5 out of 5 eggsworks very well

Pros: portable size-works with most aircards with firmware-indicator lights are helpful-works on ac adapter if you want to use it indoors but remove the battery first to save it for portable use only

Cons: battery life is not very long-instructions are not low tech user friendly but most good techs should be able to figure it out-air card sticks out making the unit a little large overall. I can tuck it into my pocket and let the air card stick out. I just have to be careful not to break off the USB that is on a swivel.

Other Thoughts: I use 2 of these. One at home for travel and one at my office. I just take the air card back and forth with me. I would use this on the train but the battery life is limited to maybe a couple of hours. You can firmware the device to accept whatever air card you like. I use the Verizon 4G LTE and it works great. I have the CradlePoint Sprint PHS-556 but I loaded the Verizon firmware onto it. I could always change it back to the Sprint firmware if I want to but it's working fine this way.

2 out of 5 eggsCheap & Unreliable

Pros: Unit was cheap - via newegg S/Shocker
Model#: PHS300
- excellent unit = for sharing "internet" in hotels that charge you for 'wireless' and yet WIRED interent is FREE
(strange but true for lots of Asian Countries)

Cons: NOT ALL are qualified as true GSM carriers - and yet the =wide range of carrier 'hardwares" that i have didnt work ( travel international daily)

Other Thoughts: should be nice unit - if the specs listed worked
- united suddenly didnt 'transmit' singals in some countries ..... (wth same GSM adaptors)
- but worked in another ASIAN COUNTRY

1 out of 5 eggsCompatibility Issues

Pros: Great idea, strong signal, potential big bucks saver. Potential to connect multiple devices.

Cons: May not work with your phone. Doesn't support my Motorola Photon. Connects, but no internet access.

Other Thoughts: Check on their website for compatibility with your device. I called Cradlepoint customer support to see if there was a work-around, but no luck.

3 out of 5 eggsWorked well with VZ 4G LTE and now a brick

Pros: Worked well with Verizon 4G LTE on LG usb stick

Cons: 4 months later it won't turn on, no light when plugged into power

Other Thoughts: Not really sure how the product came to be dead, there is a small possibility I may have pluged the wrong power adapter in.

Unit heats up when plugged in but the charge light does not come on and 0 power from battery. Call to Cradlepoint was picked up within a minute and I was told once they get the item replacement will ship in 2-3 days which is fairly quick. Looking forward to using this unit once again.

5 out of 5 eggsworks like a charm

Pros: easy as pie!
cradlepoint has detailed firmware instructions & information online.
small & mobile 4-3/4 x 2-7/8 & 3/4 thick.
does come with battery/power adapter.
has a reset hole in battery compartment.
holds a charge for 2 hours or so.
charges quickly, about 30 minutes
full size USB slot
looks good

Cons: no usb cable
gets a bit warm
very small size instruction manual in box (needed a magnifying glass to read)
no carry case, although they sell one online at cradlepoint (outrageous price)

Other Thoughts: updated to the latest firmware version with a flash-drive, inserted the AT&T usb dongle and Shazam i was there....too easy!
disabled login, set up my security & passwords, no prob
bought 3 extra batteries, so i'm good for 8 hrs on the go.
might buy another one just to stash.
works great with my Iview 760 tablet.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a charm

Pros: Fast easy setup, simple firmware update, wide modem compatibility

Cons: 3 1/2 hrs of battery life...not sure if that is a con, but since I need one...that's my only complaint.

Other Thoughts: Works just as advertised. If you're looking for some "wonder product", don't complain about this device. Check your cellular throughput before you decide to bash the device.

4 out of 5 eggsTravel Hotspot

Pros: 1. Works as advertised
2. After set-up, turn it on and all my Wi-Fi devices connect automatically
3. My company pays for an unlimited data plan on my Blackberry 9650
4. This pass week-end while away from Home connected my Laptop, my wife's iPad 2, and my Grandson's Kindle Fire

Cons: Slow - Although this is not due to the Cradlepoint PHS300, but rather
the slow speed of the Blackberry 9650 modem

Other Thoughts: If you are connecting to a Blackberry make sure you enter your phone's password at the appropriate time

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Works great. I dont run it on batteries for too long just because its always connect to power when I use it. I use it with a Sprint Card 3G/4G.

Cons: single from WeeFee is not as strong as it could be.

Other Thoughts: If you need battery get it but if not get the CradlePoint CTR35. It has USB, Ethernet and Wireless N.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks with Blackberry Torch (9800) and AT&T

Pros: If you are familiar with home internet routers from Cisco, D-Link, etc., setting up this router up is a snap. The real trick is getting your phone/mobile modem device to communicate with it, which usually takes some typing and research. Search the Cradlepoint knowledgebase for instructions on how to configure the router to communicate properly with your device.

What surprised me was how configurable the Cradlepoint was. Lots of options including network filtering and power saver modes (to increase battery life).

Cons: None really other than the extra effort it took me to get it talking with my Blackberry Torch 9800. It would have been nice to have some pre-configured settings for my phone and mobile provider.
