Pros: Great Sound Great Features Great Price (502.99) out the door! You just won't find the quality and value that Onkyo provides for a HTIB. My buddy has a Yamaha receiver and Klipsch speakers and he paid $1300.00 dollars and can't believe I only paid $500.00 and have 7.1, HD DTS sound, 4 Hdmi input 1 Output. You don't need optical cable for sound because this receiver can do both high def sound and 1080p thru HDMI, makes setup very simple.
Cons: None. Well I would definitely get at least 16 gauge HD speaker wire, the wire they provide is pretty weak, but that's nothing I would really consider a con. Nothing a trip to Radio Shack can't fix.
Other Thoughts: Get it, you just won't find a system that offers the features, quality and price for this kind of money in a HTIB.

Pros: + Amazing sound details - excellent sound processor + Woofer producing good bass + Maintains perfect balance of sound quality for different modes: Music, Movies, Games (This you find not in all HTIBs) + Full HDMI support (both audio and video). + Music: * The detailed original sound from every instrument is great * Very good voice level and quality * The drums and the bass guitar sound is very real. + Movies/Games: * Nice voice clarity * Explosion, gunshots, accident sounds are great
Cons: - Not the best looking overall - Could have had a better display - Auto calibration reduces bass (so I turned down the woofer before calibrating and it is much better) - Expensive - Neighbors are not happy
Other Thoughts: * Heavy! 70lb * It warms up a bit, but I live in Buffalo so that is not a problem...,lol * I noticed a little delay (may be in few milliseconds) when I connect and play my Yamaha keyboard. Then I turned down something like sych settings and it is much better. * So far I am satisfied

Disclaimer: This is not a complete review as I am using the product for 2 weeks only. I ordered 6 speaker stands and I need to set it up and have to observe surround effects more. Most probably I'll update this in a month or so.

Cons: Not exactly a con- as other reviews have stated, this unit runs very hot. However, the manual states this also. At first it made me nervous as the nook that houses the unit is tight. However having it exposed or recessed in the nook caused little temperature fluxuation. The unit is spec'd for it and I have read no issues with heat failure, so do not be set off or made nervous by this reality.
Other Thoughts: All I can say is the unit is amazing. I came from a low end early model Sony surround unit and the difference blows my mind. I am not an audiophile, but have a sharp ear. Prior to buying, I relied on reviews, testimonials and specs. I talked to brick and mortar sales persons who said in the price range, they could not offer a comparable unit with features and performance. They stated they carried Onkyo in the white room, but not their theaters in a box. I read online reviews by audiophiles. All pretty much stated same- for features, price and performance, the 6200 and 7200 models cant be beat. I couldnt agree more.
Setup: I have a large open floor plan and despite the size, I went with the 5.1 setup with front L&R high speakers (so 7.1). I tried both setups- true 7.1 and front high 7.1 and appreciated the additional fronts more and the effects they caused over the additional sides. Pros: Real easy to hook up, and we did not use the enclosed wire. I bought #14 speaker wire for all speakers! What Great Sound!!
Cons: When I mounted the speakers, the mount partially covered the wire connectors. A bit of re-adjusting too care of that.
Other Thoughts: ONKYO should send #14 wire in the kit so we customers don't have to go by it!

Pros: -Great shipping from Newegg. I got the system just three days after ordering with free shipping! -Sounds incredible. It is the best sounding system I have ever heard. The bass is low and the treble is clear and crisp. -Listening to music is a completely different experience with this sound system, and it is very easy to do with the included iPod dock. -In movies, the dialogue is clear and understandable, and the explosions and gunshots of action movies are huge! -Ridiculous to watch sporting events and play video games because you can hear things never before heard while watching! You can hear the players yell and bone crunching hits are very fun to hear. -The 6200 makes it very easy to connect other components through HDMI because you do not need to worry about optical audio cables to pass through. -Easy set up with the included microphone. Just set the microphone where the main seating position will be and hit enter and the system maximizes the sound for you!
Cons: -Speaker cable provided with the system is fairly weak and, in my case, not long enough. -Unable to listen to my iPod through the speakers while playing PS3. I did not really expect this from the system, but it would have been an awesome feature. -Speakers may be a little large for some, but they don't bother me a bit. I would rather have incredible sound than smaller speakers.
Other Thoughts: Definitely buy this system if you are considering it! Onkyo has superior sound, and this 7.1 system is perfect! Best sound quality I've heard, with very easy setup. By including audio in the HDMI, the 6200 is easier to connect than the 5200, and makes it worth the extra money.
