4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I ordered this player as a replacement after I received a defective Toshiba Blu-ray Player. Unit was easy to initially setup. Connects and utilizes my home media server (using Microsoft’s Media Player) without any issues, even my MP4’s which my PS3 can’t handle. Fast loading, easy to navigate, USB in front, sweet.

Cons: Can’t really call this a con but I thought when I purchased it that it was wireless, doh, but I liked what I saw so far. So I ordered a refurbished NETGEAR WN2000RPT-100NAR Universal WiFi Range Extender (Also from Newegg) and hooked it up, problem solved. A plus for that device to.

Other Thoughts: You would think by now all these devices would be wireless and that wired would be the optional feature, this is the reason I didn't give it a five.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent, but I will return it

Pros: Thin, sexy, full featured, plays mkv through windows media player dlna streaming server. Very affordable.

Cons: Poor Hulu support, slow interface, remote bites

Other Thoughts: I may be spoiled since I attempted to replace a small HTPC with this device and expect so much. Pressing hulu, waiting 10 seconds, pressing the show I want, waiting 10 seconds, etc etc was just too slow.

In the end, it never actually played hulu shows, only the ad first, then "loading". Ran the firmware update, but it didn't make a difference.

Like I say, it's not bad, but it's slower than I expected by a lot.

Cons: will not play home authorized blu ray movies

Other Thoughts: have samsung players that will play home made blu ray but sony and now lg is abandoning this. if you plan on making your on movie from whatever source. and authorizing a blu ray disk sony and now lg will not play them. plays mkv alright but not playing homemade is a bummer.Bd-c6500 samsung the firmware upgrade kill my ff/rew function with mkv so still looking for that perfect player
