pros: Works well if you have a good signal where you are placing the external antenna and a small area you want service. Example, a basement or something.

Cons: It really is not that powerfull, and it will not Boost the signal. Only 1/8th of a watt which is about if not less powerful than most cell phones. The best way to explain it would be to say it moves the signal through hard to penetrate walls and floors. There is no difference in using your phone in the area you put the unit and the spot in the house you put the unit's antenna.

Other Thoughts: I had one of these and it really did not work for me. I had 2 bars on the roof and none in my house. I tried this unit and could only get the 2 bars in my house next to the couch near where it was sitting. Since I have sold my zboost unit and purchased a 3 watt wilson. I installed a directional antenna on the roof and an antenna in the ceiling in my living room. There is a big difference. I get 5 bars in my living room plus 3 in the ajoining rooms. The system is just better and only costs a little more.

3 out of 5 eggsFrequent hard lock ups

Pros: Works well when it is working. I get 1- 4 bars when I used to get none. Cell calls work well through it.

Cons: Using my air card through it causes it to hard lock after 4-6 hours of use . I Have to hard reset it 2x a day

Other Thoughts: I have set up an rma with cradle point. Im sending it off this week. If I get one that works back I will be happy.

4 out of 5 eggsEasy install, works good eventually

Pros: Very simple install.

Cons: Bad power supply out of box.
Quickly replaced for free by manufacturer.

Other Thoughts: I live in a semi-rural area with marginal cell phone reception outside at ground level and almost none in the house. I set the unit up with the antenna on a pole about 20 feet above ground level on my roof. I now get 3-5 bars inside every part of my home. Overall, very pleased with the performance of this unit. We'll see how well it holds up over time.
