4 out of 5 eggsDoes the Job

Pros: This sound system does the job it was meant to, for me. When I purchased it, I didn't expect it to blast its way to music heaven. I bought it to provide music around the house and outside my camper trailer. Last summer, while camping, my friend and I tried to test the signal strenght of the transmitter and see how far away we could go with the speakers (battery powered) before losing the sound. With a clear line of sight to the camper, we walked away and could get music on the speaker roughly about 180 to 200 feet away before having too much static interfere with it. Pretty Cool....

Cons: Not being able to start the speaker system with the remote is somewhat annoying. Also, in order to adjust the sound on the individual speakers, you pretty much have to be in line with the IR sensors. Re-designing the sensor pick-ups on the speakers horizontally and making them longer would help alleaviate this issue.

Other Thoughts: Once the system's shortcomings are understood, I would say it does the job for an average user like myself.

4 out of 5 eggsTwo speakers but NOT stereo

Pros: I have the same model made by Element. Overall they are very good. The radio transmitter lets you know when there is an active sound source and when it is transmitting. The speakers sound fine, not audiophile quality by any means, but they sound fine. The range is at least 20 feet outside my brick house. That's as far as I have used them. From the quality of the signal, I would expect they will go much further. They work just fine inside with no conflicts with cordless phones, router or other electronic stuff. Since they are not stereo, you can use each speaker in different rooms with no loss of sound content.

Cons: If you want stereo, these will not meet your needs. Each speaker puts out the same combined channels. Manual for the Element brand was poorly written and confusing. Other posters here say the same for this brand. Not a big deal, but these are NOT plug and play. You will need to fool around a little to get them working. since the manual is not that user friendly. The LCD on the transmitter is a little bright. Some have noted that the speakers do not come on using the remote. That is correct and what a design flaw. You can turn them off, kind of, and you can increase and decrease the volume fine. But if you put these somewhere that is not easy to reach, you won't be able to turn them on. Not a deal breaker for me, but could mean they won't work for you.

Other Thoughts: Not sure if these are built well enough to let stay outside in the weather. The manual says you must unplug the power converters (if used instead of batteries) if left out side. Kind of makes you wonder.

5 out of 5 eggsSound Advice

Pros: Every thing is sweet, all components are black plastic and well constructed for todays standards,it will connect as described with no difficulty.Speaker sound is good not exceptional, and as stated by others the remote will not turn speakers on from off position, but will turn to standby and back on.Remember to turn volume up on source so you can get full vol. control.Works as stated on MP3,TV,RECIEVER,AND PC, my media center will not work with this unit, but that is not the wireless's fault it is either my sound card or the way it is configured.I would recomend this product to any one who wants wireless speakers outside the house or in another room, don't buy if your looking for high quality sound, need to spend more.Got these on special with rebate-excellent deal-keep it up NEWEGG.

Cons: Not a con but the speakers will turn to the off position from standby automatically, the wireless unit will not turn off.

Other Thoughts: To me it is not true stereo just 2 speakers recieving the same signal

5 out of 5 eggsSimply Excellent

Pros: Great looking speakers, clear sound (I was impressed for being wireless) Great design. Love these speakers so much this is my second set.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: A bonus would be (not really a con) is that the power cable be the same color as the speaker.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat while it lasted

Pros: Clear sound, decent range, easy setup, good volume.

Cons: Didn't last 6 months. Purchased 12/08, these sat in the box for a few months before I had a use for them, probably in March or April, 2009. We haven't used them that often, a total of perhaps 25-35 times. Yesterday I noticed the transmitter has stopped transmitting a signal. We haven't used them in over a month, so I'm not sure when the transmitter actually failed. Now I have a mediocre set of bookends.

Great idea, good performance, poor quality/longevity. Not worth the money for the use we got from it. Really shoddy craftsmanship. The speakers have a good weight to them, but the transmitter could be blown away in a gentle breeze. There's not much substance there at all and not surprisingly, it appears to be the system's weakest link.

Other Thoughts: *If* I were to get another set (but I wouldn't), I'd only plug in the transmitter when I actually wanted to use it (power, not audio). I think leaving it plugged in full time may have burned something out. It shouldn't have happen so soon or at all considering what these things cost and it's an unnecessary hassle, but it *might* make these last longer.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: Easy to setup. Surprisingly good sound quality for a 3" woofer and 2" mid/tweeter. Good wireless range and low noise.

Cons: Mono, not stereo. Each speaker has a separate volume control and plays a mono signal. But this isn't really a drawback (see below).
Be careful mounting them on a wall; you will need to physically hit the power button to turn them on. The remote can't turn them on from a fully powered off state.

Other Thoughts: Don't think of these as stereo speakers, think of them as 2 separate speakers. You can put a speaker in each room (2 in a big room) for great sound throughout the whole house.
I liked them so much that I bought another pair. I've got all 4 spread out around the house/decks/pool for great sound cheap.
Newegg shipping was great on these, I had them the day after I ordered them.

2 out of 5 eggsWireless Indoor/Outdoor Speakers w/Remote Pair

Pros: The pros of this product that they are wireless and can easily connect to any system.

Cons: Very bad reception in and around the house. I ordered these speakers for a back yard bar-b-que, which was a hugh mistake. The sound dropped several times - to the point where I had to take the speakers and cut them off and use my Bose speakers - placing them in the windows.

Other Thoughts: I like the product, but the performance was terrible. I connected an IPOD to the system and it worked the same. I read reviews prior to purchasing this item and they all seemed positive. I contacted customer service this morning after only having these speakers for four days - I have not received a call or e-mail from them and it is 3:00 PM. I had to put a Technician rating - so because I have not heard from them as of yet - the rating has to be a one.

3 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: Cheap
Easy setup
ultra portable (as wireless speakers should be)

Cons: Not the greatest sound quality. When you turn the volume up too high, they start to crackle. The remote didn't work!! I tried everything for it, but it never wanted to work for me.

Other Thoughts: Newegg, you guys are the fastest shippers I have ever seen. Thank you very, very much!
