about 3-4 feet, but you know, you can always extend it by simply cutting it and connecting an extended one, if the regular extension cord doesn't work for you

Hi I have a very stupid question to ask (please forgive me for my ignorance).

I have Comcast/Xfinity wifi in my home. I initially thought that I can just buy this camera and use it. But then Comcast told me I have to buy Xfinity home security (which is about $40 a month) to use my own home security camera. So if I didn't buy xfinity home security service, there is no way I can use this camera once I leave my local wireless environment. Is that right? Please let me know, and please forgive my ignorance!

You don't have to buy the Xfinity Home Security.But yo need technical knowledge to get this working. It's not plug and play camera.

1. Connect the camera to your modem/router via ethernet cable that comes with it.
2. Find what default IP address that comes with the camera and type it in a web browser where you usually type in website address then hit enter.
From there you can go Live view the camera or got o the "Setup" at the top, and set up your camera.

I don't recommend this camera to anyone who is not a technical user.
And for that price, I definitely would not recommend this camera.

Can this be used to broadcast on the web?

As long as your router and ISP will support this, and all the people you want to be able to view the feed have the app, camera ID and login credentials, then yes.

How do I place voice activated sound alerts on to the micro-SD card?

All the files on the SD Card, including sounds, are managed via the web interface. The app (EdiLife) allows you to trigger the sound being played but they are just being played in order rather than on demand.
