5 out of 5 eggsBang for the Buck

Pros: Beautiful design, clear sound, quality.

Cons: Cheap plastic wall mounts, one came broken, the other cracked, Contacted Polk numerous time with no answer or call back to replaced my wall mounts.

Other Thoughts: Buy better wall mounts.

4 out of 5 eggsVery nice upgrade

Pros: Not the audiophile but these speakers are way superior to my Logitech z4 2.1 (the children custom mod'd the z4 by punching out the diaphragms)
RM8 sound very good indeed for a 99$ Black Friday deal. I'm rockin' some euphoria right now. And the wife who is the Audiophile in this family says they sound good also....

Cons: The wire retention closed gap will not hold 22+ Gauge wire. Had to crimp a connector to accept the Z4 wiring. Size and shape are little different to most desktop speakers I've seen. I'm stretching though, these are good speakers.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality, Value, Performance

Pros: I was very impressed with these speakers. I run a 7.2 surround sound and I use these as my side middle speakers and they are perfect with the two directional sound. They fill the room beautifully with a wide range of notes and sounds for movies and music.

Cons: I've had these for a good 6 months and have yet to find something they can't do.

Other Thoughts: You can't beat this value. These may not have the best wire connectors but you have to spend a whole lot more to get speakers with that and I don't see the point. Save yourself the money and just get these, there's no reason not too.

5 out of 5 eggsnice surround sound speakers

Pros: Nice size with good sound.

Cons: Could have provided more instructions. A simple exploded view would have been nice. I suspect that some folks with less mechanical sense won't necessarily figure out how you mount these things.

5 out of 5 eggsSound Great

Pros: Lows are adequate, clarity is quite nice. Awesome spatial distribution of sound.

Cons: Kinda sorta but not really a con: Heavy. Very dense. This is all well and good until a drunk buddy knocks it over and it nearly smashes through the end table glass. (Really though these got some heft which is awesome)

Other Thoughts: Makes the low end of energy weapons in Halo: Reach pop and soar past your face. Pretty impressive. These were purchased as the first satellites, so I cannot compare them to having any previously. They do sound great though. These would perform just fine as the front channel speakers as well.
Other reviewers mentioned it being difficult to get speaker wire connected, I had no issue with 14G.

5 out of 5 eggsHi Fi

Pros: These speakers are an extraordinary value, I purchased them for 149.99 with a code that brought them to 99.99. I have a yamaha receiver that throws 140 watts their way and I've yet to hear them distort, and I like metal, and loud. They mingle nicely with my Klipsch Synergy and Advent Pro100 mains, and my Klipsch SW450 sub and Polk Audio CS10 Center. They were the missing ingredient. I'm very impressed with Polk, they just seem to get it, from timbre matching to quality.

Cons: No cons, I like the small form factor/big sound and they lend an essence of class to my surround system, very good looking speakers.

Other Thoughts: As for the people that decided to knock an egg off for the speaker connections, I've hung mine on my media room walls with 12 gauge wire and yes, it was a mighty tight fit, but I have absolutely no worry they'll come loose, the clamp is well made and fits on the wire like clamp, just like the old days. DO NOT let these reviewers skew your choice, for the money, I've heard nothing better, period.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Home Theater Addition

Pros: Added to home theater to update from 5.1 to 7.1. Good sounding and the design and speaker placement provide a good/full rear sound field. On special the price was right and easily these were much better than anything else priced anywhere near them.

Cons: Not in love with the wire connections, but if wall mounted the speaker wire is supported and does not present a loss of connection problem.

Other Thoughts: The connection situation was minor and represented a half egg deduction. Actual rating is 4.5. The addition of these relatively inexpensive speakers have definitely added to our home theater.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent and small.

Pros: The surrounds are relatively small at about 8" high. The wall-mount brackets are easy to install. The sound quality is fine -- I didn't get them for audiophile purposes. I wanted modestly priced, and attractive, dedicated surround satellite speakers. These fit the bill nicely.

Cons: Speaker-terminals are the spring-clip kind. I used 13-gauge speaker wire. It was difficult to get them inserted 'just right' 14-gauge is probably the comfortable maximum.
