4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Value Speakers

Pros: Well Constructed, good sound from older 5.1 receiver in stereo mode. Full range sounds better with excite eq. otherwise sound is a bit flat.

Cons: Larger than I thought they would be, but the company cant be blamed for me not reading the speaks

Other Thoughts: Using these as computer speakers, good at low volume.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat speakers

Pros: Great speakers for $40 (normally $100-$200). I needed rear speakers and I didn't want something that sounded like a tin can (sony)

Cons: No mounting info on the website or in the manual. Best thing I found is that you can use the bass port in the back of the speakers to mount them but it doesn't say what kind of mount. There are plenty of universal mounts on Amzn so I will figure something out.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Bookshelfs

Pros: Very crisp highs
Great looking speaker set

Cons: A little larger than expected

Other Thoughts: I was very impressed with this set of bookshelf speakers. I currently have the CS1 center, 12" PSW sub, two Monitor60s, and now these bookshelfs all powered by a Pioneer 820 receiver. Before I had a pair of Sony bookshelfs I bought at Circuit City when they were going out of business. I had no idea how bad they were until I got these bad boys installed. The surround sound has been taken to a new level thanks to these. I had my little brother over the other day to play some Call of Duty and was just amazed how you could hear bullet casings and richochets so clearly. If anyone is looking for a sound system setup, look no further than Polk. I live an in afluent neighborhood and everybody has a Bose, Martin Logan, or Energy and mine is by far the best sounding set up I've ever heard. Not to mention the black on black is sexy. Cannot beat this system for the money (especially with Newegg's sales) I promise you that.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat sound from small package

Pros: Excellent sound for bookshelf speakers.Clear highs and not too muddy.

Cons: None if you consider the price and the size of these small bookshelfs.

Other Thoughts: Been a fan of Polk speakers since my HP 300Mhz desktop came with a set. These speakers sound really good considering their size, they'll sound even better when hookup to a sub.Jumped on this when it was less that 1/4 the list price.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic!

Pros: I bought these on sale as an impulse buy and own speakers from several different brands. I wasn't expecting much, although I couldn't believe what I was hearing after hooking these up in my second home theater as the main front speakers. These speakers sound very natural, warm, and smooth. I have them connected to mid grade Onkyo 7.2 surround sound receiver and in stereo mode it sounds like I'm listening to a much more expensive system with tubes. These sound better than any other set of speakers I have tried in this room and cost the least amount of money. The piano sounds amazing with these and gives me goose bumps listening to them! Totally satisfied with my purchase... Thanks Newegg and Polk Audio!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Polk Audio sounds amazing with an Onkyo Receiver. It's like they was meant to be together...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: New comer to audio. I purchased these because they were on an amazing sale. I am using these for my rear surround speakers and they sound great. My new receiver should be showing up next week when I'll be able to really see what they can do, but even on my 15 year old Sony receiver they have a great sound.

Cons: None yet

5 out of 5 eggsGreat bookshelf speakers for not much $$.

Pros: Price, styling, rich sound

Cons: Not key-holed for wall mounting.

Other Thoughts: I own a pair of both the R150 and T15 Polk bookshelf speakers. After comparing both sets I've came away giving the edge to the R150's. This is right out of the box, so I'm sure they will only get better once broken in after a couple of weeks use.

Really have nothing bad to say about these other than no wall mounting built it. They sound great for medium sized bookshelf speakers, with enough bass to get by, but of course most any speaker this size would be greatly enhanced by a subwoofer. If you are looking for some Polk surround speakers, these would be a great choice. I would pick these over the Monitor 30's that are over 2X the price.

I'm using these right now as a 2.1 system connected to a Harman Kardon AVR1700, connected to my PC. Will be moving these to rear surround duty on my 7.1 system in due time. Right now I'm enjoying them very much in 2.1 with a small subwoofer. Highly recommended for both surrounds or for a 2.1 PC setup.

4 out of 5 eggsMy Near Field Speakers

Pros: Tight bass. Clear treble. Amazing for $65.

Cons: Lightweight bottom needing EQ.

Other Thoughts: I have them next to my monitor at nearly ear level, tweeter on top. It seems like they are equalized for being on the wall, which gives bass boost (omnidirectional bass can't go behind the speaker, not reaching the ear except as reflected off walls).

I gave them 10 db at 31hz and 9 db at 60hz. They take it fine! May have long-throw,big magnet woofers - though Taiwanese maybe (those aren't European but can be pretty nice). Bass not flabby. Big tight kicks from them when the program has them.
I have treble hearing loss so gave them a massive treble boost.

Using Creative X-Fi with crystalizer (de-softens compressed material) at 5%, 3D at 10%. Quite neat. Very lively. Lots of fun, for music & video. Instruments seem live and well located in stereo. You can kind of tell it's a speaker box but sometimes you forget and think you're listening to instruments & voices.

Good that they have the Mylar caps on the tweeters instead of the cheaper liquid ones. A project would be to replace those with metallized polypropylene for even nicer treble. Mylar sounds a bit flat by comparison. I think that's what I keep hearing. But, $65 speakers with Mylar is quite excellent.

Sometimes I switch to straight FM from the receiver they're powered by, and it's ok, though it sounds like a smudge by comparison to the hyped up X-Fi. I can stream the same stuff, though, and then it's much better.

All in all, if you're broke and want some near field hi-fi speakers for your PC, these are great.

Might not be as great down at desk level, sound reflecting off the desk, and -- well, I don't know what listening angle the woofer-tweeter crossover blend is engineered for, but I'm assuming straight on, so if they're below the listener, there would be a dip at the crossover region. It's probably way up in the lower treble, though, probably the 3000 hz region. One could always eq it.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty good deal

Pros: Got them for 49$ to put in my garage. Sound is great for just a pair of bookshelves.

Cons: A little bigger than I thought but doesn't really matter.

Other Thoughts: Waited for them to go on sale... seems they're out of stock and price is back up to 129$... I'd wait until it drops again.
