If you‘re into quality home entertainment, you‘ll know about KEF‘s KHT2005 system - the original won so many awards and 5-star ratings that it would be hard not to. The new KHT2005.3 K1 is the latest incarnation of KEF’s KHT2005 home theatre system. Complete with four compact die-cast satellites, matched center and powerfully compact KUBE-1 subwoofer this dynamic system transforms watching television into a cinematic experience.

But even rave reviews can‘t prepare you for the experience of listening to the latest version of this high performance system. Those distinctive cast aluminum enclosures house KEF‘s unique Uni-Q arrays combined with sophisticated metal dome tweeters to deliver vocals that make your hair stand on end. As before, audiophile quality components are fitted throughout - and with KEF‘s Uni-Q, everyone in the room enjoys the same superbly detailed sound image wherever they are sitting.

SATELLITE AND CENTRE SPEAKERS The cast aluminum enclosures of the satellite speakers are computer optimized to minimize internal resonance and distortion for a purer, cleaner sound. Being identical, there‘s a perfect tonal match between the front and rear surround speakers and the center channel. The center speaker can also be placed horizontally for better placement above or below the TV. Plus, the ingenious multidirectional base has been improved and now makes it even easier to place satellite speakers virtually anywhere - on any flat surface, at any angle on walls, or on the optional stands. As they‘re fully magnetically shielded, there‘s no risk of interference with other equipment nearby.
SUBWOOFER – KUBE 1 A compact and yet high performing subwoofer, the KUBE-1 provides a powerful and precise bass whether for the latest action packed blockbuster or the rhythmic sounds of that favourite CD. The sealed cabinet is designed to be space saving and yet the 200W on board amplifier which powers both the 200mm (8in.) long-throw bass driver and the 200mm (8in.) ABR (Active Bass Reflex) provides a performance that belies its size.
Uni-Q KEF’s ‘sit anywhere’ Uni-Q driver places the tweeter in the acoustic center of the bass/midrange cone (woofer). This allows both woofer and tweeter to act as a single, focused source of sound that is dispersed widely and evenly throughout the room. The practical benefit is that great sound can be experienced from anywhere in the listening environment removing the "sweet spot" effect.

But not by a lot, and the design compensates for that. Plus you get the high quality sound. Other Thoughts: These puppies sound way way better than those other cubes...
