Polk's PSW10 powered subwoofer is designed to match with their Monitor Series speakers. The compact enclosure is made from non-resonant MDF with 0.75" internal baffling and bracing for rock solid performance with superlative detail and accuracy.

The voice coil of the 10" driver is perfectly centered in its magnetic field for deep bass with no distortion. The built in amplifier has a 50W continuous output with 100W of peak power. An overall 35Hz to 200Hz frequency response is attenuated by an adjustable 80Hz to 160Hz crossover so you can tune the output to match the rest of your speakers.

The back panel has both line level and speaker level inputs so you can use the PSW10 with virtually any amplifier. There is also a phase switch for additional fine tuning of the sound. The "auto" selection on the power switch lets the subwoofer turn itself off after 15 minutes of no signal and turn itself back an almost instantaneously, leaving you free to enjoy the music and not worry about turning things on and off.

Pros: Cabinet is solidly constructed with a quality finish on the veneer. Inputs and controls are hi-fi grade. Amp runs cool and draws reasonable power for the level of output. Solid, tight bass across the musical spectrum.

Absolutely stupid cheap @ $99.99 with free shipping. If you want a sub for your home theater, this is what you buy. Heck, get two if you want an extra few dB.
Cons: I had to take it out of the box.

Pros: The purpose of the sub is to add and not distract from the main speakers and let them to their job. This sub does just that. Not intrusive and if set right will complement and add a smooth bass to the music. I had my favorite jazz cd on and it delivered with no boominess. For 99.00 and free shipping from New Egg how can you go wrong. Buy this today!!
Cons: Zero, none, notta. Should have bought this a long time ago.

I like my bass !

Pros: I was pleasantly surprised when I heard it at a local retailer that charged twice the price as NewEgg. I used Polk on everything except my two big front speakers.
Cons: Gives good bass and only once had trouble keeping up with my 15"'s ( see below ) when I had it cranked for a wild Sci-Fi flick.
Other Thoughts: My 5.1 system - Sony amp. 100 watts per channel, fronts are 3 way with 15" woofers, rears are Polk OWM3 and Center is Polk CS20.
As usual prompt delivery from NewEgg !

Pros: Price is excellent, performance is good but not great.
Cons: This unit provides good low end body at reasonable levels but has quite a bit of port noise.... If you are looking for transparent low end punch step up to a higher end sub.
