3 out of 5 eggsOK Entry Level System

Pros: Complete package for a home camera system. DVR has had no issues to date for a year now. The software is simple to use.

Cons: After 6 moths two of the bullet cameras night vision quit working. I sent them back to the manu. and got replacements in about 3 weeks. One of the returns still did not work right? They were less than helpfull. I was unable to get the mobil viewing to work, this may be due to my firwall setting though. I gave up trying to get it to work after a couple days, and never tried again. The mouse it came with quits working after awhile. It will not work again until the system is rebooted.

Other Thoughts: Overall ok system, if on sale. I am replaceing cameras one at a time already for better ones. Put your own system together if you have the time to do some research.

4 out of 5 eggsMy Review A-BR18B4-E

Coming Soon!

Pros: Start off saying that this setup is great for beginners and you should not have any issues setting this up yourself.

I think the night viewing is superior very good quality.

Daytime footage is fair so if you want good quality viewing try keeping the camera as straight leveled as possible ( see cons )

Mounting the bullet cameras was a breeze ( see cons )

A laptop and/or cellphone is wonderful while setting up the cameras, have the DVR setup first so you can watch the cameras when positioning to watch what you are doing to get the right spot the first time. " teamwork "

Cons: Setup is important (meaning do not have it up on the roof pointing down at a subject because it will just be pixelated, try to have it directly level I would say no more than 5 feet above a subject.

Mounting the bullet cameras was a breeze but... the plastic washer that holds the camera to the mounting bracket becomes loose so be careful when trying to rotate it in position because it may drop out.

Square Camera Mounting bracket is just garbage its designed to be pointed up apparently unless you mount is sideways and rotate the bracket then it will point down( but doing that will stop you from rotating left and right, so with this camera you must point it from the ground up or point it straight forward ( this cameras viewing is 2x the magnification of the bullet cameras in this set so really nice and crisp.

Other Thoughts: There are some similar $599 packages on here by Aposonic ( This one is the best choice ) The reason why is because of the 650 TVL CCD Cameras - the other listings have cheaper cameras at 480 TVL but you get a bigger hard drive that is not necessary at all you can just install a bigger one yourself ) which is no big deal, There is a huge difference between 480TVL and 650TVL

I have made a little video sample of what the cameras look like and the quality, Hope you enjoyed this review.

1 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: Easy to install.

Cons: Well now that I have owned this for a while I can tell you do not waste your money. So far I have had to replace three of the cables and one of the power supply.I have also replace some of the cameras. Reason being these cameras are ok if you are standing a few feet in front of it but a total waste after that. Night time you might as well turn it off.The picture in the manual is very misleading. What I mean by that is they show a wide view of a area that is being view, but trust me they doctored it up to look good. You will never get a clear picture like that on this unit. You also cannot adjust the focus or matter of fact anything. Cameras you can't adjust to correct the angle or focus is really not worth buying. As far as the DVR, the only plus thing I can think of is it has a extra large hard drive. Another thing is most customers in this day and time have HDMI connection on the TV. This unit doesn't because it is a cheaper model.

Other Thoughts: I have found out since buying a security system you would be better off to buy a decent DVR and all cameras separate. For a few dollars more when buying all the cameras and DVR you will get a better security system. Surf the Internet and join some of the forum and you will see what I mean. I am slowly replacing each camera with this system. It would be cheaper in the long run to just buy a dummy camera instead of this system. I hope Newegg will post this to stop others from making the same mistake I made.

5 out of 5 eggsNice system

Pros: Very easy to hook up and install. Camera's are built well.

Cons: The mounting brackets are the pits because to mount under your roof eves you have to make a bracket to hold their bracket.

Other Thoughts: One of the cables were bad from the start. Newegg wanted me to package up the complete system and ship it back and they would send me another system. Good grief, for a bad cable???? I contacted Aposonic and they shipped me a replacement cable. One note I would like to make. They have outstanding customer support which goes a long way with me. I had the pleasure of talking with Nelson and he walked me through the complete Ipad and I phone set up and also took the time to explain why I was having the problems. The first guy I talked with gave me the correct info for installing the programs to get each one to work. When I emailed me about the cable being bad they also responded very fast and and got another shipped out. What more could any customer really ask.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat product

Pros: Wow! I bought this kits as an upgrade for my old system, and the picture quality is much more better than the old one. I have the bigger camera shooting for the long range and the rest pointing at the surrounding of my house. 650 TV-Line is a beast! Crystal clear video quality and affordable price, I don't know what else I can ask for. The DVR system features many standard and advanced settings. It is so much more flexible than the one I previously have (and I don't want to mention how bad it was from the brand I had before). Their mobile app also runs great on my Droid phone and IPad. With my unlimited data plan, I can log in to my DVR anytime anywhere, and the video quality is just as great! I just love this system, and the cutting-edge 650 TV-Line cameras that come with it!

Cons: None I can think of now.

Other Thoughts: Use IE or their software for remote access. Firefox, Chrome and Safari only give limited access, in other words, no settings to play with when log in using browsers other than I.E.
