Polk's Monitor Series has been the gold standard of speakers since the 1970's. The CS1 center channel is a perfect accompaniment with accurate sound with strong bass and exception aural imaging. Polk made the enclosures out of MDF to be uniform in density and not resonate. They've also included ¾" thick baffles to help produce clear lifelike sound.

The two 5.25" cones are made from a bi-laminate composite for an optimal balance of weight and rigidity. The small driver delivers a wide open sound and exceptional responsiveness. The 1" tweeter is a fabric/polymer composite the responds swiftly to the high efficiency Neodymium magnet. The crossovers between the drivers use Mylar bypass capacitors to let all of the details in the higher frequencies shine through.

No matter how good they sound, they have to look good too. Their contemporary look compliments today's flat panel televisions and modern decorating styles. They are magnetically shielded so you can place them near your electronics.

Brings you into the conversation of a movie or makes you feel like you are at a live concert when listening to music. Cons: A little big but it still fits OK. Pros: I upgraded from a Yamaha Center Channel (Dual 5" Woofer and 1" tweeter), I was having issues understanding voices with the Yamaha. With this, all voices were clear and understandable. I also set this speaker side by side test with a Klipsch Center Channel (same specs as the Polk) and the Polk definitely is clearer. Great movie tester is transformers, when watching this movie the first, 30x, the Transformers were hard to understand, with the Polk, I was able to easy understand every word they said. Pros: I bought the CS1 [Mid/Woofer: 2 - 5.25" Diameter] for the family HT center because of price/name and was impressed. Needed to hear the CS2 [2 - 6.5" Diameter] and bought it. Sounds Great, more depth but slightly lower output resolved by upping center chanel output. Bought second CS1 and use it with other as main pair in computer room.
