5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!!!!!!

Pros: I can Use My unlimited iphone data plan to get 3g wherever Im at with no extra monthly fee !

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Guys It literally took me 4 minutes to get this thing up and running out of box ! I am soo excited I can now use my laptop anywhere. You have to download the old version of ATT Communication manager and follow nstuctions found on the internet before you plug this thing in. Do not use any new version or call att for help they will only mess you up, unless you WANT to pay them an extra 60 $ per motnh.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes work with Iphone data plan

Pros: This modem is unlocked and works as advertised (see other thoughts)

Cons: Took awhile to figure out.

Other Thoughts: To get this to work with an iphone data plan do not use the at&t connection manager that comes with it. DL the generic one from Options website, this connection manager lets you put in your own APN settings. Once you have this and have the proper APN settings it works like a charm with an unlimited Iphone data plan.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not work

Pros: None

Cons: Will not work.

Other Thoughts: Bought this for a trip out of state. Wanted to drop my iPhone SIM card into it to use my data plan for the phone on AT&T's 3G network. But even though I was able to see the network I was not able to make a connection once. This item may not be "unlocked" as advertised and was returned to Newegg.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks as designed

Pros: Works with any cellular SIM card - its unlocked.
Windows 7 supported - go to the manufactures web site to get the connectino software for Windows and for Mac. if ATT software is on the stick it will work with other providers as well - you just need to know what to cinfigure.. APN UID and PWD as required.. works with Linux Ubuntu 9.10 server out of the box .. like a charm!

Cons: no external Antenna - however with an USB extension

Other Thoughts: Function and services provided in regards of data connections etc. are limited by the contract/functino and features of the SIM. If you have not signed up for a data plan then this will not magically provide data access.
Ubuntu Desktop 9.10 currently has a bug - once you plug this stick in Ubuntu 9.10 will hang...

2 out of 5 eggsNot For Me

Pros: Good idea if it worked being able to use your SIM card to get wireless internet.

Cons: Software did not load when I placed the card in my USB drive. I had to load it from the AT&T's wesite. Instructions are poor if you have a non AT&T web service. So although it is true that you can use another provider's SIM card, be prepared to start googling for hours for answers.

Other Thoughts: After many hours of fiddling with this, I gave up. I discovered that I only have a web service for my phone via T-Mobile. It does not work. So I could not even connect to the internet to try this. Beware. I needed to have the premium web service for the All-In-One devices for this Internet card to work. I did not feel like forking up another 30 bucks to my cell phone company. I RMA it.
